about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, 28.1.2026

Hello, I have made a few changes to the site. Unfortunately, I am not quite finished yet, but it should continue without interruption. I hope you find the changes useful. Stay tuned. Konrad

This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, and although their new works must also acknowledge you and be non-commercial, they don’t have to license their derivative works on the same terms.

Number Eleven – Event
[EEM039]

Number Eleven

“Event”

Complex rhythmic combinations, constantly getting faster to the point of losing the structure and becoming a vast halo of drum-like noise tearing the last orchestral sounds, that couldn’t get ready for an end of a process that didn’t even start, and hopeless melodies that aren’t sure if they are supposed to exist.

Having difficulties to cope with worsening states of disorders, Event leaps to search for an answer by removing the definitions completely and allowing to make connections again, to feel attached to things that were once familiar and welcoming. Knowing that this way of searching for the source of the disorders will lead to a failure, by not being able to relate to those things, renders them strange, wiping all of them away. But one of those gets stuck, resisting to go away and holding everything together. The Event leads itself to disengage from everything that could be described with a definition.

“Fungi Compilation”

Unlike plants, mushrooms cannot synthesize their own food from the sun’s energy. They lack chlorophyll – the substance which permits plants to use sunlight to form sugars from the water and carbon dioxide in the air. Mushrooms therefore had to develop special methods of living: symbiosis, saprophytism and parasitism.

Most of the mushrooms growing on the forest floor are intimately linked to trees by symbiosis. This association, called mycorrhiza, occurs between the root ends of a tree and the vegetative system of a mushroom. Mycorrhiza benefits both organisms: there is an exchange of nutrients, one providing to other what it cannot synthesize or extract from the soil by itself. In general, the mushroom helps the tree extract minerals and water from the soil; in exchange, the tree supplies the mushroom with sugar compounds (carbohydrates).

Saprophytism is another important living method for mushrooms, especially for species which grow on lawns, on rotting wood or on excrement. Here the mushroom’s role is one of decomposition. It feeds itself by digesting the organic matter and at the same time returns nutrients to the soil.

Finally, some mushrooms are parasites. There are several kinds of parasitism, ranging from the species which attacks a healthy host (tree, plant or insect) and lives on it without killing it, to the kind which attacks only unhealthy hosts, thereby hastening their death. The parasitic species are generally microscopic mushrooms.

Javier Moraga – Rasgos Particulares

Javier Moraga – Rasgos Particulares
[m029]

Javier Moraga

“Rasgos Particulares”

“Rasgos Particulares” is Javier Moraga’s debut release in Modismos catalogue. Its electronic influence can be traced back many years, through diverse publications inside specialized netlabels like EPA Sonidos and Pueblo Nuevo. He is part of the group Mr & Oso, while also working at Radio Valentin Letelier, the University of Valparaiso’s radio station. He produces the program “Sala de Maquinas,” as well as producing direct presentations and selects synthetic sounds for the station through it’s network, among other things. “Rasgos Particulares,” present delivery could be a sample about Moraga’s interests with contemporary electronic, where certain tone quality is acidic and minimal, as small condiments, they go extending upon alternating atmospheric layers, sustained on defragmented pulses, but traces of the music continue. These particular traits are expressed in the track “Tierno Salvaje” dedicated to the memory of Kurt, a figure that insufflated the spirit of the underground scene of Viña Del Mar and Valparaíso in the nineties, which opens the 52 minutes of music. The other tracks of the album spin perfectly, traveling through titles such as “Miaucheck,” “Arena Lunar (a lo salvaje)”, “Dame Cinco”, at certain moments there is something dark, with minor scales in the tones, a cinematic fiction of the digital reality that we consume daily, but allows us to unwind, yet expresses a world where the organic, virgin and primitive can coexist, as expressed in “Cayehuque (localidad)”. But the continuous progression in “Simulación Colectiva,” runs as a transit towards the final melody of “Rasgos Particulares,” from which a flash of faint light seems to emanate; it comes to a definitive closing with “Resolana.” Which offers a halo of light, in where the final harmony, reiterative and kaleidoscopic, solve all anguish, torment and conflict preceding, balancing the darkness.

The sky lets the darkening and rising time to be. Space is conquered by the higher element. Silence… She’s sitting here a couple of hours already. She observes her surroundings with a paraminic look, she waits until she sees again, until she feels again what she saw yesterday. That time northeast wind loudly running by asked her to look at trees standing naturally regularly. They looked calm and stiff, but when the wind passed their leaves whitely, the leaves breathed freely and started whispering silently, moving synchronously with stars.

Wolf Wrams

“Entropy”

Wolf Wrams constantly explores human psyche, the emotion that arises from it and influences it making further steps towards heights and after that falling down into the abyss. Birth, life and death, and then another birth are the results of it. That is expected from Entropy, perhaps all Wolf’s songs are entropic.

bolus

“confirm humanity”

This EP marks a departure from the “usual” bolus sound of cavernous soundscapes and atmospheres to a more rhythmic structure, incorporating elements of the former. This style harks back to the previously released “beacon” EP – electronic percussion and granular synthesis – this direction was in the artist’s mind for a while. Playing with virtual modular synthesis of late (Solorack by Solostuff, VCV rack) and these patches have formed the backbone upon which the tracks of “confirm humanity” were created.

The topic of this EP is the state of being, the shifts in thinking and the question of identity, when the country you were born in does no longer exist on the political map of the world. Thoughts on this topic were gathered from various Lithuanian artists in order to compose this EP, which was initially a performance for a group exhibition “I Was Born in a Country That No Longer Exists” presented in 2017, in Duisburg, Germany.

Revealing complex interplay, embryonic sensorial analysis and epidermal toxic particles under CPU demands, Hypercube sonic display extends to systemic insensitivity, parametric establishment and modular telepathy over side effects of intercourse adaptation and cosmic lobotomy rituals.

This album also features two tracks re-assembled and tumble dried by Zzy and Jab[ber].wock. Vocals FX on track 2 and track 3 by Metalique. This Album is dedicated to the memory of Thomas Denis (Qebrus).

René Roco – DIT

[M027]

René Roco

“DIT”

In days where freedom around formats in which music is delivered seems to be reaching absolut liberty, Modismo gives us a brief yet overwhelming release by René Roco. With less than 18 minutes in length, we find sounds that manage to immerse us completely in a work of perfect balances. Captivating in its more danceable and pop side, this EP finds a point of equilibrium between melody and beat in ‘DIT’, the shortest of its tracks. In an interesting contrast, ‘TOC’ extends from a more enigmatic side. Curious sounds give the idea of a search that breaks the mold without neglecting the good pulse. Warm Pads are confronted to high frequencies that activate and stimulate our receptors to switch them on and prepare them for a short flight yet rotund. Martial percussive games and ludic keys provide a counterpoint that prepares us for a sudden fall, hanging on notes that fade to silence. In view of this, René Roco offers us a production that invites to start it all over again.

“Conservation of Angular Momentum”

“Conservation Of Angular Momentum” is a touching album full of cinematic ambient sounds. The main attention is paid to the extensive, sublime atmospheres. Convulsing melodies and sound effects in the background do not let the listener fall into a monotonic mood, on the contrary, it evokes a spacious palette of listener’s musical senses.

Getting lost and trying to find serenity. Unable to stay calm even for a moment and the unquenched thirst to create new problems. An ear-splitting explosion and a sinful wave of aggression. The solitude and the awakening of the Beast.

“Sinwave”, the second album of Sinage, a neurotic and chaotic trip to the depths of the emotion and feeling. It’s a refined and melodic album filled with dance beats packed inside a unique sound aesthetic that clashes chiptune synths and rave sounds.

Seek Six Sick – Anti-Macho Rockstar (Sunmantra Remix)

Seek Six Sick – Anti-Macho Rockstar (Sunmantra Remix)
[yesno088]

Seek Six Sick

“Anti-Macho Rockstar (Sunmantra Remix)”

—Aditya Permana (Dekadenz)

“I Follow”

I follow subtle seismic ambient vibrations that immerse me in a deep state in-between the world of dreams and the dream about distant worlds covered in a fog of colours.

Rhythmic and slow landscapes.

The sound is sometimes described as slow IDM. The distinct feature of the album is that only a few tracks have real drum samples, however, almost all of them are quite rhythmical. Rhythms are created just the way J. M. Jarre did that on “Zoolook” – using weird sounds, pulsing synths, and very clear melodies. Due to the lack of easily recognized drums, the album is sometimes ascribed to ambient, however, I’d call it “seismic ambient”, because of extremely heavy basslines.

Number Eleven

“Flying Bricks”

A stupidly named EP, with unthinkable cover, and idiotic track names.

This EP includes the very first track of Number Eleven. A sandbox where random ideas and experiments merged into incomplete forms while searching for sounds and compositions, which sometimes became source material for new tracks. From this sandbox emerged the first few ideas of the way the first album Indefinable should reach its end, how the Blur should start, and how Protrusion should sound.

[IYE25]

GABRIELE RAGONESI

“SOME MORE WHITE NOISE”

We are very happy that Gabriele Ragonesi has chosen In Your Ears as a channel to spread his beautiful music freely. Some More White Noise is a compendium of how you can love music and let it flow in the air. Gabriele gives us a disc full of sweetness and fascinating sound solutions. The genres covered are many, from the lounge to the prog, passing through a very personal and strongly evocative solipsistic electronics.
A passion that turns into love, like the beautiful cover of the disc designed by the Brazilian William Santiago, which makes it very clear what you will hear in your ears.
I have been living in Florence since 1987. I started playing the drums as a teenager and played in various Florentine bands, including Essenza, Ellelunga and Miranda, between the 90s and early 2000s, ranging from an anomalous prog rock, the new wave and the post rock. I hung the chopsticks for a few years, starting again to play alone and to devote myself to home recording around 2005, without live activity, which continues today.
The songs produced for Some More White Noise have been composed, recorded and finished in 2017 with vague references, among others, the album “Islands” by King Crimson, the very first fusion, Brian Eno, the Can and the soundtracks of the 60s films, trying to put together a line that was a small journey and an alternation of different emotions and moods.

Ministik

“Meridian”

Maximal techno and beyond. Filled with polyrhythmic melodies and offscale sounds, precisely controlled bass-lines, massive kicks and sharp percussions.

Scratchy analog electronic ruminations from a quiet veteran Ministik, that ebb and flow like natural processes of evolution, growth or/and decay.

Perception and alienation, with (re)use of techniques, sources, and designs are the main features in his work expressing the world as the artist sees it.

Strange shifting rhythms, finely shaped clouds of noise, and distant techno patterns. Ministik is not a normal DJ. This craftsman will invite you to lose yourself in the depths of the abstract sounds and surreal melodies on concrete based drum patterns.
