about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

BATARD TRONIQUE – Parasite

For more than two decades, Batard Tronique has been building a body of work that is as prolific as it is elusive. Originally from the Saint-Malo area in western France, this self-taught musician has continuously explored the outer edges of breakcore, experimental hip-hop, drum & bass and adventurous electronic music. Behind his many aliases – including Batard Tronique, Slawowycz, Psykoxxx and Khadim – lies a single driving force: a relentless desire to push sonic boundaries and allow each project to develop its own identity.

Working entirely outside conventional music industry pathways, Batard Tronique writes, records and releases his music independently. Choosing the solitude of the studio over live performances, he has spent years crafting a deeply personal universe fueled by constant experimentation. His extensive discography, spread across multiple projects and complemented by his own Paris Zombie Netlabel, reflects an inexhaustible creative drive and a lasting commitment to underground culture and the free circulation of music.

With Parasite, he continues his pursuit of uncompromising, unpredictable electronic music. Fractured rhythms collide with abrasive textures, hip-hop influences intertwine with breakcore explosions, while atmospheric passages emerge unexpectedly from the chaos. Each track behaves like a living organism, constantly shifting between tension, collapse and reconstruction, refusing to settle into familiar forms.

More than simply an album, Parasite is an immersion into a constantly mutating sonic world. It resists categorization, challenges listening habits, and transforms unpredictability into a creative force.

A new chapter in Batard Tronique’s ongoing collaboration with Camembert Électrique, Parasite once again demonstrates his commitment to fearless experimentation, artistic independence and uncompromising underground music.

“LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS”

Various Artist – LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS

LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS is a compilation released by Camembert Électrique, dedicated to slow, dense and immersive sonic forms.

Following MONOLITHIC BLOCKS, this project continues the exploration of an aesthetic grounded in bass, repetition and pressure-based dynamics. The tracks gathered here do not follow a single direction, but they share a common focus on sonic material, its internal movement, and the way it can occupy space.

Some pieces unfold very slowly, while others introduce clearer pulses or more present rhythmic elements. Some inhabit brighter spaces, others more opaque atmospheres, yet all maintain an immersive approach, where sound is conceived as an environment rather than a frontal statement.

Listening unfolds as a gradual immersion into textures that transform, layer and expand. Bass often plays a structural role, not as a dominant feature, but as a gravitational force that helps organise the whole.

LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS thus explores different states of tension and release, between suspension, internal motion and a sense of depth.

Innocent Darkness – The Dark Fungus

“The Dark Fungus,” a self-titled debut album forged in the sonic trenches of Roland MC-707, Bitwig Studio, Vital VST, and Novation Circuit Tracks, is a visceral descent into a nightmare both conceptual and auditory. The premise—a mycological war where a fungal infection forces humanity into a perpetual Witchhouse rave—is handled with terrifying dedication. This isn’t just an album; it’s the soundtrack to a civilization’s slow, rhythmic surrender.

From the first track, “The Mycelial Call (to Dance),” the gear synergy is evident. The MC-707’s tactical groovebox sequencing provides a heavy, slightly disjointed rhythmic anchor, while Vital’s spectral synthesis creates twisting, screeching leads that simulate the infection’s spread. Bitwig Studio acts as the chaotic conductor, processing these elements with ghosted delays and granular textures, making tracks like “Spores of War” feel like they are dissolving in real-time.

Standout track “The Infected’s Trance” perfectly encapsulates the album’s concept, using the Circuit Tracks for an aggressive, relentless Witchhouse beat that violently contrasts with a momentary, hauntingly beautiful melodic pad from the MC-707. The drop is a devastating cocktail of crushing distortion and sub-bass, marking the point where dancing becomes mandatory and grotesque. The album closes with “The Last Rave (of the Living),” a slow, ambient-industrial dirge, featuring chopped-and-screwed whispered vocals that sound like final warnings—or commands—from the fungus itself. “The Dark Fungus” is a dense, challenging masterclass in sonic storytelling, demanding listeners surrender to the dance of the infected.

Typecell – Predictable / Objective

Subplate Recordings honcho and real BADMAN, Typecell emerges from the subharmonic frequency range to exhibit an exploration into gritty, sub-rattling, and infectiously techy Drum & Bass with “Predictable/Objective.”

Serious, cheeky and focused – Rough and gritty yet precise and determined. Typecell nails the objective and discomforts the predictable on “Predictable/Objective.”

Toxic Chicken – Quirky & Perky

‘Quirky & Perky’ is exactly that. It’s an eccentric, ebullient set of sounds from staccato synthesisers and old electronic toys, with quaint and peppy peculiarities, a modicum of metallic percussion and lots of bubbly, unconventional cheerfulness.

Toxic Chicken is the main solo project of the prolific but always inventive multimedia artist Kai Nobuko.
