about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, 28.1.2026

Hello, I have made a few changes to the site. Unfortunately, I am not quite finished yet, but it should continue without interruption. I hope you find the changes useful. Stay tuned. Konrad

“Sei tocar guitarra e gosto de música. Porque não?”
Assim começou o projecto musical do algarvio Pedro Pereira.

florida = death – tape made of tapes

florida = death – tape made of tapes
[pyr046]

florida = death

“tape made of tapes”

florida = death is an enigmatic and cryptic band from connecticut that originally formed in 2005. the lineup has changed over the past few years they are currently a trio that play in the post-information stylee.

their first album for pan y rosas is a reissue of a tape that they sold at their shows once upon a time. tape made of tapes is a compilation of unreleased demos and live tracks reassembled into an aural collage. a document of the band at a particular point in time.

although there is a tracklist – it acts more as a loose guide than a hard and fast truth. the songs and fragments are constructed in such a way that they become a new experience altogether, suggesting a sort of narrative. the sound constantly shifts between psych, weirdo, out rock, drone dirge, noise experiments, and post-info beats before solidifying into an amalgamation of all its parts. as always, make sure to get this one here!

Secrets Of The 45

“Dvaelkvaela”

On February 2nd 2012,on the day of Candlemas, Secrets Of The 45 publish an album inspired by this holiday – a mixture of folklore and catholic symbolism. The whimsical title is a few words from various languages connected to the symbolism of the holiday, interweaving and combined. All the melodies on the record were created out of one church song. Imagining starless winter nights, empty fields covered in February ice, flickering candles in the windows of cottages, which were supposed to keep lightnings and wolves away from households, SOT 45 presents a set of minimalistic drones, transformed distant echoes of singing and organs, tumbling through the freezing landscape.

[hpr052]

Jared C. Balogh

“Rhythms Of Life”

“Rhythms Of Life” is an experimental/avant-garde jazz album written in notation/electronic sheet music, similar in style to the Synclavier work of Frank Zappa.

As Jared describes it: “The Theme of “Rhythms Of Life” is a perspective of my life over the last year and expresses the dynamics, emotions and experiences of family issues, foreseeing future events, reminiscing of great times, traps and schemes of work/job, asking for a miracle to save a loved ones life, having some one you love deeply pass away, when life is moving in a good rhythm, the patterns of day to day life, and the needing to re-find a cohesive bond in a long term relationship.”

Sincope – Close Moving

Sincope – Close Moving
[SOSEP037]

Sincope

“Close Moving”

Sometimes time stops off. Then it starts up again and you wish it run faster, but at the same time you would like to block it. Emotions chase it, as they are synthesized in the debut by Sincope with our netlabel. The atmosphere of the brand new release by the Florence-based duo moves the ambient horizons. Everytime you’ll listen to “Close Moving” you’ll leave for an introspective trip surrounded by darkness and melancholy. This release reminds memories, experiences, that you would not have thought they could re-emerge in your mind, as well as shadow zones unraveling during the listening of the other tracks of the records “Closedowns” and “Fiction”. Deep the piano line that comes up in the videoclip “Close Moving” (which seems to go back to Brian Eno in his golden age) and the synthesis of percussions and far voices that make the track a mix of total trasport and intensity. Sostanze Records is proud to present a release that will make you thinking, something that will stay a long time in your playlists. Warm hearts.

Ars Sonor – The Unborn

Ars Sonor – The Unborn
[ER052]

Ars Sonor

“The Unborn”

Remember, remember, the smoldering spiders embedded forever in your mind, you livers of life. We all have that spider don’t we? That creepy crawling nibbling at our thoughts, our stunted brain. Nightmares from the past. Awake or asleep, but especially asleep. Recall those dreams when you were young? That you thought were real and were indeed real. Those few nightmares whose images stick like ferocious adhesive. Perhaps they were loud, jarring blarings of pavor nocturnus in your ears in screams and crashes and booms, incessant and sourceless. The dreams that brought about our phobias, our regrets, our self immolation. The sleep paralysis, the waking terrors of the night. Perhaps you are immune to such ordeals, but for some they falter not, these unborn realities. What we have for you today at Effluvia, this smelly compost of miracles, is a masterpiece of dark ambiance. It is precotious in it’s unwavering beauty and profound precision. The execution is so vivid and refined and concentrated on one large idea of the inside breaking through and screaming into our listening ears. The brilliance of Ars Sonor, and I consider it an honor that she releases with us netlabelers, is her bona fide devotion to a truly emotionally thwarting excursion. This was the second full length album from this manifestation of Laetitia Schteinberg’s prolific and harrowing output, recorded in August 2011. It was available via itunes, but now both distributor & label are closed, so she has decided to make it available via (cc), God bless her! “In this album I explore a repeating nightmare, the climax of which is the milking of a terrifying spider in a huge cave-like tree-hollow. Expect a surreal, sometimes disturbing (always dark) soundscape.” Such a concept in itself suggests the inevitability of how truly far into the inner recesses of your mind these sounds burrow to, but your assumption will do it no justice. Through these sounds, you will have vivid snapshots of how these horrifying spectacles transpired, and to evoke such feelings is a gift handed only to prodigies. Claustrophobic, otherwordly, creepy, obsessive, I can go on and on, but you dreamers of dreams, you know these terrains for yourselves. I speak so ardently of this perhaps because it stirs up very personal feeling inside of Dishdawash, who is an avid dreamer and embracer of nightmaresWelcome back to the feeling, the nibbling of the spider upon that mind that has ridden your back like a witch.
