about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, 28.1.2026

Hello, I have made a few changes to the site. Unfortunately, I am not quite finished yet, but it should continue without interruption. I hope you find the changes useful. Stay tuned. Konrad

This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, and although their new works must also acknowledge you and be non-commercial, they don’t have to license their derivative works on the same terms.

[EEM073]

dominykas niaura

“bevietystė (placelessness)”

bevietystė (placelessness) tells a bittersweet docu-fictional story through field recordings, ambient, dub, electronic, and other musical experiments. Conceived in 2019, each track is dedicated to a different person, exploring the human condition via themes of mortality, the search for meaning, loneliness, loss, and more.
The result is a deeply atmospheric piece that plays with the tension between memory, imagination, and the passage of time.

[mhrk410]

Julien Palomo + Fabien Robbe

“Miniatures”

Released September 21, 2024 as free (cc) download and beautiful limited edition digipak CD.

“This, our second album, is a collection of synthesized short pieces.

Whether you deem them abstractions due to their strange harmonic contents, or figurative of strange places, is up to you. The key word here is “atmosphere”. They convey no message, they were not created with any intent.

In saying what they’re not, we’re saying they are pure imagination at play. They deal with mental images and perceptions, before language creates order – and falsehoods – out of the plasma of free association.

During their making we never discussed them, bar a few technical points ; never defined them, never worded anything. We never ever mentioned we were actually “doing” them, and really discovered them afterwards.

Of course, we will never succeed in saying nothing. We’re subjects. And the very fact we have to write something about it is the heart of the paradox. But at least we can try. We all deserve a good vacation from meaning. There are other forces at play, like sound.”

Wahn – Drifted Vol. 2

Wahn – Drifted Vol. 2
[mhrk409]

Wahn

“Drifted Vol. 2”

Following the spectral echoes of “Drifted Vol. 1” (on AFTER AFFECTS REC, France), Wahn returns, debuting on Mahorka, with “Drifted Vol. 2”, a deeper plunge into the abyss where despair looms heavier, yet faint glimmers of hope still emerge like distant stars in an endless night. The soundscape is darker, more cinematic, with grainy textures crackling like fractured memories. Lush, slow-motion atmospheres stretch into the void, embracing the listener in a weighty melancholy, where piano keys occasionally pierce the darkness like fragile rays of light, offering fleeting moments of solace.

In this second chapter, Wahn pushes deeper into the balance between hopelessness and the persistence of light. Cinematic undertones weave through the tracks, amplifying the immersive sense of narrative. The sub-bass resonates like a rumble from the earth’s core, making the body itself an instrument in this journey, grounding the ethereal melodies with a tactile, visceral presence. The ambient realms are thicker, more haunting, yet at times they break open to reveal a brief but tender embrace of warmth. Each track unfolds like a slow, mournful exhale, drawing the listener deeper into an intimate dance of sorrow and fragile hope.

Join Wahn as he continues this odyssey, where textures grow darker, the light more elusive, and the journey more introspective. Drifted Vol. 2 is a cinematic exploration into the profound depths of despair, with sub-bass vibrations and fleeting moments of light that make the experience as physical as it is emotional.

Number Eleven – Pickled Alligators

Number Eleven – Pickled Alligators
[EEM072]

Number Eleven

“Pickled Alligators”

Pickled Alligators – a moronic reference to the lizard brain within the host in the party of monetized attention.
Just dance more, relax and enjoy the party! Ingest everything the life has for pleasure and forget the life itself. Why?
A party that is a declaration of nihilism is not a party which instills relaxation – it is a neck gripping spasm of dread. Deeply embroided with loneliness, masked with pseudo-alpha psychopathy. The party has to be a celebration of life – wins and losses, a strive for connection and discovery, through honest communication.
Just bring your garbage on the table to tell us how You feel and let’s move! Bring yourself, with all your foibles and make me dance, rather than tell me how cool you are, playing someone elses words.
What taught you to be afraid? Your Pickled Alligators?
This is my party.

kardaver – Funeral para todo régimen de creencias

kardaver

“Funeral para todo régimen de creencias”

Philippe Neau

“Terres Sonores”

released August 29, 2024

“Ideas
between dreams and reality
concrete sounds and head in the clouds
look with eyes closed
listen inside/outside (mental/sight)

I wanted to mix field recordings and more “melodic” sounds, coming from instruments or atmospheres captured here and there
Play on passages, links between exterior and interiority
The sounds from outside: the landscape; the others being like words in the head, “inner melodies”
I tried to mix all this to create an imaginary place
The images came a little later, the tracks just finished, these spaces seemed obvious to me to clarify my feelings” –Philippe Neau

Orghanon – Future in Motion

Orghanon – Future in Motion
[mhrk406]

Orghanon

“Future in Motion”

Orghanon is the solo venture of Sergio Calzoni, producer and musician active since the nineties in various musical outfits (Act Noir, Colloquio, ILUITEQ).

His 2015 debut “Figures In Slow Motion” (Eibon Records) seamlessly fused trip-hop sonorities with jazz, ambient and glitch elements. It was followed by soundtrack for the theatre performance “F_rankenstein” (2016), the sophomore “Retrospectre” on the cult-boutique Time Released Sound and, after a little hiatus, “Droneworks I-V” (2022) on the Italian label St.An.Da.

While 2023 and early 2024 saw some spectacular output of ILUITEQ (Sergio Calzoni & Andrea Bellucci), August 2024 sees the return of Orghanon with a debut on Mahorka, “Future in Motion”, an album which reconnects with the multifaceted sound that distinguished the first album of Orghanon, but in which the concept of motion becomes more dynamic and accelerated, compared to the static nature and slow movements of “Figures In Slow Motion”

Released August 22, 2024 as free (cc) digital download and beautiful limited edition Digipak CD.

“Sane Beats”

The only thing that matters is beats.
This album is compiled from various tracks spanning two decades – starting from experiments while I was still at school, and ending with the ones composed during the middle-age crisis.
You will hear that there are differences in the way they sound, but my love for rhythm-focused music has never changed.
It’s a journey through a world of beats, exploring the depths of minimalistic techno, the heights of uplifting drum and bass complexity, and transcending dimensions with conceptual IDM conceptuality.
All of those beats are sane – but due to careful and patient hand-crafting they seem to be insane.

WUSA – WUSA

WUSA – WUSA
[YESNO 112]

WUSA

“WUSA”

Wusa, formerly known as Band Zoo, has officially adopted its new name – a moniker inspired by the rich history and philosophical teachings of the Khawagaka tradition. Khawagaka itself is a doctrine inscribed on ancient manuscript leaves from the Samasthamarta civilization. The discovery of these Khawagaka manuscripts has unlocked a gateway to delve deeper into the history and traditions that gave rise to this profound teaching.

The Khawagaka doctrine, along with its spoken language and script, was first introduced in the band’s previous album. This latest release delves even further into the origins of Khawagaka teachings and the culture from which they emerged. It also explores the impact of knowledge industrialization and technological advancement on cultural values and traditions.

Wusa’s musical project is part of Rully Shabara’s long-term artistic endeavor centered around the Khawagaka manuscript, which encompasses language, script, belief systems, mythology, philosophy, history, and culture. This ambitious project operates under the auspices of the Khawagaka Historical and Cultural Archives Institute, an independent organization dedicated to tracking, excavating, preserving, and disseminating all findings related to Khawagaka history.

The Wusa music group functions as a division within the Rijmana Council, tasked with interpreting Khawagaka teachings and culture, and popularizing them among contemporary society through modern mediums such as music, film, and other formats. The names of the Zugrafi script and the Zufrasi spoken language were also coined by the Rijmana Council.

“One of these tributes vol.2: inDirect eVANGELISm (chapter 2)”

released July 6, 2024

The creation of this special compilation has been a labor of love that unfolded over the course of more than two years. This project, spearheaded by Ivo Petrov of Mahorka and Niki Stanchev (Autonomaton, EcoSCi records), and sequenced by Origin_Blueprint (www.aurora-compilations.org), stands as a testament to the power of collaboration. Each track featured in the compilation carries the essence of the individual whose influence transcends boundaries of genre and time. While many of the contributors are long-standing Mahorka artists, collaborators, and cherished friends, a few new names have also been brought on board by Ivo, Niki, and Origin_Blueprint to complement the perspectives and complete the journey.

The spirit of unity and shared passion for music that permeates this compilation is a true testament to the dedication and commitment of all those involved in its creation. The seamless blend of established artists and emerging talents showcases the evolving landscape of electronic music, while also paying homage to the enduring bonds of friendship and collaboration that have shaped the Mahorka community. As listeners embark on a sonic journey through this carefully crafted compilation, they will be enveloped in a tapestry of sounds that not only entertain but also inspire, a reflection of the collective creativity and vision that defines the Mahorka ethos.

[mhrk398]

Joachim Stiller

“Music For Wireless Telegraphs”

Two one hour sound works inspired by and based on, and I quote: “the ominous feeling of winter, dark clouds, the fear of getting lost – and nesting somewhere that feels safe”.

Influences include the soundtracks of Petscop and Nier: Automata, Autechre, 7038634357, COIL, ‘Tomorrow, In A Year’ (The Knife, PlanningToRock, Mt. Sims) and a recurring nightmare.

Released on Mahorka June 17, 2024 as free (cc) digital download and limited double cassette edition.

Commissioned by Sanneke Kleingeld, one of Radio Tempo Não Pàra’s curators, for their ‘ik houd het nest warm’ radio program that aired on the 15th of December 2023.

TNP’s curator Kleingeld had heard an episode of Sounds Between Here and Nowhere (a radioshow by Luca Heydt and Mees Joachim) on Big Toilet Radio and proceeded to discover the artist’s Paradise Mixes made for the 2023 Birds of Paradise exhibition – which featured many unreleased tracks made under Mees Joachim’s Joachim Stiller, Absolute Candor and Zalmroze monikers – and proceeded to commission the artist to create a special mix for the radio station.

The sound work began to live a life on its own – becoming a sound collage of self-sampled unreleased works and new recordings centered around, but not limited to, synthesized sound.

As a fairly ambient / new age sound was warranted for the occasion, Mees Joachim took on their Joachim Stiller moniker to create two entirely original 1 hour sound works, with ‘Radiophonic Sound bath #2’ being the selected piece to be aired on Radio TNP.

The Stiller moniker has been around for a while, albeit used for art / karaoke performances, installations and video works prior to 2023, when it was first used for a music release: ‘And The Overstaying of Welcomes’ in collaboration with Absolute Candor.

Joachim Stiller’s debut album, ‘In Shallow Water’, was released by Bad Boy Jesus Tape Club in April 2024. With these two sound works, released on Mahorka in May 2024, expanding the sound of Joachim Stiller even further.

Credits:
Performed, Produced, Recorded, Mixed, Mastered, etc. by Mees Joachim as Joachim Stiller in 2023, with some recordings dating back to 2021.

Featuring several synthesizers, sequencers, guitar, harp, trumpet and a Nintendo DS.

Synth by Joachim Stiller
Drum Programming by Absolute Candor
Guitar, harp, trumpet by Zalmroze
Artwork by Mees Joachim

Y-DRA – HOREG

Y-DRA – HOREG
[YES NO 111]

Y-DRA

“HOREG”

Horeg is a Javanese term to refer to the sound vibration, in certain cases, it can break window glass or knock off the rooftop. The term was popularized by the speaker competitions in East Java, Indonesia. They travel from village to village in a convoy of trucks while playing very loud electronic music tracks. Horeg is a festival of sound by the grass root people, to occupy public space and amplify their voices that are mostly unheard.

The grass roots are often expunged from society and deprived of all rights as citizens. They are sacrificed for the interests of the ruling class, from political interests to control of natural resources. Nowadays, the class differences are becoming clear, for example in the hierarchy of death which determines who can be sacrificed for the benefit of the higher class. Homo sacer* among us; millions of lives were taken, land seized as if it were normal. The ruling class supremacy is constantly maintained above the others’ suffering.

Horeg is a celebration of sound, sound of rage. Horeg is a homo sacer, who puts up a small resistance in a party. Although by no means anything, it continued to become louder, while planting the seeds of resistance.

The music on this album started from the ideas of grassroots communities party/celebration in Indonesia. From Dangdut, Jathilan, Sumatra’s Orgen Tunggal to Margondang’s funeral party. The music is then placed at another alternate time, in a series of furious noise compositions.

*Homo sacer is defined in legal terms as someone who can be killed without the killer being regarded as a murderer; and a person who cannot be sacrificed.

Somnoroase Păsărele

“AUTO[2]”

Released May 5, 2024 as free (cc) digital download and limited cassette edition.

“From the get-go, it’s been pretty obvious that there is no set formula or path to Gili Mocanu’s Somnoroase Păsărele project, with no strict rules that would block off one approach or another – just a commitment to working in the moment and staying open to whatever signals are there to be channeled. Frans de Waard summed it up quite well in his notes on the first ‘AUTO’ installment, saying “It is a bit of everything; one can hear the influence of techno music, industrial music, minimalism, and cosmic synthesizers […] and while they are finished as compositions, I don’t think these pieces are to be understood as pop songs”, adding that the vibe is more about stimulating the mind than moving the feet.

This collection brings together a different set of pieces into the self-contained system that is ‘AUTO’, weaving them together into a new whole possessed by the same spirit, where unusual sounds are rejuvenated, recycled and transmuted into a resonant landscape that feels like it has a life of its own.” –MMercury

“At The Foot Of The Ladder”

SPTW (Some Pretend to Whisper) is the crossroad where sound collagists Perkin Warbek and Stakha meet.

“Delicately mistreated samples, warped instrumentations, repeated loops, liquefied vocals, scraps of arrangements here and there, abstract swarming, analog tape textures and a few minimalist beats cleverly distilled from hip-hop influences… these are some of the ingredients used by Some Pretend to Whisper to shape its strange daydreams”

“At the Foot of the Ladder” is their debut on Mahorka, released April 15, 2024 as free (cc) digital download and in limited cassette edition.
