about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, 28.1.2026

Hello, I have made a few changes to the site. Unfortunately, I am not quite finished yet, but it should continue without interruption. I hope you find the changes useful. Stay tuned. Konrad

This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.

Honoré Feraille – au sud,

Honoré Feraille – au sud,

Honoré Feraille

“au sud,”

Honoré Feraille is another new artist moniker for Geneva, Switzerland based experimental noise artist Laurent Peter. He records under a collection of different aliases and through several different projects including Diatribes, Heu{s-k}ach, Karst and perhaps the more familiar solo production pseudonym D’incise.

The first official excursion for this new project from an already well established artist is Au Sud, presented here on Audio Gourmet.
Here, the work of Honoré Feraille delves through the sorts of deep, dark and dense drone tapestries that have won the artist so much acclaim via the likes of D’Incise and his other collaborative projects.
As you would expect, the detail and sounds that comprise Au Sud, are meticulously constructed and unfurl carefully over the short duration of this two piece EP. Little more is specified as the artist allows the sounds to wander without purpose, free from order, structure and design

Visciera

“Six Bits Of Black Broken Glass”

This thing – nobody knows what it was or where it came from – fell down right in front of me and broke. Now the pieces reflect what’s around …

There is a tree and me,
things afire while others aspire,
carbon and pain,
concrete and gain,
life and death and relentlessness.

Medo’s Little Trap

“Medicine Sound”

A medicine sound against humanity that screams and shouts.
A small work which is like a whisper, re-discovering the basic things to say.
A delicate work, between electro-pop, acoustic ballads and symphonic bewilderment.

The Plastic Jazz Orchestra – 39°

The Plastic Jazz Orchestra – 39°
[hpcd096]

The Plastic Jazz Orchestra

“39°”

“When talking about music with people, for saying things like “this beat is taken from …” i often get replys like: “yeah maybe, but i like it anyways.” If there wouldn’t be these “but, anyways” i’d be fine with it. We’re all stuck in the 18th century mentally. In the Middle Ages “componere” still had the original meaning of “to enclose”. It was taken for granted to derive new chorales from older ones. Usually parts of such compounds were composed but not completely new works. Whole works were crafted (=facere) which is a facile idea of mechanic humility, something we should care about.”
(Bernd Burnson)

The Plastic Jazz Orchestra was formed by Bernd Burnson in late 2006 as an ensemble electronique for modern music. Tragically Bernd Burnson passed away in summer 2007 and left behind a bunch of young people determined to create something completely different, something new in terms of musical expression. So the tracks from ’39°’ by The Plastic Jazz Orchestra had never been compositions in their origins but handcrafted pieces of what we call music.

“Bad Form”

A lot of Fature’s fifth album pays tribute to the pioneers of the West London and Broken Beat music scene and is heavily influenced by artists like Domu, 4Hero and Mr Scruff. “Bad Form” takes on a more stylistic and jazzy approach to his previous albums but also has sprinkles of Ambient and Drum ‘n Bass to exhibit his many talents.

Rinus Van Alebeek – Return

Rinus Van Alebeek – Return
[zero131]

Rinus Van Alebeek

“Return”

Though I had images of a portual town as Graham Greene visited on his travels, I doubted very much if ‘Port Saïd’ would have been the right title.
I also thought of ‘Cargo.’ I am surprised by the calmness of the piece, and a feeling of warm summer days. At some points it feels like walking through narrow winding streets.

Some of the tapes I used in this radio performance contained snippets of conversations, meetings, evenings with friends, all bringing back memories that lay dormant on one of the shelves of my subconsciousness. It was a pleasure to go there again.

‘Return’ was first played 18. january 2012 on the radio show ‘A Maïzing Session With…’ hosted by Anton Mobin in his apartment in Paris.

I used various cassette players and dictaphones, an effect pedal and a small box full of tapes.

“Bad Conqueror Ep”

Amazing things are happening in 2012. First, it’s winter and it’s cold. But above and to warm your ears, Fresh Poulp Records, Marée Bass and Propuls Akt propose to you a new Ep 100% dubstep, fat and bulky. An idea first initiated by Marée Bass and Propuls Akt where we find the title Bad Conqueror by the french producer PhoniAndFlore in his original version. This track is accompanied by five remixes, dark, and despite the common material, introspective. Among the artists are Vini Selecta, Uzul, N Tone, Yamoy and U.Stone (already with us on Dub Tentacles Vol.2).

From the dirty, distorted ‘Bitter Business’ to the chirpy hip hop shuffle of ‘Grundy’ and the Shakespearian ‘Suits of Woe’, Bardman Business is a strong introduction to the early work of this British producer. [bush30]

The Shimmer Effect

“Uranometria”

to kick off 2012 we are excited and proud to announce the release of the much anticipated debut album, uranometria, by the eclectic south african (sjanine steyn) / scottish (stephen mullarkey) electronic duo, the shimmer effect.

the extact style of the album is hard to pinpoint, with traces of trip-hop and idm coming through, but what stands out is that is a meticulously crafted album from start to finish, taking you on a sonic journey through valleys of deep moods and mountains teeming with hidden energy.

this is how artist put it: “the shimmer effect takes you on a fantastic journey into the unconsciousness with their first album ‘uranometria’. loaded with atmospheric rhythmes, colourful yet haunting soundscapes, and an assortment of flavors, styles and feels, this genre-bending duo delivers what most say is a unique and successful international musical collaboration.”

style: electronica, down-tempo, trip-hop, idm, glitch
