about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Miro, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Terranigma – HydroZone EP

Terranigma – HydroZone EP
[KAM043]

Terranigma

“HydroZone EP”

Slovenian producer meets Drexciya’s aesthetics on a new electro-tech EP.

After many long years of steady growth as a DJ, selector, and electronic producer, the Ljubljana-based Črt Trkman alias Terranigma has taken another important step to becoming one of the most interesting electronic producers in the region. Kamizdat is proud to present HydroZone EP, Terranigma’s second 3-track release, with which Terranigma has taken form and at the same time become a mystery, an enigma.

As an attentive listener, Trkman went through a significant change over the past years, working as a sound technician in Ljubljana’s main electronic venue, Klub K4. His first recognisable moniker was Freeverse and he was one of the first DJs to introduce UK bass and trap derivations. But in 2017, he turned to his roots – to jungle, acid, electro – and started reperceiving the music of his youth under the pseudonym Terranigma.

Terranigma first got noticed for his tracks on two compilations of local electronic music in 2017 and 2018, but it was not until Booster Pack EP (released in March 2019 at Kamizdat) that he started attracting wider attention. The EP was a tribute to adolescence, which caught the careless joy of opening booster packs, the naïve shine of an honest, although commercial surprise.

In a very important year that followed, Terranigma found the foundations, the imagery, the sound he feels comfortable with, and released HydroZone EP. The three songs on the EP show the growing maturity of his sound and the spectrum of what Terranigma is all about right now. The opener Dark Fin strengthens discreet flirtation with Drexciya’s immersive aesthetics, the late night club hazes, and the forward-pushing electro rhythms. The transition from digital to digital-analogue gear is perhaps most clearly heard on the second track, Deep Sea Oddities, where Terranigma shows a new approach to music-making and his hidden potentials. But perhaps saving the best for last: there is the title song Hydrozone with a twist: soft-ambient evolution with a seemingly long fade out for the end of this short-and-sweet EP.

With HydroZone EP, Terranigma is creating his own space, his sound territory, a place where he is most comfortable at. Although clearly envisioning a toxic-water world, embraced also by the cover art by visual artist 5237, his approach is not straightforward. On HydroZone EP, he highlights the possibilities of techno-inspired electro, from club bangers to goosebumped pleasers. The rawness and the broadness.

“Don’t Touch My Scotch b/w Hip-Hop Topics”

So last week we introduced you to P.U.C.K. (Previously Unknown Canadian Kids), the project that cheese and Pot-C were both involved with back in the late 90s. Well today they’re back again! This time with a couple great songs that they recorded back in the early 2000s. Could there be more music from them on the horizon? Perhaps.

Thanks again P.U.C.K! Another dope single. Really can’t wait for the album!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

Nicolas Tourney – Sightline

Nicolas Tourney – Sightline

Nicolas Tourney

“Sightline”

‘Sightline’ is Nicolas Tourney’s first work on Vulpiano Records. A monumentally beautiful work in drone, not a second wasted in the subtle totality of its being.

Words from the artist:

Nicolas Tourney is a French experimental musician, sound designer, and owner of the label Snow in Water Records. His electronic works concern perception and act of listening, with the use of various drones, strings and experimental devices.

Sightline sounds like a landscape made of ether and a silence sewn on our lips. By using spectral rotation of an audible rendering of the present, of a sound as pure perception of the moment, the “Eye-world” (an open concept) introduces the listener into the kinematic perspective of exile and overflight. Listening makes “l’attente” (waiting) your place in life.

Slightline is less about exposing a sound shock than getting into it and, through perception, seeks the withdrawal the senses. Perspectives crossed above visions that are games of scales.

Between Drone making (Drone: rise beyond the present and the gravity of the bodies) and Soundscape practice (Soundscape: one word calls for another, a sound seeks to surpass itself in silence), Sightline is like a slow walk, when you listen to a glass surface in its resonance. In the distance, the soundscape stretches to infinity from a constantly redefined vanishing point.

Blear Moon – Expanding lands

Blear Moon – Expanding lands
[SPRESS_11]

Blear Moon

“Expanding lands”

Hi!
In this work I combined various methods of experimental processing of the sound, including tape processing, using space acoustic, granular synthesis, micromontage, using space acoustic and pitching techniques. Some of my methods I developed while working on my Bachelor thesis on Sound art, but in case of my music I am applying this on my materials, that I am getting from my daily synth improvisations once inspired by Nils Frahm as his own daily routine. Most of my improvisations is strongly emotionally based and in case of Expanding lands I picked materials from past two years when I changed my living location a lot – Czech Republic, Taiwan, Urals of Russia. Because of that from track to track mood is very moving from melancholy to dark and from meditative to intense.
