about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

“The Preserving Machine”

How to preserve music from oblivion…

Put the sheet music on the machine. Wait. An insect or similar kind of animal is produced. Let it live and transform. Put it back on the machine. Wait. A new sheet music is produced. Play it. (over an idea by Philip K. Dick)

Lluvia Acida – Cacique Mulato: la leyenda de Chumjaluwun
[pn223]

Lluvia Acida

“Cacique Mulato: la leyenda de Chumjaluwun”

As musicians born and raised in Magallanes, we have a fascination with the vastness of the pampas and the stories woven there. The Aonikenk (Tehuelche) people are an indivisible part of that landscape, marking it even with their absence. Those men and women who pursued guanacos, rested in their shelters under the stars, and marched endlessly toward the horizon somehow still linger there. That’s why we wanted to get involved in the production of the film that revisits the life of the last chief of the Aonikenk people in Magallanes: Chumjaluwun, better known by the nickname Cacique Mulato.

To make a meaningful contribution to this work, directed by our friend Jorge Grez Leuquén, we began by researching how that world sounded. We searched for recordings of voices singing in the ancestral Aoneko language and embarked on something that set the course for this project: the reconstruction of an ancient Aonikenk string instrument called the “koolo”, whose last traditional player passed away nearly 40 years ago. We also came across the beautiful recording of the “Quena de San Gregorio”, an instrument discovered on the shores of the Strait of Magellan, which was reconstructed through a Fondecyt project.

Building upon these sounds, we started composing music, initially using various percussion instruments and our own voices. Later, we incorporated string instruments, synthesizers, and ambient sounds created with software. The sound of this soundtrack reinforces the primary idea of the film: how the Aonikenk world was progressively altered and ultimately cornered in the name of Civilization and Progress.

We appreciate the director’s trust and enthusiasm in embracing our proposal. We are very pleased to have contributed our sound to his film, a great collective effort to make cinema far from the mainstream audiovisual industry. A film that tells a story that should be known and never forgotten by those of us who inhabit this divided and fenced land.

Dissolved – Island Flux Remixes

Dissolved – Dissolved
[S27-201]

Dissolved

“Island Flux Remixes”

Island Flux remixes brings together a diverse group of artists who were given the raw elements from Dissolved’s 2022 album “Island Flux”.

Given no restrictions, each artist has placed their own unique stamp on the tracks, resulting in a collection that stretches and morphs into new expanses while allowing the ghosts of the originals to still exist. The original album cover depicted an unknown and strangely isolated island, located ‘somewhere’.

To reflect the way these remixes expand and change the originals, the original photo has been artificially expanded, revealing a new expanse of ocean and sky, somehow making the island even more remote and mysterious and allowing the music to take you on a different voyage.

Original tracks taken from the album “Island Flux” by Dissolved.

“The Cat Has Left”

“The Cat Has Left” is the actual song I was singing in my childhood after I’ve been done with “The Cat Has Cometh”. So, I borrowed the name for this album which features remixes of the most insane tracks from my previous one, first composed during live performances and then recreated.

My music is not always dark, but when it is – it is never dark.
THINK POSITIVE!!!

If you squeeze a full discography of minimal techno into 14 minutes you will get a crêpe.
EAT FRUITS!!!

Life is to be enjoyed slowly.
CALM DOWN!!!

“Every moment is in a constant flux of interaction and change.”
“HUEHUEHUE!!!” – said changing colour hues.

Tasuketekun – Yukari
[[mi302]]

Tasuketekun

“Yukari”

The name 縁 (Yukari) means “connection, affinity”, and that is what we can find and listen in this EP.

Yukari is a 3-track EP that brings us barren, almost deadly industrial landscapes that fuse vastness and apocalyptic vibes with an oddly personal paranoia.

This is a release for noise connoisseurs who love listening to a record and letting themselves be carried away by madness or senescence depending on how they feel about this style of music.

‘this album is a tribute to the fascinating work of romantic poet Novalis – each track a poem of Novalis rendered with the exellent generative software ‘chant’ (which transforms each letter into a single tone to render it into chords and melodies) at www.waterplea.com.
I hope you enjoy the musical interpretation as much as I enjoyed reading the poems.’

Markus Masuhr

“The Dub Theory “The Last Chapter””

In ethereal echoes, roots find their way,
Beneath the veil of night, they gently sway.
Through enigmatic depths, they spread and roam,
Resonating whispers, finding their home.

Celestial dubscape, a symphony divine,
Nebulous rhythms, in cosmic design.
A dance of stars, a celestial ballet,
Harmonizing galaxies, light years away.

In tranquil resonance, the worlds align,
Subterranean pulse, a heartbeat so fine.
Through layers of earth, the secrets unfold,
A mystical journey, ancient and bold.

Amidst the unseen, where mysteries lie,
Roots and rhythm touch the sky so high.
With every pulse, with every breath,
A cosmic dance, life’s song and death.

In the depths below and skies above,
Nature’s harmony, forever in love.

Lonerist – Attic Dub Demos
[Insectorama163]

Lonerist

“Attic Dub Demos”

in the depths of dub’s embrace, echoes play,
A journey through delay, where shadows sway,
Safe spaces found within each sound’s bloom,
Apothenia’s release, a soul’s cocoon.

Project Zero, a canvas to explore,
Breaking chains of time, forevermore,
A captive of time’s grasp, seeking light,
In endless nights, stars guide our flight.

In Chapter Houses, secrets intertwine,
This brain on dub, a mystical shrine,
Destiny dub, the beats align,
Ripchords of fate, intertwine.

Locked in syndrome, mind’s voyage untamed,
Dream logic dances, reality maimed,
Amidst the long goodbye, we find our way,
Lost in rhythms, where dreams sway.

Davor Tosovic – Dark Forest

Davor Tosovic – Dark Forest
[Insectorama162]

Davor Tosovic

“Dark Forest”

In the depths of the dark forest’s embrace,
Where shadows dance with mystery and grace,
Stands a night house, cloaked in eerie haze,
Whispering secrets of forgotten days.

Within its walls, a haunting octave range,
Unveils melodies that speak of change,
Like chords that vibrate through the silent air,
Echoes of a timeless, ethereal affair.

We are this way, seekers of the unknown,
Roaming through the forest, not alone,
Drawn to the enigma, the mystic allure,
Where secrets dwell, untamed and pure.

In the dark forest’s depths, we find our home,
Where night and day forever interweave and roam,
A symphony of whispers, ancient and profound,
As we dance to the rhythms of a world unsound.

XYIZ

“Basal Alignments”

In the night, the streets come alive,
With the bassdrum’s pounding drive.
Chords in 4/4 for the floor, they soar,
Guiding our souls through the city’s core.

Echoes dance with delays, whispering low,
As melodies bloom, like stars aglow.
The bassdrum pulses, a rhythmic beat,
A steady heartbeat on the city’s heat.

Through the night, we wander, hearts aflame,
Lost in the music’s hypnotic frame.
The streets embrace us, a nocturnal stage,
Where dreams and passions intertwine on this page.

“5 years a goose”

Five years ago i started publishing music on Bandcamp, so a small celebration seems to be appropriate. The tracks on this album are all made during the last five years, two tracks are reworked versions from two of my albums (“kleine stücke” and “Herbarium”), two tracks are inspired by the Beat Battles (formerly on metapop, now on discord, the rest have never been published before. The last track (“arctic goose”) is brand new.
