Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. Julian Winter – Home

Julian Winter – Home

Julian Winter

“Home”

Julian Winter’s latest 5 track EP “Home” is a combination of autobiographical tracks, describing his short journey through Europe in the fall of 2018. Each city is portrayed by a flavor of its ambient sounds combined with Julian’s musical interpretation of the untangleable combination of a city’s impression and his own mind state at the given time.

Each track manages to translate a strong emotional impression, ranging from nostalgic up to a dramatic sense of being overcome by one’s own existence. This wild diversity of feelings enables “Home” to grab your attention, and pull you into the composer’s brain in order to get a clear view from his perspective, to take you along on his journey.

On a musical level, the depiction is realized by laid back guitar melodies and piano parts, which are accompanied by Julians trademark rhythmic variations using real percussion instruments. His use of post production and editing manages to give “Home” an extremely organic and up to date feel, thus making it qualify as a worthy successor to all of his previous work.

All tracks written, performed and produced by Julian Winter, except for “Paris”, which was written by a female member of Anonymous.

Mixed by Gerrit Elbrink.

sevensy

“Reckoning (Creation)”

released November 2, 2023

sevensy (aka Austin Brooks) creates music that directly facilitates imaginal sojourns, wherein the message is the sound itself. sevensy mixes electronic and natural sounds with processed guitars and acoustic instruments and has released his music with Mahorka from the time of the label’s inception.

His musical themes ‘unfold into an unusual landscape’ so that it is often impossible to tell where one ends and another begins.

“Form emerges, as fragile as a snowdrop’s blossom, as solid as a mountain, then recedes and is transformed. Awareness witnesses the interplay of all things. “Reckoning (creation)” aims to musically depict this metamorphosis. Acoustic or treated electric guitar forms the basis of every piece, though this may not be evident upon first listening. Layers of synthesisers and bass are interwoven with fragments of melodies that coalesce and dissolve.”

Euphoria Echoes of Inotai – Time Tomb LP

Auto Draft

Euphoria Echoes of Inotai

“Time Tomb LP”

Euphoria echoes of gazing at the uncontrived sameness.
Euphoria echoes of finding rest in illusion.
Euphoria echoes of spectral freezing.
Euphoria echoes of raising the wattage on that dim holy halo.Euphoria echoes of circles of ornamentation,
of inexpressible expanse of sound,
of spooky action at a distance,
of otherworldly concerns.

Euphoria echoes of unpredictory sensory inputs.
Euphoria echoes of self-justifying circulation of intensities.
Euphoria echoes of the girl that won’t return your love but is totally worth it.
Euphoria echoes of the desert called our culture.

Euphoria echoes of sleeping cat shadow,
of meaning making machines,
of the cognitive dissidents,
of feast that eats itself.

Euphoria echoes of tikkun olam.
Euphoria echoes of veiling their vices in virtuous words.
Euphoria echoes of male desire for salvation through gadgets.
Euphoria echoes of her who was here long before the apes started dreaming of gods.

Euphoria echoes of inotai, adonai, you and i….

Break On Beacons – An uninterrupted flow of images, shapes and colors…

Auto Draft

Break On Beacons

“An uninterrupted flow of images, shapes and colors…”

ENGLISH VERSION

What excitement when two artists that we have published separately with different projects join forces to release a first album together… and even more so when it sounds like an achievement. This is indeed the case of Break On Beacons, where we find at the beats Valgidrà from Rennes and at the synths Innocent But Guilty from Bordeaux (half of Wintermute, among others : indierockmag.bandcamp.com/album/rubber ), two French electronic musicians whose collaboration finds its origin in IBG’s remix and collective projects, in which Valgidrà took part several times. The later has been following the work of IBG for a while, finding common ground in his trip-hop/abstract fiber, while Foolish Records’ founder discovered the music of his new playmate through IRM Netlabel, particularly with the album “Watched Watchers” (indierockmag.bandcamp.com/album/watched-watchers) and the EP “Daily Grinders” recorded with Konejo (indierockmag.bandcamp.com/album/daily-grinders-ep), both released in 2021. From the start, when listening to this joint project whose name evokes the exploration of unmarked paths, the idea of getting off the beaten track and especially the limits that we unconsciously have imposed ourselves, we feel both in familiar territory and at the same time heading towards the unknown in a more cosmic way than expected from the two. We recognize the deep, dark and ethereal textures with subtle melodic patterns of IBG – whose sound seems to have evolved this last year from heavy and radical drone (cf. his brilliant Anteraks project along with Uburgründ from Romania) towards something more aerial, between electronica and trip-hop, and also Valgidrà’s signature beats at the crossroads of abstract groove and dry IDM as well as his sense of rhythmic vocal samples, on the title track for example. And yet, “An uninterrupted flow of images, shapes and colors…” constantly gives the sensation of tending towards unexplored horizons, somewhere between outer space and inner landscapes, an album which casts off towards an “elsewhere” made up of both sonic adventures and introspection, epic times and suspended moments, dreams and disillusionment. In a word : a gem !

“Timeless Psychoactive Music for Ambient Music Lovers”

In early August 2023, I was having a hard time navigating the Threshold Of Boredom (cf. Sleazy Peter Christopherson). Most of my contacts were on holidays and I was feeling lonelier than ever.
Having too much (?) time on my hands and having just been acquainted with Bull Of Heaven (check them!), I decided to tackle my pathological impatience and gardening disability by creating a sound piece lasting as long as possible (within my possibilities); it ended up as SEED IN PROGRESS, 20 hours long.
I invested, digested and regurgitated a good deal of my released and unreleased music into it, acquiring a small crumb of patience by every sound effect taking, literally, 40 hours to complete, during which I had to go on with the “rest of my life” and wait.
When I made SEED IN PROGRESS available, Orestes kindly offered to rework it into something else, with numerological wisdom, condensing the original 20 hours into 3 hours, 33 minutes, 33 seconds.
Here we are. Here it is. Here we is.

(The original 20-hours SEED IN PROGRESS is freely available from musicforunion@gmail.com. It is very different from this, with much more silence and much less activity, for which i am so grateful to Orestes. All Hail The Necrophile Hummingbirds In Our Souls.)

So these words by HOMO tell all about it, I just answered to the amazing sound piece HOMO did (be sure to check it!), I could add that the essence of creation is that chat through time and space between dreamers, like a being split in so many parts trying to understand what happens. But is it really necessary not to keep silent this, when You can dream of the future ?

Tomoo Kosugi

“Overwrite”

From the land of the Rising Sun comes Overwrite, a beautiful album created by musician Tomoo Kosugi.

Overwrite composed of 10 songs is an album that matured for a year. An album that sounds like music that could be born naturally from the landscape itself. Quiet, cloudy and languid; ambiental and beautiful, but full of details that make the sound experience an unforgettable journey.

It’s a very beautiful and calm album that will stay in your minds for many months, especially now when the seasons are starting to get colder.

bolus

“Sermons”

Sermons is bolus’s first full length release and originally started as a soundtrack to an imaginary film, but became a composition in it’s own right during production.

It moves from undulating rhythms and samples derived from satanic possession and religious fervour, to organs and the drone – drone-like compositions usually attributed to Bolus.
