about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, 28.1.2026

Hello, I have made a few changes to the site. Unfortunately, I am not quite finished yet, but it should continue without interruption. I hope you find the changes useful. Stay tuned. Konrad

This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.

LR Friberg – Green Sun

LR Friberg – Green Sun

LR Friberg

“Green Sun”

“Beneath the shimmering dome of Green Sun, a microcosm thrives – a lush, self-contained Eden on an otherwise barren world. Inside, an orchestra of flora stretches skyward, the leaves glowing with bioluminescent hues, breathing in the filtered light of a fading star suspended above. The air is thick with the hum of pollinators, tiny drones weaving between towering ferns and crystalline blossoms, their movements blending with the symphony of rustling vines and cascading water. As the biodome’s automated systems pulse with life, the boundaries between nature and machine dissolve. Roots entangle glowing conduits and algorithms mimic the chaotic patterns of growth, nurturing an impossible diversity of plant life. The dome is not just a sanctuary but a living organism – a dream of renewal in a dystopian future, where the air vibrates with a sound both eternal and unearthly.” (Aria Argento)

“Aural Vault: Chapter Three”

The third and final part of the Aural Vault series consists of three expansive, intricate tracks by Slavek Kwi (alfa00, Artificial Memory Trace) and Linn Friberg (LR Friberg, Nimbostrata). The tracks span a period of over a year, with Slavek creating them between 2022 and 2023, and Linn adding her contributions in late 2024. The gap in time was due to personal matters unrelated to the music, but the process remained remarkably consistent. Artistically, the material is highly refined, building on their 2022 collaborative album “Aura Colemount” on Mahorka. The work carries a timeless quality, evolving from the anxiety of 2022 into a more cautiously optimistic mood shaped by the passage of time.

“Aural Vault: Chapter One”

In October 2023, a number of artists submitted tracks for a compilation project intended to serve as a time capsule, set to release exactly a year later. While some artists drew connections between their work from the 1980s and the present day, others included messages aimed at the future, meant to be read in 2024. This project served as an exploration of timelessness, with each artist’s perspective on their work being deeply personal and not easily shared with the outside world. Their inspirations varied — some drew hope from the past, while others tackled their fears. For a few, it turned into an exercise in nihilism, as they stripped their work of all meaning to reflect their views on the world, offering a glimpse into their personalities. And, others expressed a desire for drastic changes to make the world safer.

“Consistent Fluctuations”

I am celebrating the Iso Brown 25th anniversary by releasing a new “Consistent Fluctuations” album. This 2024 release features twelve tunes showcasing an eclectic collection of tracks that traverse a rich landscape of musical styles. Listeners can expect pulsating breakbeats that invigorate the senses, deep and resonant garage dub techno that transports them to the underground, melancholic leftfield electronica that stirs emotions, and the nostalgic vibes of analog indie dance that beckon movement on the dance floor. Additionally, three tracks include contributions from the enigmatic Jo Défunt, who adds poetic and surreal vocals to the mix.

“To Be Found Again”

This is a (semi-)modular tribute to Virginia Woolf, made entirely with analog synths: the Moog Mother-32 and Moog Subharmonicon. I also used two Zoom MS-70CDR+ effect pedals, Zoom H1n and Mackie Mix5. The final touches were added on my laptop using Valhalla Shimmer and iZotope Ozone for post-processing.
