Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. Reversed Bear Trap – Apocalyptic Drill

Reversed Bear Trap – Apocalyptic Drill

Reversed Bear Trap

“Apocalyptic Drill”

An attempt to adapt Juicy J’s mixtape Blue Dream and Lean – particularly his knack for transforming hedonistic excess and everyday encounters with violence into mind melting mantras – into an apocalyptic mode that pushes the cultural exchange of sampling to an extreme where noise and pop merge.

Reversed Bear Trap (Krista Bloom) – samples, modular synthesizer, Teenage Engineering Medieval Sampler, pedal rack, production
K7 Leetha – “weird little pulse” (1)
Muratore Family – album art

Special thanks to my friends and colleagues at both the university and the movie theater as well as pan y rosas discos, my family, my partner and my dog; this album is in part a tribute to your support and kindness as I try to make art while also finishing a dissertation.

Potenciómetro – Radio Singles EP

Potenciómetro – Radio Singles EP

Potenciómetro

“Radio Singles EP”

There was a time when the single had a clear and almost unquestioned purpose within the music industry: to service radio. Three minutes, a tight structure, an immediate hook—everything engineered for rotation and repetition. Radio airplay promised visibility, legitimacy, and mass circulation, yet this system was never neutral. Mainstream radio has long functioned as a gatekeeping apparatus, filtering out independent music in favor of commercial priorities and market-friendly aesthetics. Within this landscape, the underground inherited the single not as a genuine point of entry, but as a relic of a system that consistently shut its doors.

“Radio Singles”, the new EP by Potenciómetro (René Roco, Polwor & Mika Martini), engages this legacy with a sense of irony. At its center lies “Qué es lo que quieres, baby” (“What Is It That You Want, Baby”), presented in two versions: one produced and performed by the trio, and another generated through artificial intelligence, as if the track itself were questioning its own function. The lyrics lean deliberately into irony, oscillating between commentary and parody, while the production pushes toward an electronic sound tinged with seventies nostalgia—an echo of a radio dial that few are still listening to.

The EP closes with “Gliptodontes en fuga” (“Glyptodonts on the Run”), a track built for the dance floor, where hypnotic rhythms, erratic textures, and spectral voices converge without seeking approval or validation. If the first gesture undermines the single as a format, the second reclaims it through motion: a reminder that irony, too, has a body -and can still make you move.

“Mother Nature”

The initial impulse for this album was the wind howling through our apartment in Prague. It was very intense. I couldn’t resist developing it further. That led to other field recordings—some new, some from my archive. Throughout the album, I occasionally add musical instruments. The human element in the piece “Zlatý déšť” is itself a natural phenomenon.

Sphere within Sphere

“96/99”

Formed by Hiroyasu Izumori (Isolate Line) and Yuusuke Shimosada (Sparkler), Sphere within Sphere are a Japanese duo who create immersive soundscapes, blending electronics with guitar textures, noise, and glitch.

The project centers on memory as a living presence rather than a fixed past. Referring to 1996 and 1999 as emotional coordinates, the work explores how vanished moments continue shaping the present.

Their music dissolves genre boundaries, balancing algorithmic structures with fragile human resonance. The result is a post-everything sound where abstraction and emotion coexist within shifting sonic spheres.

The artwork—a Polaroid held against a landscape—visually captures this layering of time, framing memory within observation.

Jazzaria

“Ominous Empathy”

Empathy isn’t always what it seems – it might simply be sympathy for the plight of another. Superficially, such efforts are still noble – but a deeper understanding requires genuine connection. Supposed empathy, sometimes ominously, fails to meet this bar.

Once upon a time there were two mice. Despite their size, they imagined a world where they could do whatever they wished – where all other forces submitted to their designs. They had this dream quite frequently – essentially, every night.

Submersion – Inhering

Submersion – Inhering

Submersion

“Inhering”

On the ocean-planet Inhering, the research vessel Submersion drifted through endless cobalt fog.

Inhering I began as a low horizon—distant mountains breathing dub chords into the mist.
Inhering II unfolded in tidal plains of glass, where echoes circled like slow satellites.
Inhering III pulsed beneath submerged forests, each chord a lighthouse flicker in liquid dusk.
Inhering IV rose last—vast, starless skies trembling with atmospheric resonance.

The crew realized the planet wasn’t silent; it was composing. Landscapes spoke in reverb, valleys hummed in delay.

They did not land.

They listened—
and became part of the echo.

PROCESS:

Goff and LaGrega recorded ninety-nine minutes of unrehearsed improvisations on January 2, 2026, at the Taped Rugs Studio in Kansas City, Kansas, USA. The duo produced four individual recordings during the session, each following its own unique trail of interactive atmospheres and moods. Goff edited these recordings into their current forms between January and February, 2026, cutting the total playing time by roughly half of its original length.

The elements of “Uniphonic Dawn” were recorded first, as a single, digital, monophonic track. Originally intended as a test of the wiring set-up, this piece ended up displaying some considerable interactive artistry between the improvisers. Goff retained its monophonic attributes in his edit.

The other three improvisations were each recorded digitally as well as on cassette tape, through a Tascam 4–Track cassette deck. The cassette recordings broke the instrumentation into tracks that could be edited individually. Staying as true as possible to the ebbs and flows of the original improvisations, Goff removed some of the less compelling materials, moved some other elements forward and backward in time, and sparsely added effects to various bits. No materials from any of the four original recordings were transferred to any of the other original recordings. No new elements were added to any of the original recordings. No artificial intelligence (AI) was employed in the editing of this collection.

THEME (?)

As Goff painstakingly worked to refine these recordings, he became more and more conscious of how they acted together to subtly reveal the rudiments of a metaphorical jumping-off point for a journey into a new beginning. (Of course, this metaphor was conjured entirely by Goff’s imagination, which has often been known to stray from traditional human behaviors.) Goff’s whole “new beginning” idea was reinforced by the fact that this collection of recordings was literally birthed at the beginning of a new year.

“Memory Rebellion”

The prolific noise artist Gensei Hasegawa, who has released countless records around the world, finally arrives at MiMi Records with Memory Rebelion.

This 4-track EP is an experimental, avant-garde descent into dark ambient and harsh noise wall noise.

Like memories refusing to fade, the album builds towering walls of sound, corroded and unrelenting, where distortion becomes remembrance and rebellion becomes resonance against silence. A confrontation with forgetting in brutal form.

A sonic journey that must be listen.

Câmera Analógica – even the softest hearts need somewhere to rest

Câmera Analógica

“even the softest hearts need somewhere to rest”

It is another beautiful debut in the MiMi Records catalogue.

This time, the project Câmera Analógica presents even the softest hearts need somewhere to rest, an EP built as a collection of small scenes, inspired by the aesthetics of visual novels and the soundtracks of the 2000s. Each track is presented with beautiful lo-fi beats that capture an intimate, quiet moment, where comfort, nostalgia, and emotional pause meet.

The record moves through urban landscapes, lighter weekends, and moments of contemplation, creating a safe space for feelings that don’t need to be explained. The track titles carry personal meanings, yet remain open to interpretation, inviting the listener to find their own stories within the sound.

An EP to listen to on repeat with headphones.

R cord

“Distant Pressure”

In Distant Pressure, R cord broadcasts from a city that hums itself to sleep. Echoes ripple through concrete, guiding a lone driver on a neon Night Drive. Beneath the streets, the Subharmonic Field breathes, bending time. The air tightens—Distant Pressure—then breaks into Waves of memory. Deep In (I a-b Reedit) sinks the listener below signal and thought, with Fingers in the Noise tuning reality by touch. At dawn, Distant Echoes – the Radiant Edit fades, and the city remembers it was alive.

Jazzaria

“The Practiced Tone and the Drop of Blood”

Periodically, things happen. The specifics depend upon whom they are happening to. Regardless, it can be understood as the union of two sets – that which is expected, and that which is not.

The expected is best met with preparation – practice makes perfect, when a thing can be practiced.

The unexpected requires something else – it asks of us a certain height. To achieve what we can, and to go beyond it, even – especially – imperfectly.

Featuring clarinet.

KYO

“Outtemporary”

In the orbital city of KYO, a new dubtechno signal dropped: Outtemporary. Static Flow powered the reactors, a steady pulse holding time in suspension. Along the Driftline, ships slid without thrust, guided by bass and delay. At the Peripher, shadows listened as Echoform folded memories into sound. When systems failed, Aftershape emerged—residual rhythms rebuilding the future from reverberation. The city survived by looping forward, forever out of time.
