about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Danke Sun – Bandeja de plata

Danke Sun – Bandeja de plata
[BSMX0191]

Danke Sun

“Bandeja de plata”

Today we’re happy to present to you the debut single from Danke Sun, a spanish alternative-rock band formed by Jordi Bohigues and Javier Peiró, both members of Daily Khaos delivery (DKd). The name of Danke Sun came about as an attempt to shorten their band name into something more simple and catchy. The project kicked off at the end of 2016 and lyrically brought the band back to their origins, writing songs in their mother tongue.

As Danke Sun, they continue making music in the same ways they did with Daily Khaos delivery and their side-project Deadlines, but with a bigger influence coming from eighties pop-rock bands that were big in Spain.

It was back in 2016 that we last heard from Jordie and Javier, with the release of their album Lose Your Ways and singles. We’re thrilled to have them back with this, the first of three singles.

Bandeja de plata contains the addictive title track, a great exclusive non-album B-Side called Corporative and a couple great remixes… one by OWTRIPLEBANG and the other by yours truly, mGee (which is the first thing I’ve done musically since 2016).

So, enjoy this taste of what’s to come. In two weeks, on July 3rd, we drop the album Aquí hay una araña.

Jordi and Javier, thank you both for coming to blocSonic with your new project! It’s always great to help turn fans on to your music!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

[UPL 082]

Jan LF Strach

“Implozjo Wizja! EP”

Hopping into subspace, Diving into prememory etc – – My first work after logging out of facebook with teh beginning of this year – as per tradition, scampering heap of sounds played half-asleep within the last few years, drawing from everyt=where and nowhere. We have looped brass bands from Jasna Góra, something borrowed from a cassette bought at a pawn shop, preprogrammed, non-4/4 casio beats with psychedelic guitar solos , birds over the Rusałka lake. Every evening I stand before an impossible choice – to play a bit more, barely standing upright, or to go to sleep at normal time at least once – here is the result of these dilemmas – good night for now -_-

Mild Wild – Vol. 1

Mild Wild – Vol. 1

Mild Wild

“Vol. 1”

This music is written and recorded quickly to capture the emotion of the moment. It’s lyrics are mostly taken from stream of conciseness and short journal entries. Some sections work to tell a story while others are content to depict abstract thoughts and feelings. The songs contain themes of selfishness, youth, consumerism, relationships, pollution, drug use, duality, religion, and employment to name a few. Although it is up to the listener to take away whatever messages they hear.

The project has been a work in progress since 2018, picked up when it felt right and not forced. All 12 songs were recorded to cassette tape using a Tascam Portastudio. Guitars, and ukulele make up the majority of the instrumentation but banjo, synth, harmonica, and bells can be found throughout. In place of traditional drums found objects and small percussion have been layered and sampled to build a backing rhythm. While tracking a variety of guitar pedals were placed in line to manipulate the sounds. Nearly all of the vocal tracks have been run through a “Hall of Fame” reverb pedal and very little post production work was done. Vocal doubling and hard stereo panning aim to give the tracks a spacious and ambient feeling. Each track is different but the methods used to capture the audio give the project unity.

Mild Wild has taken it’s influences (both sonically and visually) from the writer’s experiences and upbringing, many of which are subconsciously sourced. However some artist that have directly shaped the direction of the music include The Beatles, Kool A.D., Mac Demarco, Pavement, The Kinks, Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, George Orwell, Ansel Adams, and Vincent Van Gough. Although that list could be much longer with more self reflection.

Mild Wild creates music not for profit but to share a brand of creativity that is truthful. All the songs included in Vol. 1 are free to download and use however others may see fit. The music is licensed under a Attribution Creative Commons. The hope is that the sounds when set free will organically find their way into other creative places.

“Riverside of Uji”

Joan’s Diary – Vargtimmen

Joan's Diary – Vargtimmen
[IYE37]

Joan’s Diary

“Vargtimmen”

Born in 2011, JOAN’S DIARY made their debut with the ep HYSTERIA for Toten Schwan Records, followed by the album AND OR NOT (Toten Schwan / ® esisto) and HELLO, BLOODY SISTER also on Toten Schwan (which will make use of graphic works by the master Sergio Padovani) and in 2015 TSUCHIGUMO (latest release for Toten Schwan Records).

They partecipate in several compilations and a 4 way split with Luciferi, OV Temple and Inghippo. The latest album was called SINDROME VAUCANSON and was released on Tu-Fa Records in Palermo. The group is made up of Davide Rossi, Luca Rossi and Eleonora Frascatore.

This is a tribute to the memory of DAVIDE ROSSI who in September of the year 2019 had decided to end his existence by giving us an appointment somewhere else.

The tracks that make up this album are drafts of what could have been something new for JOAN’S DIARY and which I found in a forgotten folder on my computer.

I completed them myself, trying to keep faith with Davide’s approach, as far as I could. They represent one of the many ways that I put in place not to forget him and to alleviate the pain still alive for his silent escape.
If he had had them in his hands they would certainly have been different, probably better, but I am not and will never be like him, so take them like this, as they came out.

It is an album that does not seek glory or complacency, but which only aims to keep his memory alive.

Many Thanks to Marco Valente of Toten Schwain Records, and Anime Nere.

DonPepego

“Terra Aberra”

DonPepego is coming back with new LP called “Terra Aberra”. As the Artist says: “DonPepego is music performed on a one square metre surface, where a plump singer/songwriter bends among his guitars (acoustic + electric) and keyboard, mostly late in the evening, which has a significant impact on the sound of the songs”. Enjoy!

“Sulkutila / Väännös (Stupor / Contortion)”

TERR112: Bandcamp are waiving their revenue share for March 20th 2020 to show support for artists afflicted by COVID-19.

Terranean Recordings presents a very special release — two pieces from the first ever Luke Lund live performance. Pay what you like.

“Sulkutila (Stupor)” explores the Casio SA-1 tone bank keyboard, emphasizing on subharmonics and resonance with custom analog reverbs and vintage tape compression.

“Contortion (Väännös)” is a composition made ‘out of nothing.’ Sounds from the harmonics of inaudible sine/square/sawtooth waves — both infra and ultrasonic. These are contorted by algorithmic sliding of pitch shift, time scale and noise reduction parameters.

Premiered at the launch party of SOUNDESTzine, October 3rd 2018, Oranssi, Helsinki.
