about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Miro, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Pandacetamol – A Different Place

Pandacetamol – A Different Place

Pandacetamol

“A Different Place”

Pandacetamol is turning into a regular feature on Kahvi in recent times, this time he’s back with a twelve track album of minimal beats, dark factory atmospheres and a tasting of Autechre influences.

Off key leads, glitchy, shifting direction constantly. Something to chillout to in the summer sun with an ice cold beer or two.

Watch out for Pandacetamol’s retro sound of choice – classic acid.

Hynamo

“Baba Juno EP”

Hynamo is back with an upgraded arsenal that’s set to destroy. This underground Australian has blown us away with Baba Juno, a hard-hitting, all-original 4 track EP. From start to finish it’s an epic journey, taking you on a machine-infested ride to the heart of Zion. It’s cleverly synth-driven, with psychedelic influence, is bound by pounding drums and is eloquently produced with dark techno and progressive house tone colours. Baba Juno EP is a psychedelic techno beast.

Wankers United – Solo Romance

Wankers United – Solo Romance
[dhr-46]

Wankers United

“Solo Romance”

Yamashita Takuya – Renkinjutsu-shi no taitō
[[mi267]]

Yamashita Takuya

“Renkinjutsu-shi no taitō”

Contagious beats and danceable rhythms, so we are welcomed by Yamashita Takuya, the alter ego of the Portuguese Fábio Pinto. The dance floor transposed to our home, to our living room, to our body. An incessant energy, reminiscent of colorful oriental realities!

Electronics and Japan, in one reality! Anime driven Beats!
Over 5 themes, 5 short discharges of sweet and melodic rhythms, of hard beats, 5 aural, punitive amalgams that will drag you across the dance floor, that will embrace you until you fall asleep.

Yasuyuki Uesugi – I'm Not Normal Unless I Can Control Extreme Emotional Changes
[mi268]

Yasuyuki Uesugi

“I’m Not Normal Unless I Can Control Extreme Emotional Changes”

From Sapporo, the japanese noise artist Yasuyuki Uesugi brings us eight tracks of old school noise.

The sounds on this album are repetitive with deep textures and exotic timbres. The drones unfold and unfurl into a huge soundscape giving us the impression to the listeners that we’re on a factory

This album is the view of an artist who dialogues with previous observation and impressive demonstration, dark and abyssal, however the sounds are not abrasive. sometimes mesmerising, sometimes close to harsh noise wall. A must listen!

Shari DeLorian / Alice Bachmann – INESSERE (Live at Avantgardening 2020)
[SR222]

Shari DeLorian / Alice Bachmann

“INESSERE (Live at Avantgardening 2020)”

April 2020.

The multidisciplinary platform Avantgardening commissioned to sound artist Shari DeLorian a music project to be performed at the first online edition of the festival. This become soon an a/v project in collaboration with French video artist Alice Bachmann.

This is the recording of the performance, called INESSERE, which has been performed on 19th April 2020.

Inessere is an audio/visual portrait of a place created by human beings, a place where you can’t and can be at the same time: a paradox of absence and presence. A world on a human scale, but deprived of its humanity; the spacial acoustics as the proof of its absence.

INESSERE

[pn157]

Rosa Angelini

“Hay una conspiracion en la tierra”

“Hay una conspiración en la tierra” (“There is a conspiracy in the land”) statement by activist Angela Davis, enlightens this reflective musical act, standing up for Mother Earth and Human Rights, through latinamerican indigenous women, people, and world activists voices, sounds and resistance. It is a journey and, at the same time, a discourse, moving across acoustic and electronic textures, samples, soundscapes, world music and soundtracks, accompanied by protest performance actions, ritual, chants and dances by Mapuche performer artist and activist Lorenza Aillapán, and Rosa Angelini.

This sound-research-creative work generated an intermedia piece, a multimedia collective mise-en-scene (Ritual), fusing sound-and-music, performance art in socially and politically symbolic public spaces, by a female cast and live music, mingling powerful speeches and songs by global feminist and environmental movements, calling up to defend Mother Earth, Human Rights and aborigin tribes.

This mise-en-scene was premiered in May 2019 at “2do encuentro internacional de trabajadoras de las culturas y las artes” (II International Meeting of Women Culture and Art Workers) opening, at Teatro Solís open area in Montevideo, Uruguay, using Live Cinema techniques and an international cast of 50 performer artists. It has also been staged in Chile, at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts) frontis, Ventana-Quintero sacrificial area, and Plaza de la Dignidad, as an opening rite for International Women’s Day, March 8, 2020.

“Hay una conspiración en la tierra” is 30 minutes long. This version is a sample of the final scene (Mother Earth ritual).

“This is Not My Church”

Following from a surprise return to Vulpiano Records after a 7 year departure with The Awakening earlier in 2020, King Elizabeth is back again in short order with This is Not My Church, traversing a variety of moods and styles through incredible song craft and energy. As always, highlighting a favorite is a challenge, but my vote goes to the sultry grit of “A Mighty Man”.

Nesting Error – Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi
[NN_EP035_06_20]

Nesting Error

“Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi”

A musical breath held and started after many years without a specific motivation. Infused life and breath with full lungs for the debut album dating back to 2007 ignored, kept in the drawer and never released for any label for reasons related to recordings and overall production with then somewhat limited means belonging to the low-fi concept subsequently re-evaluated. Nesting Error are a long-lived and complex duo. Their music close to genres related to digital and analog electronic music of Central European inspiration often takes the listener’s hand to lead him travels through time and history thanks also to the wise and never banal use of samples. In “Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi” a meteorological event of exceptional gravity that happened in their Palermo in 1931 is taken as a pretext when a flood of frightening propositions brought the entire city to its knees far from prepared or accustomed to events of the generally reaping several victims. The biblical term “deluge” expands, amplifies and extremes several more or less global spatio-temporal references which at the time of the release of the album evidently had to represent real psychological “hardships” fully narrated in each piece as world wars; the era of the planetary homeland; unfortunate American and Italian presidencies; the chilling deception of the concentration camp of Theresienstadt in a tragic game of jumps between past and present where human and cultural disintegration remains the only link. A circle that closes just where it started, the Second World War and its famous incomprehensible encrypted and encrypted messages that hid strategic information of a world completely out of control under a flood that leaves no way out in an unfortunate epochal context that is repeated without ever end.

Jan LF Strach

“Implozjo Wizja! EP”

Hopping into subspace, Diving into prememory etc – – My first work after logging out of facebook with teh beginning of this year – as per tradition, scampering heap of sounds played half-asleep within the last few years, drawing from everyt=where and nowhere. We have looped brass bands from Jasna Góra, something borrowed from a cassette bought at a pawn shop, preprogrammed, non-4/4 casio beats with psychedelic guitar solos , birds over the Rusałka lake. Every evening I stand before an impossible choice – to play a bit more, barely standing upright, or to go to sleep at normal time at least once – here is the result of these dilemmas – good night for now -_-
