Following from a surprise return to Vulpiano Records after a 7 year departure with The Awakening earlier in 2020, King Elizabeth is back again in short order with This is Not My Church, traversing a variety of moods and styles through incredible song craft and energy. As always, highlighting a favorite is a challenge, but my vote goes to the sultry grit of “A Mighty Man”.
