about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“Landship”

Albert Borkent is an ambient artist and experimental sound designer from The Netherlands. Albert is always searching for new ways to express emotions and paint aural pictures of mystic, deep, resonating ambiences.
Landship paints a dream landscape somewhere situated in the Gobi Desert, or elsewhere, the different situations experienced there, the cold, the heat, the lost, the found.

Павкашавет бантут

“Сон прошлогоднего снега”

New album of Chita musician and poet Sergei Zolin, aka Pavkashavet Bantut perhaps the most dismal in the discography of the artist. «Сон прошлогоднего снега» – is a 35-minute dive into the darkness of what we call the post-Soviet space. And if “The voices on the stairs of Jacob” may denote something, so it would be the voices on a ladder between earth and hell. Quite notable is the only thing with text support – «Долгое прощание», after which you will feel binding approaching of hopelessnes from all sides.

“Constellation Blackbird”

Gurdonark’s album “Constellation Blackbird” was released on the Motherwell, Scotland, UK netlabel weareallghosts. weareallghosts founder Thomas Mathie describes the album as follows:
“It has dissonant frequencies, naive sounds and glitchy melodies that may not be instantly accessible. However I, for one, enjoy his particular style of minimalist expressionism … I look on it aural ginger that cleanses the palate from a meal of ambient sushi.”.
The album features 10 instrumental tracks licensed BY SA. The album is available on a pay-what-one-wills basis at Bandcamp with .mp3s available for free download at Archive.org and the Free Music Archive.

Wings of an Angel – Our Forgotten Infinity And The Absolute Zero

Wings of an Angel – Our Forgotten Infinity And The Absolute Zero
[Self Release ]

Wings of an Angel

“Our Forgotten Infinity And The Absolute Zero”

Where does this life lead, is a question oft heard and explored by spiritually-inclined individuals, religious groups, old and new age cults, occult organizations and so forth. But, nobody, in the whole course of humanity’s conscious existence on this earth, has been able to bring forth a single-handed evidence. I have lived a substantial amount of years on this earth, to proclaim wholeheartedly that I have gotten tired of it all – that is listening to yet another “i-know-it-all” who will try convince me of his group’s eternal truths. If it was only a personal struggle – I’d call it quits since I am very stubborn and rigidly unconscionable, I quickly and effectively send these people and their groups straight to hell. But, what about the children, innocent children of pure heart and spirit, who are brainwashed into this whole nonsense from day one of their existence?
Every day I see and hear this happening, children brought up into the dark ways of archaic belief systems which encourage NOT freethinking and high-spirited exploration of the world around – but inject the seeds of their hardcore fundamentalist doctrines unto the soft minds of the newly born.
I feel as if with every technological advance, with every generational leap, we move backwards because on one hand there is a lot of progress, but the human psyche cannot adequately handle it all, and thus, people go backwards in masses, lock themselves up in their old ways and rigorous traditions. We are giving up on the potential of our conscious infinity, to the point where it has become forgotten to most people.
Also, on the other hand, there are tons and masses of people who irresponsibly explore the vast potential of the mind by using various psycho-altering substances, from ayahuasca to magic mushrooms. This sounds romantic, but there are 3 critical problems with this, I will try to address these here, and hope that perhaps i’ll shed light on this important topic for the benefit of those whom it may be of help:
a. most chemical substances found out there on the streets are not synthesized at some clinical lab by authorized and qualified scientists, they have no leaflets and may contain the devil knows what… There’s no inspection on these pills and they come as atypical on the black market, often not even stored correctly.
b. all psychedelic drugs are highly powerful substances because they fundamentally (and sometimes even irreversibly) alter the way our brain functions, thus they are very unexpected and are not tailor-made. even those of us who claim to know themselves very well – can never know what exactly to expect. anybody who says differently – is either a fool or a dangerously disillusioned individual.
If it’s so-called “NATURAL” – doesn’t mean we are to use it. The word Natural is not some kind of approval from “MOTHER/FATHER NATURE” to go wild like there’s no tomorrow. There are numerous ways to nurture and nourish one’s mind and spirit via less potentially hazardous methods.
c. last but perhaps for many it should be the first – is the question: why experiment with these substances in the first place? For what purpose? What do you miss in this conscious life that you choose to either escape or put yourself in potential danger?
I know you may say that life is generally dangerous and unexpected and even crossing a street or driving a car is a fatal hazard. This is a typical new-age answer. But it doesn’t address the fundamental question of why consciously put yourself and your psyche, which we know little about and usually have little control of, at a concrete and indubitable danger?
Also, adventurous men (and even more so) women many times tend to fall into the hands of charismatic and highly intelligent psychopaths who promote the use of these substances in order to “connect to their higher self”. These are lies made to quiet and turn off critical thinking… I would recommend watching such films as Hideous Kinky (1998) & Icaros (2014) to get an idea of what i’m referring to. Just please beware and guard yourself and your open-mindedness by turning down such temptations and settling on listening to people who are perhaps less colorful outwardly, but have a sense of mental and intellectual balance and stability, as well as bona fide humility and life experience borne from the deep roots of understanding how fragile this precious life and world are.
I don’t want to sound like an old ranting geezer, so I better stop for now and leave you pondering to the sounds of this new album.

Wings of an Angel

“Meet Some Potential Candidates To Join MGTOW”

What is this infamously renowned cultural phenomena of men going their own way? Why do they go their own way and where to do they go on their own? Is this a dream or a reality of many men? And what about the women? Are they to go their own way as well? Or perhaps their way oft times merges with the way of the men?

This LP doesn’t necessarily answer any of these questions because it also goes astray on its own way upon each renewed listening… But perhaps it will open a door of perception or give out a clue…

I will just add a quick note that is self-evident to me, but oft sounds ridiculous to others (others who have the tendency of taking themselves and their creative output in an unfathomably grave manner): I think that we, as artists or something along those lines, are like clowns or better yet buffoons – in the best sense of these words. In my perception, art cannot exist separately of humor. Usually – the more, the merrier. And I feel that similarly to psychotherapists, we are at best profoundly reflective entertainers in this multilayered Kabuki theater people call human life. Thus, in my eyes, at all costs, even at the price of great personal concessions, we have to strive towards the greatest freedom; that is often times, like life itself by the way, is a heart-key-punch or rather a merciless smack to the index of the mind. Far-away from any kind of dogma – be it religious (atheism incl.) or spiritual, cultural, academic, artistic etc’.

At night,
I escape from Truth in zealous vigor!
Whereas human beings act in the name of Truth,
I surround myself with Divine Lies.

“Birthday”

FOREVER DRONE

A drone that seems to go on forever,
echoing through the void,
never modulating in it’s pitch,
never seeming to change in it’s pace.

Where did this droning sound come from,
this seemingly eternal sound that echoes through the void?
I cannot seem to avoid it’s monotone melody,
as it makes it’s way into my mind.

I cannot comprehend where it came from,
this musicality of never undulating pitch,
but alas,
there is something hypnotic about it,
and I find that now my reaches out for it,
this tone of hypnotic monotony,
a sound that I formerly pushed out of my reach.

Wings of an Angel – Cult Of Personality
[Self Release ]

Wings of an Angel

“Cult Of Personality”

“Cult of Personality by Wings of an Angel is a one-piece ambient/drone album of almost one hour playtime. The track is quenched with majestic, almost monumental sound cascades, taking the listener higher and higher into realms of pure sonic light and glory. Sounds too elevated? Not at all! The whole piece allows you to forget your ego and your daily struggle without plagiarizing the shallow meditation CDs from the home shopping channel.

“What a lovely hour of music this is! This is at the pretty, inspirational, light ambient end of things, which I love just as much as dark ambient. In fact, the towering, misty, angelic synths of this piece recall the classic days of early ambient, artists like Iasos as well as Steve Roach’s nineties soundscapes like Darkest Before Dawn and Slow Heat, and also the current work of artists like Phillip Wilkerson. That is very high praise, believe me. I enjoy this to bits and will be investigating this artist’s work further”.

Various Artists

“Oompa Loopma Riot”

From 1979 to 1983, the Australian Terse Tapes label made cassette compilations. These are in danger of becoming “classics”, a complete betrayal of the energy that made them. There is no better antidote to cloying nostalgia than the corpse getting up and refusing the funeral.

So instead say that from 1979 to 2015, Terse Tapes made compilations, and here is more of the same. You could put it on a cassette if that matters.

I invited a few people I know, and they invited a few people they know, and music started to arrive in my inbox. I refused to listen to any of it until April Fools day. No one curated anything, although some people were nice enough to chase up their friends.

Having heard this music over the last 24 hours I can divide it into some useful ‘sides’, but keep in mind you are able to arrange it however you like in this non-linear wonderland in which we are trapped.

Side A: people who have doubts about music.
Side B: people who do not fear a pretty tune.
Side C: people that make graphs and grids.
Side D: people who could plausibly perform in a public ale house
Side T: time lords

Although supplied for no payment, there are specific rights attached to the recordings, which remain the property of the artists. Do not sell this music for a profit, do not use this music for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to, placement alongside advertisements or behind paywalls.

“Girls Alive”

Just a few days away from the conmemoration and annual women’s celebration for their rights’ equity, from the sky falls the new compilation from Modismo label, entitled “Girls Alive”, which draws together music composers and producers of mystical will who explore, amuse and spruce up with a free-download musical offering. It is, indeed, a spectrum of very well achieved and diverse sonorous pieces.
Loaded with defying finesse and neatness these musicians embalm the air via their wavy machinery. There is wisdom behind this musical trip’s jolliest passages. And life, a lot of life in the fertile sequences of this work which, all through its eclectic extent, masterfully demonstrates how to balance experimentation and gamble with a sublime and deferential treatment to the ear. Maybe it is an ancestral and female secret the power music has to interconnect us. But the more you plunge in “Girls Alive”, the more assured you are that this secret is hidden in good hands.
>From and towards the most lulling and deep unto the most stimulating and intriguing that this new release from the netlabel Modismo delivers us we cannot do anything but smile and be thankful for each one of the female presences around us, chiefly when they decide to unite and give strenght, love and music.

Wings of an Angel – Rest In Peace (A Soundtrack For Irreversible Relaxation)

Wings of an Angel – Rest In Peace (A Soundtrack For Irreversible Relaxation)
Self-Release

Wings of an Angel

“Rest In Peace (A Soundtrack For Irreversible Relaxation)”

Being the hyperly compassionate bloke that I am, I am hereby proud to present my April Fool’s offering: The Ultimate Relaxation CD – “Rest In Peace”! That’s right boys and girls! From now on, You will never need another relaxation CD for your zoning-out/tripping-out exercises :)
This particular LP was borne from the ether by yours truly as an exercise in alternative reality deconstruction. It seems to me that in today’s rather watered-down social environment, everybody’s striving towards some inner peace and balanced harmony, which at certain doses is of course a fine goal, but an exceeded dosage of this state of mind leads in my experience to mental stagnation. We evolve as we struggle, at least that’s what I’ve learned from my life’s journey.
Being an intense person from birth, I’ve known very little of this infamous “relaxed” state of mind, which at times can be a tad overwhelming from foreign eyes’ foresight, but for me it is a wonderfully vivid blessing. I quite dislike simplicity as a rule of thumb, and relaxation in my eyes is mostly a one-dimensional experience. And not experiential however I turn it around. It lacks the experimental edge that sleep has, for instance. Thus, I never experience sleep as a relaxation-driven existential mode. It is ‘something else’, literally. The more people talk about how we, as species, supposedly understand what sleep is – the more I laugh out loud. Nobody understands the profoundly unfathomed meta-realities of what sleep is and what it is not. It is in my perception deeper and much more fathomless than any artificially induced (so-called without a justification in my eyes) psychedelic state of mind (or rather – The Psychedelically Clichéd).
Meditation too, in my wildest opinion, aside from being a pretty useful therapeutic tool for certain individuals and groups, is not the aid I’d happily suggest for the ever-curious artist and keen explorer of the world. The whole idea, in my perception, is to OPEN UP perception and expand the senses (while being in control of the experience in the purely non-psychedelic sense) – not to minimize these to minimum and freeze like a perplexed virgin lama who had dreamed an erotic dream of a Himalayan mermaid while struggling with high maintenance Samadhi.
I certainly do wish that this semi-improvised high-voltage voyage to the ultimately irreversible relaxation realm will be an unforgettable one for each and every one of you – individually and in the most mentally and emotionally intimate way possible.
On we move to an individual infinite space of multidimensional unconscious relaxation!

Gandolfo Ferro

“Eirian”

“Eirian” is a Japanese word which means “Alien” and the title of Gandolfo Ferro’s first release with Sucu Music.
In the best science fiction tradition, the theme of this concept album is alien abductions, something which, we are sure, will interest more than some of you out there. The music is what you might call dark ambient, but there are also sprinklings of ‘old-time’ electronica that widen the sound palette and make this release a very enjoyable trip to the recesses of unknown galaxies and back.
