about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Bleak Fiction

“Homeless Heart”

“Homeless Heart” is the fourth LP of Bleak Fiction. He returned to dark ambient with some ritual / black ambient influences, mainly in his first songs; and with atmospheric passages at ending the album. The main concepts are about loss and solitude, with titles about suicide and death. “Homeless Heart” is the result of lose something in life, and after that moment our hearts feels alone, trying to find a better place to live.

Wings of an Angel – The Year I Tried To Kill My Love

Wings of an Angel

“The Year I Tried To Kill My Love”

sometimes, one is required to be a warrior for so long, that you have trouble putting down your sword.

The year Love almost died inside me,
it was a year fraught with trial and tribulation,
elations of successes waylaid by new responsibilities;
and these new responsibilities,
they almost took the joy away.The year Love almost died inside me,
it almost died in all it’s forms;
Love for my fellow brother,
my fellow sister,
relations both amorous and familial,
as all the joys that were supposed to be inside me were almost detained.

The pain inside me almost surmounted all my senses,
as I lost touch with the capacity to feel Love in it’s greatest fulfillment;
I touched the face of the divine in dreams,
but alas,
this was barely enough to keep my sense of Love sane.

I learnt,
however,
that the pain,
it had a purpose,
had served to purify me of past regrets,
had served to teach me to move forward,
ever onward,
to greater horizons,
and the very scope of those horizons,
they are redefined now,
and though I know that journey will be difficult,
I would rather undertake THAT journey,
to experience the pain of growth,
rather than regret,
and the capacity to love,
it grows inside myself,
especially the capacity to love myself,
and I know,
that in this year,
or any year from this point on,
I could not kill The Love inside myself,
in order to hide from pain;
I could not kill The Love inside myself,
not even if I tried…

Gapfield

“Gapfield Summer”

We are pleased to share with you one more excellent piece of music, which is inspired by warmth and sunny delight. And this time it’s a brand new story.

“Gapfield is Jacob Newman & Devin Underwood. While Jacob and Devin have produced ambient and drone for labels like DataObscura and Carpe Sonum, this is their first release as Gapfield, a dub techno/experimental project. While they both live far away from each other, they find it important to sync up in real time online to share ideas, music, etc to keep our projects flowing with new ideas and energy.”

Welcome the debut release of a very promising duo!

Clayton Alpha

“Korsakoff I”

“Korsakoff I” is an attempt to design sound for four movie sequences. Artist’s goal was to create a specific mood for each track and to keep melodies at a fragmental stage. Each track’s sound is relevant to a certain place that Clayton wishes that the listener can imagine while listening to the music. The main inspiration for this release was the Daniel Meade’s photo which is also the album’s cover.

“~ ̱o̅ p̬ ̔e n ̓e͒ d`͍ ͔̘᷊̙̉̍᷃͢”

TWG turns two today! And to celebrate, sleepytimejesse has offered up a highly emotional, broken ambient release teeming with atmosphere, dread and serenity.

Sounding almost like soundtrack to a giallo film crossed with a haunted tape deck, Goblin via Trent Reznor, sleepytimejesse carves out an 18 minute cascade sounding more like tonal poetry than anything else in the chiptune scene today. This release also does a good job of summarising TWG’s long-held mission statement: esoteric music full of emotion, the experimental and the affective glued together.
It’s hard to describe a piece of work that is as much felt as it is heard, so instead, celebrate our anniversary with us by turning off the lights and the music up: it’s definitely a journey worth taking.

Waves and synergies. And if I think ‘bout dancing seasides and hot nites is ‘cause I can’t switch off from my i-pod the debut of the mysterious Nowhere Fast with her Louder EP produced by Sostanze Records. It’s a full piece of work, enterin’ into the electronic music scene on tiptoe, dominating it very fastly. And so Louder takes shape, a beach cocktail, 1/3 chillwave, 1/3 synthpop and 1/3 dreampop. Focusing on the synth component is a way to deeply meet Nowhere Fast, almost partecipating to the born of Louder. There will be a great talk ‘bout her, and this more than a greeting is a firm belief of the net-label. Her core is the underground, future is in evolution. Whenever I’m down, I call one of my friend.
