Soul Sparkle EP by Caballero (MEX) is an alluring modern take on progressive, psychedelic techno. Interestingly, it lends from dub, dub techno, techno and house while exuding an array of contrasting tone colours such as analog sounds, organic drums and intricate, glitchy textures. Melbourne’s (AUS) Aleckat hits it out of the park with his decadent zenonesque take of the EP title track with on-point use of Caballero’s stems. All in all this EP is truly innovative and oceanic in depth.
