Kristallo is an alternate project by the Argentine artist Pablo Reche, which he defines as his ‘B side.’ With this alias, he explores the sonic possibilities of noise in a field with a stronger presence of rhythm and pulsations, further away from the sound composed of drones. The pieces that make up the EP “Persecución” have a brief format, with a predominant sound of a primitive and rough nature that tends towards pure abstraction.

T1 > Everything begins with a mass of interference and sounds that appear as discoveries in the gaps left in the tuning bands of a radio. These units are waves with changes in their dynamics, which gradually form a constructive process of noise.

T2 > Accents in a hiss grow to form a polyrhythmic block that dissolves into a state close to silence. It’s a structure whose spectrum emerges and lingers.

T3 > In an industrially charged environment, you can feel the pulses and folds as time progresses. Each layer has its own space and communicates with the others as if in conversation. Noise bursts create the grid where everything is organized.

T4 > What remains after a burst is the shape of an echo that extends like a drone. Things become recognizable under a faint layer of sand.

T5 > In the resonant space of a tube, digital rhythmic gestures bounce, moving away from the organic roughness of the previous ones, forming a slow melody. There are openings that mark its development, transitioning from a contemplative tone to a dramatic one.

This set of tracks has the virtue of creating a calm atmosphere in which the subtlest intervals can be perceived.

In many ways, we are all stuck in the matrix. And we are all, echoes, of echoes, like pulsations, along the spine of time, searching for a way out. And we are all echoes, of echoes, like wavelets which propagate through space, in search of a meaning to give to our existence. In the last century, I watched The Matrix under datura, but it had no effect on me. At the dawn of this new millennium my dog was called Neo and a few years later, in 2002, I started my first collective project “Neo Sanguine” by sending 6 CDRs of my samples to 9 composers, in order to study how a single source can be mutated. I could have noticed Neoism, by digging around Fluxus, the Lettrism and the Situationists, but if I remember correctly, I discovered it at that time, at the same time than Plunderphonics and the Sound Outlaws. The songs from the Multiple Personality 3 album that I was developing were frankly transgressive compared to the group’s other songs. I used an acceleration technique which gave them a sound close to that of Neu!, a technique that I had also used for the first two pieces of Neo Sanguine, so I chose to title this album “Neoism”. Especially because I read that Monty Cantsin had said that anyone could use neoism and become Monty Cantsin too and that also echoed the presentation of my solo project CorteX, saying that anyone can call themselves by this name, especially if they keep the spirit of it. And the icing on the cake was that it was completely in line with the ideas promulgated by the obscure C Reaction license, which I had set up in reaction of Creative Commons licenses, even if since then, out of concern to moderate my radicalism, I have abandoned it a little.

A chain of echoes, each echo leaves an imprint in the past as well as in the future… Each time I find an interesting but little-known source I try to integrate it into my creations, to allow others to discover it, to connect to it.

Like many, I am against any “ism”. However, like many, I don’t have just one side. From versatile to subversive, there is only one step that I take with joy. This means that I know that even if we can refuse “isms”, we cannot avoid their creation… Unless we eliminate fanatics of all kinds, through education for example. Moreover, all underground cultures know that they constitute a step towards the new normal: academicism. Like many people, I have a holy horror of labels, so why say it? Long live neoism ! I’m Monty Cantsin through and through. Because unlike those who exclude because of fear of the unknown, I knowingly refuse labels. And this labeling of neoist teaches oneself a lot about “isms”… Experience it and you will understand. In any case, if I analyze myself, even hiding under the mask of a dangerous errorist, I could hardly deny being terribly neoist. Having spent my entire life trying to bring out of the collective unconscious fruits never heard of on earth. Likewise, years ago, at my scale, I was on the roof of the people’s house in Saint-Nazaire, playing a concert without any audience with a friend, to say goodbye to the building which housed all the associations before being destroyed to be replaced by a shopping center. By a mayor who wanted to leave a mark on the spirit of his time… Neoism is to be yourself, while never being the same, to remain a singularity in a system just good at cloning ad æternam the worst of humanity.

The disruption of Artificial Intelligence pushes us to seek the meaning of creation. The intention seems laudable, but it’s hilarious* when we see that at the beginning of October 2023 a collective is calling to refuse any use of A.I. in literature, cinema or video games, while A.I. Adobe Firefly has just been integrated into Photoshop this summer. The lyrics of this album therefore come from the “Book of Neoism” by Istvan Kantor (2018) and were performed by him at the Mersz Club accompanied on the violin by Parnitzky Ede, during the Putsch performance, on October 23, 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. I mutated the original session a bit and created some tracks in between.

‘virgin-ghost’ is my interpretation of an ancient korean legend and figure: ‘cheonyeo-gwishin’ the ghost of a virgin girl who died before getting married and therefore seeking vengeance – and a husband or lover amongst the living!

‘Arang, the daughter of a provincal governor, was killed by the man who tried to rape her and her body buried by the sea (where a shrine till today is attended in her memory). after her father left the province, each of his successors was killed by Arang’s revengeful virgin-ghost – till finally an intrepid young governor detected the crime, punished her murderer and exercised the ritual of ‘soul-wedding’ (yeonghongyeolhonsig) to placate her spirit and achieve peace after building arangak-shrine…’

Alternatives, autonomy and love, this is all about it.

The internet spirit was first this and not that control freaks product where everything is censored. That’s why you can get the english version on bandcamp and here the version with french lyrics on the Necrophile Hummingbird archive. In any case for both there is only the track “In Phase with Intention” which is with different lyrics. Also I think that spending more than two years to write down the illumination’s synthesis instead to just let the instrumental version tells a lot about what matter between the music and the message. And what message ? Is it really something to take as it as information or more something to think about. How on earth is it possible that such accident happen ?
From the first step, thinking that it was a very long track so being able to host a quite long spoken word speech. What a quirky idea to add a full operating system to a song ? And next being stuck with a so hugge task to check and fix these lyrics, and finally after recording them, it needed to double the track lengh to be able to host them. I mean do you think anybody not insane would have done it ?
I don’t think so. In any case now you can listen in french or read it in english. I’ve done a fast trad (that you can find at the very end of the presentation) and I may improve it at some point… but do I need to say that I’m not sure that anybody should care about this ?
As I always say it’s better to build each your own solution, and there will be far more chances that several of them help to fix the global earth shity situation.

Because I’m not the first one, I’m just one of the insane humans on a very long chain thru time, space and dimensions.

Last I think this album is linked with films like Ordaly Found Footage, The Hands Revolution, Pikadon, The world is over! and Necktar 2017… And with this last one it may be more easy to guess clearly the meaning behind. At least for the french natives because they can read all my writings in the akashic record on yoshiwaku’s bandcamp profile…

Here the artist again asserts his unique craftsmanship in balancing and naturally blending low-fi and high-tech sounds, acoustic sources and digital synthesis in another powerful, immersive work. “Vertical Moon Phase Charm” notably includes quite the strong and special list of collaborators: A Limb, Stanley Christiaensen, Konejo, Innocent But Guilty and Paradise Now.

Lynn Nandar Htoo’s EP explores minimalistic tones overlapping syncopated Myanmar traditional percussions that creates a hypnotic effect – slowly transitioning into dronelike territory synchronized by subtle noises & glitches. Fascinated with traditional tunings and compositions that resembles her Myanmar cultural traditions, Lynn Nandar Htoo integrates the rhythmic essence of Nat Pwel, a ritual that is led by a queer character into haunting ambience depicting the alienation that many has felt since the condemned political event. Jamadevi is an enigmatic piece of electronic music work that yearns to form dialogues of displacement between sound & the effects of politics through her intricate compositions.

Lynn Nandar Htoo is a sound designer, composer & music producer based in Yangon, Myanmar accomplished in both the realm of filmmaking & electronic music. She explores Southeast Asian tuning systems and scales through modern music technologies and was chosen to be part of South East Asia’s music research development by Nusasonic & »Listening to the World – 100 Years of Radio«, an initiative of Goethe Institute.

‘Hikikomori’ es un término japonés que describe a una persona que se retira de la sociedad y se aísla socialmente por largos períodos de tiempo, generalmente en su propio hogar. Los ‘hikikomori’ evitan cualquier interacción social significativa, limitándose a su habitación o a espacios cerrados, y se desconectan de las responsabilidades y actividades normales de la vida cotidiana. Este fenómeno se caracteriza por una profunda sensación de alienación y dificultad para relacionarse con los demás. Es importante destacar que el término ‘hikikomori’ no tiene una definición clínica oficial y puede variar en su interpretación. Algunos consideran que se trata de un síndrome o trastorno, mientras que otros lo ven como una respuesta cultural a la presión social y a las altas expectativas académicas y laborales en la sociedad.

La lucha social está siendo sustituida por una lucha interior individual que en gran medida evita que consigamos soluciones a problemas comunes. From the perspective of melancholic electronica, this album aims to channel social isolation in a hyperconnected world and transform that discomfort into something aesthetic and regenerative while gathering energy to come together for the common good. “Hikikomori” is an electronic music album that blends listening and dance, filled with rhythms, textures, and elements that span across genres. Cada obra supone en mi caso una pregunta previa que justifique tamaño esfuerzo. Las razones y la creencia ciega de que esas razones son certeras sostienen acaso por un periodo breve la potencia inconmensurable del hacer. Durante mucho tiempo me esforcé como artista en enfocarme solo en el hacer como un ejercicio continuo de sostenimiento de la vida. Floreas unn fauneth es un resultado de ese convencimiento. Una suma de pequeñas obras creadas en diferentes momentos y sin una cronología o diseño previo que explique porque están ordenadas de la manera en que están. El gusto personal estratégicamente corrido de foco deja a la intuición hacer lo que mejor sabe hacer que es tomar decisiones impulsadas por lo inconsciente con algo de experiencia previa.
Obras pequeñas cargadas de recorridos experimentales que en la escucha encuentran una relación forzada con la naturaleza y los movimientos pequeños, sencillos, repetitivos y no cuantizados.
Hacia el final del corrido del viaje solitario que supone la experimentación, en mi caso sentado frente a un computador, perdido, confundido, abrumado y aburrido se encuentra la absurda idea de que quizás este pueda ser el final. Luego aparece la reacción más humana y abrazada a la respiración que inyecta porvenir y me recuerda que ya no hago lo que hago buscando algún tipo de aprobación de alguien que ya no sirve que lo haga. Estoy yo y eso basta. La naturaleza también está ahí, dándome un entorno para respirar, caminar, observar, habitar y eso también basta.

“Desert Music for Desert Lovers”

The story of this record begins with its end, the day I was looking at photos of the triops and fairy shrimps that had hatched at Burning Man in Black Rock Desert, while I was listening to the Electronic Quicksands tracks that my long time collaborator Ethnomite Pux sent me in July 2023. After I did it, I remembered that Psy Shepherd sent me a track to collaborate after Nahel death in July too. So I had no other choice than to manage my time and take a few days to create my part of this split album. Also Psy Shepherd was a very close friend to the one for who we previously did a tribute linked with the last collaboration between Ethnomite Pux and me under another moniker. https://archive.org/details/parrhesia_sound_system_vs_ethnomite_pux_another_beast-feast

So this album seems mostly about how discomfort in music could be enjoyable, same way lead can be turned in gold. The way you look at everything changes everything. A french noiser a few weeks ago posted on a network that perhaps his music was junk, but it’s ok, he can deal with it. If you love it fine, if not he will not force you to listen. So as the AI disruption overturned the chessboard, It pushes us to find what ‘s make the difference between human music and AI music. Where is our humanity ?
As audience when You listen such works like this album, could You imagine for example that I can do the sing of the nomad robot blues and at the same time have no room to play it at home or only when I’m alone. Because my heart family think my music is junk. I deal with this hostile environment because it’s my choice. Life matter more than art, although art sustain my life. And I may not be wrong when I think that it’s the reality for most of the noisers.
I think noise is precisely this resilience. To refuse to follow the mainstream. To refuse the seduction lie, when it’s more about to negate yourself to fit with the norm. This resilience of humanity against all forms of control’s got a side effect called Solidarity. The more you suffer, the more you want to avoid this to the others. Solidarity is a huge fuck to any dominant system.
So what ? Each album is an act of resistance, like sending codes by radio wave during the WWII from london to each isolated sound creator. Keep your freedom, grow up your vegetable garden, you are not alone.

Where is our humanity ? It’s also the question we could ask if we were cops, but happily we are not. Of course In Memory Of Sahel is a variation, indeed a track done in memory of Nahel a 17 years racialized teenager killed by a cop in france in July 2023.

A thing about the form is that the tracks are shorter than my usual improvisations, being cut out in smaller parts, more set to electro ethnic trance and hard techno industrial styles. More than to provide comfort to the listener this is a way to build a serial music structure. Going back to a track, so close to another that your brain think it’s the same, but in reality it is modulated, it’s a variation, something about the nature of reality flux, this coil which come from well known fractal spiral structure…

Also if anyone is curious about were did come from the triops minimal rhythms, they are improvised with an electric frequencies generator.

Because whatever the distance the desert ears can hear. This album is dedicated to all the victims of the earthquake in Morocco & the floods in Lybia and all people dying because of global warming too.
