After 30 x 12 (for C. Reider) by Daniel Barbiero is a gestural composition for double bass and optional electronics. Individual gestures were drawn from a closed vocabulary of actions to be taken in relation to the sound material, and then organized as discrete events. These events were then arranged sequentially into long-period phrases separated by non-actions. C. Reider contributed a layer of electronics based on a reduction of a live performance using the double bass sounds as a filter. http://danielbarbiero.wordpress.com http://www.vuzhmusic.com/artists/reider.html
We are pleased to share with you one more excellent piece of music, which is inspired by warmth and sunny delight. And this time it’s a brand new story.
“Gapfield is Jacob Newman & Devin Underwood. While Jacob and Devin have produced ambient and drone for labels like DataObscura and Carpe Sonum, this is their first release as Gapfield, a dub techno/experimental project. While they both live far away from each other, they find it important to sync up in real time online to share ideas, music, etc to keep our projects flowing with new ideas and energy.”
Welcome the debut release of a very promising duo!
This work intends to grab the listener for a simple challenge that (s)he will be able to carry out from any exposed sound point; getting the listener to develop a superconsciousness hearing (awareness) that will lead her/him to emigrate out of time/space, using as a means to this end the multiplicity of hearing expressed forms. The more we let ourselves be absorbed by them the quicker we’ll apprehend the flow and reflow of the existing sound waves, as well as their intrinsic unity in the conscious whole, this is called Boiar, (Boiar is not “to Float”; Boiar is much more than simply floating). Noble art nearly forgotten today and rarely practiced.

We found glitch ambient Norwegian project Seazo by hearing his work on a demo by Cocoon. Loved the track, got in touch, and he was happy to send us this amazing new album titled “A Tribute To Cosmos” for release through Enough Records. Cover artwork is courtesy of Andreas S.
After the huge success of their first release “Dub ina Midlands” (awarded 4 stars by CCTRAX and included in dub.com’s Dubcast series) and their guest appearence on the EP of Red Star Martys “Time for Tea”, Koncrete Roots is back with more vibes.
Celebrating the first birthday of our netlabel, we are giving to everybody the free EP “Rudie Dubplates” with 5 tracks of wall-shaking basslines, irie sax and warrior style beats. This is our way to say “thank you for your massive support during this 1st year of our existence”. Ruff and tuff!
The EP includes five unreleased Koncrete Roots dubplates, which will definitely bring you to higher heights and have your room walls pounding with sub-bass and vibes. Nuff respect to the Rootsman for the irie sax on “Sax di fisherman”. Giving thanks each and every time!
Released: July 2014
After the big success of Alic’s “Close Distance” album, Trilingo and Pallida picked the track “Sliders” from it. They sorted out the most important fragments and assembled in a cool way outstanding remixes. One is more on the psychedelic edge and one is more minimal. What now comes to your ears.. Just look yourself!
Not enough of that, this EP also includes the track “Esperanto”, formerly released on the CD-version of “Close Distance” only!
Gate One is the first musical offering by Francesco Palermo, aka TNKS, and everybody here at Sucu Music is very proud of and happy for releasing such a beautiful work as this.
The nightly, highly metropolitan, electronic nature of this music meets the manipulations and visions by Purple Mountain Peal’s Gaetano Fontanazza and Tony Colina, whose intervention gives the music further colours and depth.
“Korsakoff I” is an attempt to design sound for four movie sequences. Artist’s goal was to create a specific mood for each track and to keep melodies at a fragmental stage. Each track’s sound is relevant to a certain place that Clayton wishes that the listener can imagine while listening to the music. The main inspiration for this release was the Daniel Meade’s photo which is also the album’s cover.

“No Human nos presenta sus más tensos pensamientos. Razonamiento industrial, mecánica techno a merced de seres sintéticos. Ruido y dolor como solo ellos lo entienden. Comunicación a 8 bits, duros ritmos maquinales, kaos en la factoría.
Disfruta de la reconversión industrial, deja de ser humano!”
V.A. – String Factory (GERGAZ)
Some months ago a few of the finest young producers from Czech Republic and Slovakia had a wonderful chance to meet together and work on some music. That happened thanks to Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp in Bratislava. Filled with joy and delight part of them decided to meet up again and undertake this creative outburst once again. So thanks to Atelier Bavlna and Red Bull, Fallgrapp, FVLCRVM, Jimmy Pé and Stroon gathered together again on the premises of the String Factory. The guys were joined by two up-and-coming lady producers and vocalists Tante Elze and Nika Mi.
The outcome is a 6 track compilation offering insight into what a co-op of Slovak producers sounds like, released now on GERGAZ Label. The set is rich in terms of tempo, atmosphere, influence and styles and it’s kicked off with an all-in-one banger “Doesn’t Matter” by FVLCRVM and Jimmy Pé. Next up is a lyrical and fantasy-like “Baby Boy” by trio Fallgrapp, Stroon and Tante Elze. FVLCRVM comes up with a vocal percussive sound trip “Pink”. The beat gets straighter as Fallgrapp and Stroon brought some tech/trance approach to retro synths called “X-Type”. Cinematic wobbly half-tempo “Hit Me” by Jimmy and Fallgrapp comes one before last and the compilation concludes with soulful and slow “Daydreams” by long-term cooperators Jimmy Pé and Tante Elze.
Jozef Nemček shows us his “new space” full of good feelings, intense emotions and nice compositions to give a superb e.p as proof of his talent. Very good e.p of this artist who appreciate your cooperation.

TWG turns two today! And to celebrate, sleepytimejesse has offered up a highly emotional, broken ambient release teeming with atmosphere, dread and serenity.
Sounding almost like soundtrack to a giallo film crossed with a haunted tape deck, Goblin via Trent Reznor, sleepytimejesse carves out an 18 minute cascade sounding more like tonal poetry than anything else in the chiptune scene today. This release also does a good job of summarising TWG’s long-held mission statement: esoteric music full of emotion, the experimental and the affective glued together.
It’s hard to describe a piece of work that is as much felt as it is heard, so instead, celebrate our anniversary with us by turning off the lights and the music up: it’s definitely a journey worth taking.
Jonas Kocher: accordion
Gaudenz Badrutt: electronics
Having collaborated for many years now, Badrutt and Kocher play improvised music. Through this practice they explore the relation between the very electronic sounds of the accordion and the instrumental potential of the electronics.
There is no electronic processing of the accordion, more the opposite: the acoustic sounds tend to influence the machine, creating accidents and random behavior of the electronics.
Badrutt and Kocher also take care of the acoustic specificities of the spaces where they play, taking it as a fundamental element of the performance. Through this subtle tuning between the playing and the space, every sound performance becomes site specific.
The concert at Rex was the last of a small tour in the Balkan region. Hours of travelling around on bad roads with old albanian taxis and public buses, fastidious border crossings and concerts in very different venues: a quiet basement in Athens, an old industrial building in a no man’s land area in Tirana, a very small bar in the middle of a fancy bars area in Skopje and the beautiful old cinema REX in Belgrade.
Our music evolved quite a lot during the tour, the context as well as all the people we met and the places we stayed, having definitely an influence on our playing. This recording aims to document our practice in a specific context at a specific time. No concept before playing, no edits or re-composing after. It is just what it is, improvised music.
