about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

ONHELL – Linden EP

ONHELL – Linden EP
[STYLSS054]

ONHELL

“Linden EP”

Oakland based producer Angel Rubio-Hale aka ONHELL returns with his latest effort Linden. Composed over the course of the past two years, these four tracks capture the essence of his experiences living and making music in Oakland.
The unifying theme on the release is about enjoying life and each track is ultimately inspired by making the most of being alive by exploring the different facets of our existence. A prime example is the track “HIV+” created while contemplating his mortality upon receiving a false positive result from an HIV test. Linden successfully conjoins where ONHELL has been musically while also providing a glimpse of where he’s going. It’s this merging of his past with his future right here in the present that makes listening to this EP so exhilarating.

Various – Autómatas Sonoros

Various – Autómatas Sonoros

Various

“Autómatas Sonoros”

The content of this work is a response to what I consider to be one of the main myths about music, in the context of my (and the rest of the composers in this compilation) current hometown.
This Idea primarily circulates around the people, projects, groups and etc. that best adhere to a popular music paradigm.

The romantic idea I’m referring to is the existence of an actual performer (in the more traditional sense performer – instrument) for the music itself to have value.

To which we respond with this tracks.

Autómatas Sonoros was first and foremost an acousmatic music concert presented at the Adolfo Prieto school in Monterrey Mexico on September 2 2017.
The concert was part of a series of retribution events organized by Raúl Guerra Jimenez as a winner for the 2015 PECDA Jovenes Creadores prize.

“Goodnight Graffiti Soundtrack”

Thematic return to the past. These are the words which characterize the fortieth release of the publishing house. It is a reference to a younger “sibling” ArtAttack in a form of a graffiti document depicting “train bombing” in different parts of world (Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Austria and Great Britain). It is also a compilation of songs created especially for particular events connecting multiple producers.
