about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.

[brhnet45]

Lingua Lustra

“Slow Time”

“Slow Time” grew out of some slow arpeggiating tracks, of which one remained, I looked at some unreleased tracks, tracks that I couldn’t place yet and all came together in a picture as one. Experimenting with classical influences, as I do more often, mixing it with psychedelic and drone elements. The result I think exists in its own bubble, I hope it gives the listener a different sense of time. -Lingua Lustra

Dallas Simpson

“Skegness Lagoon Walk / Gibraltar Point – Improvisations”

Field recordings and improvisations recorded at Skegness on the East coast of England.

1. Skegness Lagoon Walk: Wind, Seascape and Improvisation
On August 2nd 2016, at around 6:10pm, while on holiday in Skegness, a live location performance soundwork was created at the Lagoon Walk location.

2. Gibraltar Point: Wind, Seascape and Improvisation
On August 4th 2016 a live location performance was created on the shoreline at Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve at about 9:30am featuring a short walk from the vegetated dune area by the beach to the tidal edge and back to the edge of the dunes.

3. Gibraltar Point Car Park Windscape (vignette)
Recorded in our car on the 4th August 2016 in the Gibraltar Point Visitor’s Car Park shortly before our return home to Nottingham. I discovered by accident that when the driver’s side car door was just ajar a strong wind noise was heard. It was ‘blowing a gale’ at the time. As I had my full binaural recording rig at hand it was too good an opportunity to miss!

Dallas Simpson is an environmental sound artist and has been recording and performing live on location since the mid 1990s. Recordings are exclusively in the binaural format for headphone listening recorded using in-ear custom modified DPA4060 microphones. He engages with locations observing soundscapes and performs live using found objects and surfaces.

various artists

“happy in novi sad”

it’s time for a little bit of serbia! being long overdue, finally we present to you another chapter of unfoundsound’s “location series” — which features compilations of artists based in one city. first, we did buenos aires, then marseille, then melbourne, and then philadelphia. this time around, it’s novi sad (serbia’s second largest city). unfoundsound’s cofounder sean o’neal (a.k.a. someone else) continues to travel often and move around. after he himself has been living for a couple of years in novi sad, he realized it was time to put together a compilation of some of the finest electronic music artists in the city. very soon after he relocated to novi sad, sean quickly discovered that the city has an intelligent and thriving underground electronic music scene. so maybe it’s time to help put this city on the map. on happy in novi sad, you get a whopping 15 tracks ranging from minimal techno to deep tech-house to ambient to glitchy experimental, and there’s even a touch of loopy indie rock thrown in for good measure. the novi sad-based artists on this compilation include dako loop orchestra, fall apart (featuring the voice of radoje cupic), otto von disko, klaus pp, sloxxx, yoma, nebes, mthaza, daniel fritz, noise destruction (featuring dj z and dj fakir), daniel alexandar and mika technika. so, be happy…in novi sad!

[M016]

Alisú

“Nave Afrodita”

Azoora – A Thousand Ways EP

Azoora – A Thousand Ways EP
[077]

Azoora

” A Thousand Ways EP”

The grandfathers of ’23 Seconds Netlabel’ are back with a long-awaited and absolutely astounding EP. “A Thousand Ways EP” is our eight release by the mighty Azoora from London.

For years the band has been creating music on its own terms, which has resulted in a unique and very personal sound, often combining a lot of different genres like indie, post-rock, singer songwriter, trip-hop and a dose of experimental ideas.
Azoora consists today of singer and songwriter Paul Loader, producer, composer and multi instrumentalist John Purcell, drummer Ben Cochrane, and backing vocalist Trudi Lawrence. It was more than two years ago since the full band released something together and the result surpasses all expectations, comparable to the band’s best work. Perhaps the atmosphere is a little bit darker today and the music not so experimental, but the core of the music is the same as before, and the concept where the EP contains two alternative takes of each of their tracks.

So sit down, make yourself comfortable, listen, and be carried away by our flagship and most important artist: Azoora!
