about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Drunkeninstrumentcorporation – Always The Same 10 Fucking Songs

[IYE20]

Drunkeninstrumentcorporation

“Always The Same 10 Fucking Songs”

Drunkeninstrumentcorporation was born in Saluzzo in 1998, in the deep Cuneo province, to make sense of boredom, the first engine of provincial life. And to run away from boredom, Marco Abba aka Drunkeninstrumentcorporation invented several worlds, and these are just ten beautiful photos that give us through so many genres, from powerpop to the more classic pop, from rock college to lo fi, but it’s really limiting to talk about genres, because here is the joy of making music and the freshness you’ve heard in some disks and you have not found it again. A true provincial masterpiece

Negritage – Greetings from planet Dub

[DPH031]

Negritage

“Greetings from planet Dub”

Four years ago, back in 2013, the Argentinian dubbers Negritage made their first appearance on the label with Guetto Roots of Dub Vol. 1, an album recorded in “Cuca Roots” and in “El Fuerte Dub Foundation” studios, exploring the Jamaican roots and culture dub tradition. Their analogue style and their authentic sound was greatly appreciated by the listeners and the album remains until today the most downloaded release ever made by Dubophonic, with more than 25.000 downloads and still rising.

Fast forward today and the long awaited Vol. 2 is finally out. “Greetings from Planet Dub” stays true to the same roots and culture background with 6 vocal tracks and 11 dubs. Nevertheless new elements are incorporated in their style, in which eastern melodies blend into the Jamaican vibes and the melodica meets the mandolin and the lyre like in a musical playground, were the singers and players of instruments playfully communicate through their music.

Big up all the artists from all four corners of the world, who collaborated with Negritage and made this release possible: the original roots defender dub activist Jam York (USA), the mighty Sammy Gold (UK), the wise Ibel Campbell (JAM) delivering solid and conscious messages, the dub poet and writer Haji Mike (CY), the studio wizard and dub creator Med Dred (CY), sister Yuuri Bamboo (JPN) blazing those melodica vibes, Christina Polycarpou (CY) doing her magic on the lyre, the humble Mandlion (ITA), flute master Eter Dub (ARG) and the lyrical messenger Zion Irie (FR). All tracks mixed by Negritage in Argentina and mastered by Med Dred in Cyprus. Cover artwork by Negritage. Distributed by Dubophonic for free download.

Hypercube – Genetic Transplant

[EEM022]

Hypercube

“Genetic Transplant”

Genetic Transplant album by Hypercube can be described as an inner journey into osmotic abstract ambient defining the space over post-humanity evaporated circuits and multi dimensional genetic modified patterns, a way to explore unpredictable forms and intramural visions in relation to life and extinct systems.

The resulting music does at times resemble anxious rhythms and complex configurations of tranquillized expressions.

Artem Bemba – Cinealarm

[SCL193]

Artem Bemba

“Cinealarm”

Cinealarm – is like you’re sitting at work and suddenly the sirens begin to roar everywhere and on the radio, oldfashion soviet-radio style voice is heard: “Attention! Attention! Cinealarm!”. Then people start panic, although they do not know what to do and it’s unclear where the movie approaches to them. It is not an expensive Hollywood movie. It’s not even the cheap horror of the 80’s. It’s more like some unpopular surrealistic films of not very well-known directors or a collection of short films by these directors.

Various Artists

“Monophobe presents Beat Garden Compilation 6”

Monophobe has brought together an eclectic bunch of artists, both young and established, reflecting his inspiration as well as his taste in future bass music. The producers delivered a wide palette of sounds. Expect bangers that could do well in clubs at peak times, tracks ideal for later hours when the party’s calming down, and tracks that could perfectly soundtrack a late afternoon.

Graphic Antics – What Does It Mean?

[BSOG0064]

Graphic Antics

“What Does It Mean?”

In 2016 Ant The Symbol combined forces with fellow Richmond, VA (now Portland, Maine based) artist Graphic Melee to record and release an album. With Ant in control on the beats and Melee rockin’ the mic… Graphic Antics was born. Their first album Uh Oh… provided them with a strong base to build from… one which they would use to full effect this year.

Today we have the pleasure of releasing their sophomore album What Does It Mean? that blasts off from the first album’s base, finding Melee and Ant hitting their stride as a creative team, delivering something special to their fans and new listeners. With Ant’s dense textures and complex rhythms along with Melee’s strong delivery and lyrical content… there’s a lot here for heads to dig.

Many thanks to Graphic Melee and Ant The Symbol for delivering the best GA album yet as your first for the bloc! Melee… welcome to the blocSonic fam!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

TNKS – Nostalgic Happiness

[SCM-1701]

TNKS

“Nostalgic Happiness”

Three years after their debut album (‘Gate One’, released by Sucu Music as SCM-1405), TNKS come back with their second effort, ‘Nostalgic Happiness’. The music on offer here is a very good blend of electronics and melody, with a lot of space provided by soundscaping guitars and sequenced synthesizers.
Not a frontal attack to the listener’s synapses, but a tentacle-like embrace of their aural dimensions and souls.

La Bella Violencia & Mika Martini. – La Mirada del Sonido

[pn120]

La Bella Violencia & Mika Martini.

“La Mirada del Sonido”

From the Great Beyond. Brief summary from the exploration log of “La Mirada del Sonido” (The view of sound).

“We might expect that in the convergence of the works of Mika Martini and Iñaki Muñoz, one would encounter realizations that contain the most essential of the experimental music and visuality from this territory. From the auditory, Martini integrates sound clusters inspired by the electroacoustic ancestors of this generation, and from the visual, the glazes in motion of La Bella Violencia evoke the chromatic layers of Roberto Matta, adding without doubt, the chaotic force of chance and error.

Martini and Muñoz have experimented with the transit between materializations analogous and numerical, tangible and intangible. The work is configured as a portal. In ‘La Mirada del Sonido’ images and sounds are integrated, relieving a friendly narrative tension, it could be the soundtrack of an initiatory trip towards the center of our brain, where the neuronal transmissions seem to be granted an aesthetic through this work, chemically activating the DMT that exists in our systems.

These materializations, which function as neuronal chemical releasers, deliver a sensorial experience that determines a respectful concentration, where music and images are integrated into an organic volume that is perhaps unrepeatable, inconsistent, based on the unique experience of turning seeing and hearing into a total virtuality.”

WENIG DUO – Studies on event-density

WENIG DUO

“Studies on event-density”

WENIG DUO | Studies on event-density
LIVE AT PENINHA

“Wenig Duo focuses on the activity of silence where the space works as an amplifier and assumes an important role in the performance.
With a crystallized language, the music of the duo is attentive to detail, it’s written and invites the listener for a greater awareness of the sound where this duo, formed by the musicians Guilherme Rodrigues and André Hencleeday operate.
The instrumentation is variable.”

“O duo WENIG foca-se na actividade do silêncio numa performance e no resultado deste enquanto amplificador do espaço.
A música do duo, já com uma linguagem cristalizada, é uma música atenta ao detalhe, de suporte escrito e que convida o ouvinte para um retiro de maior consciencialização do som do espaço, da música e dos seus envolventes.
É formado pelos músicos Guilherme Rodrigues e André Hencleeday e é de instrumentação variável.”
