about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Maja Delak, Luka Prinčič – Transmittance#1.5

Maja Delak, Luka Prinčič

“Transmittance#1.5”

“Transmittance #1.5” is an edited sonic document of a live situation – a broadcast of an audio-visual telematic performance in the summer of 2011. The positions of earth satellites published by NORAD were used in real-time to shape the sound textures and the input from a remote audience was used to structure the chapters of the sonic story.

See Pereria – Adventures

[SE075]

See Pereria

“Adventures”

This new EP from See Pereria builds on previous releases and continues to play and experiment with a process led approach to making experimental electronica.

Preset loops are used as set parameters with the addition of vocals as a further instrument. These limits and boundaries allow for See Pereria to really experiment with the software to create new sounds. Each track in the song is manipulated and sculpted by being layered, cut up and/or looped. Songs are made with heavy emphasis on synths, beats, repetition and harmonies.

Track listing:
Futura – 4.39
Electron – 3.47
Mountains – 4.41

Realm – Empyrean

[374]

Realm

“Empyrean”

Ambience. That’s the name of the game with this months release from Kahvi ambient meister ‘Realm’. Short in track number but long in playing time, Empyrean is another example of long evolving textures and epic depth similar to Realms previous release at #360 last year.

Not sounding unlike Curious Inversions with his subtle mentions of Tangerine Dream and Solar Fields, Realm takes it to another level with subtle and gentle peaks and troughs.

Self loops and voices is a favourite for me with it’s retro feel and nudges towards Tangerine Dream, and Vorpal Sword is more aimed at squaring off alongside Curious Inversions territory. Cover artwork is by guest artist Jukka Hautamaki, who is well known for mixing art with electronic audio. This work is entitled ‘Empyrean’ fittingly. http://www.galleriahuuto.net/?p=10044&lang=en

Piod – Stage One – 2013-2014

[phokes120]

Piod

“Stage One – 2013-2014”

Nano drone funk formation.
Slave to the rhythm.
Soundlab evolution.

Piod is one of the newer music projects of phonocake co-founder Knut Kaulke who accompanied us from the very first beginning. While his latest stuff is heavily influenced from new production settings with the Kyma system his first tracks under the Piod moniker are diversely looking for direction. Nonetheless it is genuine electronic music, kind of wild and alive.

“Sydney ep”

As I’m about to depart for a few months of backpacking (to work on white blazes 2) I decided it was only appropriate to start things off with a clean slate. So I’ve organized the few random tracks I’ve got floating around in unreleased states into the ep you have before you. A smattering of downtempo and more upbeat electronics for your listening pleasures. Dedicated to my little friend and constant companion Sydney the cockatoo who’s handsome face graces the cover

Linden Pomeroy – Ikiryō

[PE07]

Linden Pomeroy

“Ikiryō”

Linden Pomeroy doesn’t use delay and reverb to generate a sense of space, but to smother it. By sending each guitar note through funnels of infinite repeat, opening track “Festival Of Red Leaves” grows tendrils of harmony and compounded feedback, which press together until the initial melodious sentiment is squeezed out entirely.

The second track swaps the singularity of the first track with a sequence of melodic chambers, each housing the guitar within a different atmospheric casing. Those infinite delays are shortened into extended comet trails, dripping out the back of contemplative guitar refrains as they soar over field recordings of cicadas at night, or dwell within absolute silence, or press and clip against the walls of stereo volume confinement, or detonate within excessive amplifier distortion.

Lefterna – Furthermore

[SCM-1609]

Lefterna

“Furthermore”

Furthermore is a medium lenght concept EP in which Lefterna offers a range of static, slowly changing moods through five ambient/drones and noise sketches. Quoting a famous phrase by Brian Eno about ambient music, Lefterna’s five tracks simply happen. They don’t develop. You won’t find an intro, a fade in, a theme, an outro. Everything the artist wants to tell us unfold in its entirety to our ears as soon as you press play. We wanted to see what happened providing you a 6th bonus track where all the playlist is played and mixed continously. This alternative listening approach will lead you to an interesting journey in which you will experience how five static soundscapes mutate into one another, landing in a final destination you won’t expect how far from the starting point is.

Ant The Symbol – You Are Here: Downtown

[BSMX0141]

Ant The Symbol

“You Are Here: Downtown”

Back at the end of August, Ant The Symbol sent me a few new songs to check out. I downloaded them and listened… like, whoa! I instantly felt that the seven songs I was listening to were the most inspired that he’d created thus far, as The Symbol. Of course I had to release them, so that you can enjoy, too.

With You Are Here: Downtown Ant manages to take his downtempo sound into new territory. In doing so, he has moments that reminds you of Aphex Twin and others that could be what Art of Noise would sound like if they tried to make music like him. Moments of humor, adventure, bliss and beauty all come together in an immediate and addictive set. IMO, he’s hit the nail on the head… HIS sound has been defined… maybe he’ll surprise us with more goodies in the coming months? I sure hope so. In the meantime, enjoy this EP. Wear out your hard-drives, playing it.

Please Ant, don’t hurt ’em! Jeebus, man… this was an ill surprise. I think the kids are gonna dig it.

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

Projekt Luty – Dygnitarz

[UPL 070]

Projekt Luty

“Dygnitarz”

In December 2015 the commonest comember of Projekt Luty, Stach, visited the Nad Garażem Studio fresh from the British Isles for a joyful recording session. As always the project’s aim is to combine the knowledge and abilities of a person with (some) musical abilities, and the enthusiasm and fresh approach of a person unblemished with musical-theoretical background. And as always, at the crossroads we have an unimitable, undefineable organized chaos galloping through psychedelia, krautrock, punk, post-punk, even ambient and grunge, while keeping its lo-fi and homemade charm.

Wings of an Angel – The Master Thief Who Stole Your Lucid Dreams

[Self Release ]

Wings of an Angel

“The Master Thief Who Stole Your Lucid Dreams”

The Master Thief Who Stole Your Lucid Dreams (A Retrospective Anthology Of My Early Sample-Based Creative Work)

This is an extensive anthology album that sums up a creative period of some 10 years – circa 1996-2006.

I humbly feel that for you who are familiar with my contemporary body of work – and for those who hear my creative adventures for the first time – this is a worthy and even essential addition to my ever-growing lifelong catalog. It is a mirror back in time…

* Please pay attention to the bonus art book – an early collaboration between myself and designer abb-d. He did 4 original and wholly unique designs based on my poetry – the conceptual umbrella being the concept of SCREAMING SILENCE.

Yours Truly,
Wings of an Angel

BERTHELOT – Les anecdotes polyédriques

[earS084]

BERTHELOT
