about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Tonylight

“Chosen Works 09-14 (vol.1)”

This is the first solo-release by TONYLIGHT, the one and the only 8bit precursor. “Chosen Works 09-14 (vol.1)” is a selection of compositions made by Tony since 2009 in order to build-up his live performances along Europe. Tony’s beats de-construction gradually grows-up during the listening transforming this release into the most hypnotic music labyrinth you can think of. Repetitive percussions dominate patterns to create an infinite obsessional journey. Brain-cutting patterns to recall the most acid and rhythmic Rephlex and Warp productions. Lysergic journey. Move your body to save your brain w/TONYLIGHT!

Azoora

“New Height EP”

In February 2008, Azoora released their first recordings on 23 Seconds Netlabel. Almost seven years later they are still around on the very same label; which makes us very proud!

The New Height EP features the voice of Jon Partelow, also member of The Flying Blind and former member of Can´t Stop The Daggers. Despite a new lead singer, the group hasn’t lost its unique sound and feeling.
Enjoy another masterpiece by Azoora!

The Flying Blind

“Azoora RMX.EP”

The Flying Blind is an American band with a twist—the members all live in different cities, and work together mostly over the internet. Once or twice a year, they converge on a studio outside Chicago for a few weeks of high-octane debauchery and tracking.

In 2013 they released their self titled debut EP The Flying Blind. Now we are proud to present the remixed version, made by John Purcell / Azoora

Wings of an Angel – In This Morbid Dream, I Had A Direct Encounter With A Slow Motion Dissolution Into Nonexistence

Self-Releae

Wings of an Angel

“In This Morbid Dream, I Had A Direct Encounter With A Slow Motion Dissolution Into Nonexistence”

On that unforgettable night, I had slept maniacally and dreamed that I am no longer myself; I was dying slowly, slowly, like winter’s lazy snowflakes. In that morbid dream, I had encountered a slow motion dissolution into irreversible nonexistence. It was the most frightening experience I’ve ever had. To lose yourself is finite. We conduct our lives in the same way we manage our loves – dysfunctionally – thinking it’s everlasting and will never change or come to an end. But, like a fly in the ointment, it will sooner or later pass out, pass away, dissolve little by little or swiftly… And guess what? We can’t choose! So, like a broken VHS cassette which no longer functions properly but still works in slow motion mode, we eventually fall into the void of naught … I will never forget how my whole life had been shown to me like in some kind of a cheap Flickr slideshow effect. I had seen my failures and triumphs with clogged tears in my eyes, not only because of the nostalgia they had unsurprisingly awoken in me, but also because they had had exactly the same specific gravity. Then, it has occurred to me that life is a cold neutral mechanism, in which no event has no more or less value than the other. And by the end of it, be it bitter or bittersweet, nothing of the last remaining relics of my once unfathomable gang of friends shall survive. All will perish, all will wash away with the timeless winter rain.

Чокнутый Пропеллер – Миллиарды лет

[SCL151]

Чокнутый Пропеллер

“Миллиарды лет”

«Миллиарды лет» is an experimental
album by the band «Чокнутый Пропеллер». It was recorded to celebrate band’s ninth anniversary.
You won’t find any tracks like «Люди против ментов» or «We Wanna Rock», however there are many love songs. Electric guitars were replaced by acoustic, punk rock was replaced by country or Americana. In fact that sounds more like a radio-friendly record, but it’s important to notice that not many bands in Russia are able to record such music in their native language.

Weedie – Tep Sava Galvos

Weedie

“Tep Sava Galvos”

Kahvi welcomes guest artist Weedie with a six track ep entitled ‘Tep Sava Galvos’ (meaning Between my head in Lithuanian).

Slightly underground and less mainstream than the last release from Tetarise, Weedie looks towards the minimal and eccentric side of electronic music with subtle beats and melodies, yet nice analog sounds such as the basses on Ego Cogito Cogitatum.

Influences are obviously artists such as Autechre and perhaps a hint of Arovane, and even some Solar Fields, which makes for an interesting listening experience to many a Kahvi fan.

Track of choice for me would be Cukrus Chalvai Atrodo Originaliai Saldus (in English Sugar seems to halva originally sweet) with its mellow groove and nice sounds. The last non-English trackname is Eik ir motyvuokis which means Go and motivate (yourself)

JEAN-LUC GUIONNET – D’INCISE

“At Cave12”

Jean-Luc Guionnet: saxophone
d’incise: laptop

Jean-Luc Guionnet: « My musical work subdivides itself into as many ways as occasions arise for me to think and act with sound. Those occasions have always to do with a strong meeting with an outside element: an instrument (saxophone/organ), a theoretical idea (what is « rumour »?), and mainly a collaborating friend (André Almuro, Éric Cordier, Éric La Casa, Lotus Edde Khouri … Seijiro Murayama) … There then follows a collection of themes which, in turn, influence the evolution of the musical work and define the direction of meetings to come: the thickness of the air, the pidgin (language with neither grammar nor vocabulary), the musical instrument considered as affective automaton, listening dark unto itself, the algebra of and in hearing, sound as a signature of space, signature of objects, signature of what it is not… the fact that French uses the same word – le temps – for time and weather, propagation and spread of forms in time etc. Music is, then, a way to test reality.
Conversely, it’s a test whose experience defines a new distribution of the whole body by artificially localizing it in an unknown and purely physical environment, all the while being able to think, count, make relations or understand places, and so forth. The emotion I look for in music is made out of all these strata and the sliding of one over the other during the act of listening »

d’incise, electroacoustic musician, doing both composed and improvised works. He focuses mainly on generation and manipulation of acoustic sound sources and objects, loves feedbacks and digital glitches as well. He tends to extract the most tiny details of the elements, appreciates slowness and obsessive explorations of simple processes. He coordinates the Insub. label and the Insub Meta Orchestra with Cyril Bondi, with whom he also have the Diatribes duo.

“Particle Decelerator”

Manb is here and is ready to twist the laws of phisics as he decided to build his “particle decelerator” in Sucu Music territory. He takes samples, glitches and noises, stirs everything in his subatomic blender, and the result is a beautiful and obviously juicy cocktail.
(It should be noted that “Particle decelerator” sees the light as a video album, and for this reason it should preferably first be seen before being heard.)
