Good Over Evil Productions is a roots reggae project founded in Spain by the producers Jah Ivan and Dani Roots, the singer Sista Livity and Furi the manager. JKP’s chiptune releases between 2005 and 2010 had a strong influence on how 20kbps and lobit was perceived in that era and it also affected how I looked at my label.
Nine years later, it’s a different world. A different netaudio scene. And of course, 20kbps has changed as well. Nosthalgia is big, everything is retro. JKP takes it some steps further with a short EP dedicated to Film Noir. The four tracks use samples from four movies: Impact, He Walked By Night, Plan 9 From Outer Space and Manos: The Hands Of Fate. Only the first two are Film Noir, the other two are Horror B Movies. Being a cinephile I’ve seen them all, in the period when JKP was first releasing here. You see, everything is connected.
Last summer, my former bandmate asked me to process and glue his field shots, which he had taken during the holidays in Croatia. I liked the idea so much that I threw myself into this adventure and did all kinds of field shots with my old Nokia Classic 2300. With the material of Mathias and myself, I ventured into a new universe. This resulted in this over 2 hours long work, which should correspond to a timeless time capsule. This was my first work in this direction and it was a lot of fun, although a lot of time was taken.
>From outward journey to stay to return, this album breaks down a bit of modern history and does not leave much room for distraction. In the first chapter, the listener soon notices that the technician had forgotten to turn off his iPhone after field recording and most likely fell asleep. Sometimes one hears his breath, which fits in calmly on the whole chapter. Chapters 2 and 3 were then deliberately introduced as hearty life sketches and give the album a true consciousness.
Let yourself be abducted into a world full of appreciation.

A melodic, chaotic, deep and melancholic maxi-single, slow at its beginning but becomes faster and cheerful. Lyrics are just basically phrases they came out with while they played the songs. Distraught shrieking is just a background texture.
This album is a result of bad days as human beings, and some kind of catharsis for all. ‘Santa Rosa de Lima’ is a reminder that life goes on while we are sitting here, waiting for something to happen.

Yris is a 25-year-old french singer-songwriter. She released her first song on the internet in 2010, when she was a teenager.
After a first album studio “The riverside”, she released another one recently : “Histoire Naturelle” came out on April, 19th 2019.
“Histoire Naturelle” is the second album studio by Yris. The lead single “On s’en va” is successful on Soundcloud (more than 135 000 streams with Freebackgroundmusic).
The next single taken from this album will be : “Perdue Ft. Bthelick”.
