about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

DR – This Way

[CAAM0009]

DR

“This Way”

Dominic Razlaff (aka DR) returns to CerebralAudio with a new release: This Way.

Dominic’s minimal approach to drone music makes for excellent listening any time: driving, or studying, working or meditating.

This Way is a statement about music, and particularly drone works. He is sticking close to the original Brian Eno inspired concept of drone works: they should be minimal in terms of structure and movement. They have the capacity to both be listened to and ignored at the same time. Ambient music by it’s very nature, is an audio experience that enhances the environment.

Tha Silent Partner – Platters, Act 7: Tha Anniversary Plate

[BSOG0068]

Tha Silent Partner

“Platters, Act 7: Tha Anniversary Plate”

On December 24th, 2007, Gregory “Tha Silent Partner” Davis released the first volume in what would become an enduring series of music release that altogether has accumulated an incredible 100,000+ downloads. In our little Creative Commons licensed / Netlabel sphere of music, those kinds of numbers are hard to come by. If, as an artist, you’re getting numbers like that, you’re doing something right. Of course, TSP is. It’s difficult for a music producer to develop “a sound”, yet, that’s exactly what he’s done.

Act 7 continues the legacy with ten solid grooves for funkin’… or whatever… download… turn it on… bump it loud… enjoy.

Ever since I first heard Act 1 on Jamendo and decided to include “No Mas” on “netBloc Volume 11 (The Raw and the Cooked)”, it was clear to me that Tha Silent Partner was a music artist that I wanted to keep up with. I was later thrilled when he showed interest in having his music being released at blocSonic It’s been a pleasure and an honor to be able to help spread the word about TSP over the years! It’s also incredible that it’s already going on ten years since he kicked off Platters the Platters series. I look forward to the next ten. TSP, thank you, sir!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

Pk jazz Collective – Safe From Harm

[Netlabel Day 2017]

Pk jazz Collective

“Safe From Harm”

Песня “What If?”

Luck & Doc – Take Time (Maxi Single)

[BSMX0162]

Luck & Doc

“Take Time (Maxi Single)”

Today we’ve got something for you that, in a way, began back in 2016 when BADLUCK collaborated with C-Doc on “Freak of Nature” for the dope collaborative album DocSonic. Fast-forward to this year and both decided to join forces again to deliver more fresh hip-hop.

With Luck in the middle of a flurry of recording for multiple projects and C-Doc coming off of production work for Public Enemy’s new album (which has recently released for free online), it’s incredible that they both had the time to make such a collaboration happen!

Luck & Doc make such a great team and I can’t wait to share the album with you! However, for the time being, enjoy the first single… Take Time. The album, Live At The Wake, is scheduled for release on Netlabel Day, July 14th.

Mad props to BADLUCK & C-Doc for collaborating to deliver something special for hip-hop heads to enjoy. There’s so much to dislike about the internet these days, but collaborations such as this are an example of what’s so amazing about it.

O.L.M. – Book of Daniel

[DPH032]

O.L.M.

“Book of Daniel”

It was around 2,600 years ago when a Judean teenager was taken captive by the rapidly ascending Babylonian Empire, a force of unstoppable military strength, great wealth and technological advancement. Normally such an event would lead to a life in misery as a slave … but God had something else in mind for this young man named Daniel.

Daniel, The teenager who had been taken captive, came to realize that God was miraculously working with him … but not only to preserve his life. God was revealing through him some major prophecies of future world-ruling empires. As a resident of the world’s premier capital city and AS an honored wise man in King Nebuchadnezzar’s court, Daniel demonstrated God’s superiority over the pagan gods of Babylon and left a legacy of faithful obedience to God in spite of grave trials and tribulations.

Inspired by the Old Testament book, Italian producer Orlando La Montagna adapts the story of Daniel and transforms it into a dub adventure, introducing different variations of the same riddim just like the different chapters of the book. Each track has a deep spiritual ambience; starting with “Induction in Babylon” where Daniel is introduced in the hard Babylonian system through a stepper-techno beat and ending with “Life Giver”, which sends the final message to our permissive society of power-hungry people … to a nation without God. Daniel’s situation in Babylon sounds quite a bit like our own, doesn’t it?

Berg Dorf – Blow Cuts

[mfm17]

Berg Dorf

“Blow Cuts”

‘Blow Cuts’ is a collection of raw hip-hop beats with very little embellishment. They provide a blank canvas for imagination. Ideally, the listener should fill the gaps. The aim is to fuel a contemplative state of mind. These tracks were made effortlessly, during a state of flow, and it shows. Most of the samples used have been collected over the years from movies and various other sources. As an artist, Ι’m glad to have managed to produce something coherent in form and content. I enjoy visiting my Blow Cuts from time to time—when the mood is right—and Ι hope you will, too.
