about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

REfugEEs From Beyond – Fidget Batcave

[LCNLP211]

REfugEEs From Beyond

“Fidget Batcave”

The Batcave was a weekly club-night launched at 69 Dean Street in central London in 1982. It is considered to be the birthplace of the Southern English goth subculture. It lent its name to the term Batcaver, used to describe the early fans of gothic rock music, who would adorn themselves in Batwing coffin necklaces to distinguish themselves from other goth clubs. Geiger von Müller – Origins #5 (Pelso Remix)

Geiger von Müller

“Origins #5 (Pelso Remix)”

“To say this is an original piece of music is an understatement. It is a lucid combination of sublime sonic fusion of genres and a piece of music for those who get lost in their thought with the right soundtrack. Giving that vibe of part feeling and part emotion, ‘Origins #5’ feels like a concept for the introverted and an anthem for the subtle genius.

The video has a matching avant-garde vibe and way about it. Meaningless to those who never bother and meaningful to those who are aware of their surroundings, we get an obscure marriage of sight and sound done in such a way that makes it as captivating for the mind as it is captive in the heart.”

Various Artists – Aurora 2025: Nurture

Various Artists

“Aurora 2025: Nurture”

All previous volumes of Aurora 2025 have embodied resilience in its many forms – endurance, determination, courage, strength, and adaptability. The final volume takes a unique approach, reflecting on the intentions set in 2024 while introducing an element of mystery. Selected tracks from Aurora 2024 were remixed by an AI remixer, with both the original and remixed versions – alongside new 2025 tracks from the same artists – analyzed through AI-driven sentiment analysis. Danceability, happiness, and sadness scores were then processed in NotebookLM Audio Overviews, where AI hosts attempted to uncover whether intention-setting for selected artists had a measurable impact. The insights that emerged were unexpected. These remixed tracks were then blended with excerpts from the Audio Overviews, creating a layered experience – almost as if an AI had listened, interpreted, and responded. A few playful mysteries have also been woven into this final release. Which secret words are hidden in the compilation descriptions? Who is the mystery artist? Let us know if you uncover the answers.

“Aurora 2025: Passage”

Shaped by intricate rhythms and evolving textures, the fourth volume of Aurora 2025 explores resilience through a fusion of electronica, IDM, and industrial influences. Underlying each track is a tension between dystopian unease and dreamlike introspection, mirroring themes of passage and change. Resonant beats and fragmented melodies intertwine, visibly shifting between structure and abstraction. Inviting deep listening, it offers a space for voices of the past and future to emerge in layered compositions. Ever-present is a quiet strength – a testament to persistence through transition.

Few months ago I’ve seen that Black Sun painted by Odilon Redon in Amsterdam Van Gogh’s Museum. And Odilon is one of my fav surrealist precursors, so despite I enjoy a lot Coil, the title comes more from this black sun and also from the black sun of Bauhaus on the sleeve of the Sky’s Gone Out. Or also les éditions Soleil Noir.

Except for the Title the artwork is made without computer edit with an argentic photography bleach with javel and other substances…
There is an great exhibition (80 photos) of my photos & Studio112 argentic photographies till the end of february in france more info in french here https://www.horsnorme.org/instanT/

Dedicated to those who are not afraid to cross the darkness to reach the light and go further in the in between.

*What you are listening is a spontaneous improvisation, nothing prepared, no overdub, no mix, no edit except few…

Ryo Kawawada – Paludarium

[mi327]

Ryo Kawawada

“Paludarium”

We have another debut on MiMi Records. Japanese artist Ryo Kawawada brings us “Paludarium”, an ambient and introspective album that blends the softness of acoustic guitar with natural sounds, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere.

Kawawada uses the guitar delicately, creating subtle sonic layers that evoke images of peaceful landscapes, like a walk through a swamp. The album conveys a sense of calm, yet maintains a slight tension, inviting deep listening.

With a minimalist approach, “Paludarium” is a work that celebrates the connection with nature and the ability of music to create hypnotic and evocative soundscapes.

Neko – Windfall (Mahorka Edition)

[mhrk419]

Neko

“Windfall (Mahorka Edition)”

Refreshed from a year’s meditation and fuelled by a lethal combination of extra strong coffee and those lotus biscuits with the cream in the middle, Neko, the premier act to emerge from Bristol’s thriving Japanese language post rock/electronica micro scene (population 1) are back with “Windfall”, their second EP, following on from their highly acclaimed 2023 debut “King Louie”.

Like most second releases, it’s a more mature collection of songs than its predecessor (fewer songs about 5 a side football, more songs about complicated IT jobs and desperate attempts to avoid middle aged spread) that sees the band, now with vocalist Yuka Suzuki as a full time member, polish and develop their distinctive sound.

Teaming up again with producer Dom Mitchison, the EP’s four tracks are a vibrant melting pot of styles and ideas. Yuka Suzuki’s ethereal vocals are the one constant, through the dreamy “Stack Overflow” and “Kleshas” to the moody guitar lines and Donna Summer style synths of “Almost Forgotten”. The slow-building title track “Windfall” brings the EP to a pounding, cathartic conclusion.

The band will be undertaking a short tour towards the end of November to promote the release, with dates in Cardiff, London and hometown Bristol currently pencilled in. The “Windfall” EP is available for listening on Spotify and other music streaming services, while officially released on Shoredive Records (on CD) and Mahorka (cassette).

The Mahorka Edition cassette includes a whole exclusive B side of spectacular remixes of the original EP tracks by Asshole Galaxy, Tawdry Otter, Brainquake, popon and Suzuki.

Laricchia, Matsumoto, Nitti, Papadopolus DUO – Le lettere di S. Paolo

Laricchia, Matsumoto, Nitti, Papadopolus DUO

ENG
Laricchia, Matsumoto, Nitti, and Padapopolous form an innovative musical duo, with Laricchia on piano and trombone and Nitti on drums, while the other members of the group do not play any instruments.

The duo was formed during a workshop on music and spirituality held at the Abbey of St. Paul Outside the Walls in Rome in 2024. Gifted with great compositional and organizational skills but lacking in attention, the four learned one letter of the Italian alphabet each: P, A, O, and L. Only four letters are needed to spell out “S. Paolo” (the O is repeated twice and the S is silent).

This ensemble stands out for its ability to create a unique and engaging atmosphere with simple melodies typical of those who have just started playing but feel the urgency to flood the music market with the story of their lives.

With the hope of being appreciated, this first volume of a collectible album series wishes a future of serenity to: Corinthians, Colossians, Ephesians, Philippians, Galatians, Romans, Thessalonians.

“I passed on to you what I also received” (1 Corinthians 15:3).

Sýček – IV

Sýček

“IV”

released September 17, 2024

Sýček jako fénix vstává z popela v minulém roce, kdy frontman a zpěvák skupiny Libor Staněk II. společně s kytaristou Richardem Steinem (Pokora) do nové formace přizvali Jakuba Zháňala (ex Acute dose), Ambroze Šuleje (Krstní Otcovia) a Adama Křizovenského s Nataly Středovou (GRÜNT).

Number Eleven – Pickled Alligators

[EEM072]

Number Eleven

“Pickled Alligators”

Pickled Alligators – a moronic reference to the lizard brain within the host in the party of monetized attention.
Just dance more, relax and enjoy the party! Ingest everything the life has for pleasure and forget the life itself. Why?
A party that is a declaration of nihilism is not a party which instills relaxation – it is a neck gripping spasm of dread. Deeply embroided with loneliness, masked with pseudo-alpha psychopathy. The party has to be a celebration of life – wins and losses, a strive for connection and discovery, through honest communication.
Just bring your garbage on the table to tell us how You feel and let’s move! Bring yourself, with all your foibles and make me dance, rather than tell me how cool you are, playing someone elses words.
What taught you to be afraid? Your Pickled Alligators?
This is my party.

kardaver – Funeral para todo régimen de creencias

kardaver

“Funeral para todo régimen de creencias”

“Radar Truck”

“Check out the latest single from London-based Geiger von Müller, known for his experimental adventures in slide guitar. ‘Radar Truck’ is a blend of blues guitar and Müller’s cosmic sonic explorations. With just his acoustic guitar, Müller creates a range of sounds and rhythms, taking us on a sonic journey with a real groove. The ‘Radar Truck’ in the song’s title relates to the classic Lego space range, which has featured in a number of Müller’s videos. One of the key messages is that this range of toys prioritised exploration over conflict, with no weapons available in the original sets – something to think about in our turbulent times.” =Americana UK
