The TCFSR Solo Word project reaches it’s sixteenth iteration with the first mid year release for some time.
But this is no ordinary Solo Word project, in a development from the last collection ‘EPOCH’, which included three tracks by artists associated with Burnt Seed Records of Western Australia burntseedrecords.bandcamp.com this compilation includes many more artists associated with Burnt Seed and is a joint release.

Artists were given the single word ‘FOOL’ to interpret with whatever audio they deemed appropriate. There were no instructions other than a deadline for contributions.

At the beginning of the year, Sascha Müller (Psychocandies) asked me if I wanted to do my part for Netlabel Day and contribute a track. Full of enthusiasm, I immediately agreed, only to later realize that time was running out. Too much on my mind, too many projects at once – my problem again. At the last minute, I found a track that had been hidden in my infamous drawer since 2021. Since I recognized potential, I got to work on it, as always at the last minute, changing a few nuances here and there and giving my Waldorf Pulse a voice again.
The theme of the track is “Stupid Love” – a reflection on how crazy love can sometimes be. Whether it’s the passion for music, the relationship with your better half or the incessant urge for toxic bonds and intense, physical music – love has many facets.
As always, you can download the track for free from my Bandcamp profile and from today you can also hear it somewhere in the vastness of this stream during the online stream for Netlabel Day.

During the days between the 19th and 24th June 2023, Christoph Ogiermann, composer, performer, painter gives a workshop at the John Cage Haus in Halberstadt, Germany, on performing ideas derived by John Cage and the I-Ching. In the group of participants, Mattia Bonafini performs also with a No-Input Mixing Board configuration in duo with Christoph, aka Crog, on the violin.
On the 25th, they decided to play together in the main Hall of the J. C. Haus:
they placed a handheld recorder and performed for themselves.
The recording was mixed and mastered by Mattia Bonafini; they decided to propose this material to attenuation circuit and Vykintas Baltakas.
The name CROMB is the mixture of ChRistophOGiermann + MattiaBonafini.
The drawings on the cover are CROG’s creations.

The subsequent fate of the former shahini and the “Lady of Women” was tragic. She, among other notable people of Khorezm, was sent with a caravan of prisoners to the capital of Mongolia, the city of Karakorum. There they were supposed to serve at the court of the great khan. And they became concubines.

It’s another newcomer to netlabel. Hayato Murakai brings us his debut album entitled “Sloth”. Even after we started listening to it, we were outraged and curious by the fact that the 4 songs had exactly the same tempo, 18’16”.
The first track is “seagull screaming” and is the heaviest track on the EP, a beautiful fusion of noise and beats. Then, song after song, the harshness of the sound reduces and we end the EP with a more ambient track.
All four tracks work together to create an interesting artistic piece of electronic musical work.
A must listen!
