about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Breakup-Party – Ghosts

[djummi.008]

Breakup-Party

“Ghosts”

I like the “Pop” this way: When in fact this music is banging in the true sense of the word. Catchy and radical! And together with the fellows Indie and Noise “Ghosts” ranges from doubting fragile to resolute explosive: passionately, unsparingly and glamorously!

The Line of Apollo – The Line of Apollo (EP)

[BM08R17]

The Line of Apollo

“The Line of Apollo (EP)”

The Line of Apollo was founded by two friends (former classmates) in 2014. in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, in the Russian Federation. Later, they were joined by two more participants.
The band members have played together since 2007, from school times, but the previous project broke up and a revived The Line of Apollo appeared from its ashes. The name was created as a derivative of the past band name (Underline The Sunday). The Line of Apollo also means “The Sun Line”. This line is on the palm of a man and symbolizes the creative beginning.
Initially, the band’s music was based on the youthful hobbies of the band by American alternative, pop-punk and punk bands such as Blink-182, Yellowcard, Sum-41, etc. Becoming older, the collective began to choose a heavier and atmospheric direction under the influence of already modern genres, like such as post-rock, post-hardcore, melodic-hardcore, etc. Although the vocal performance remained clear.

Luca Calcagno – La Pioggia Rinfresca L’Estate

[IYE23]

Luca Calcagno

Luca Calcagno is a musician in Cogoleto, the province of the Empire, who grew up in bread, music and Genoa. Mostly self-taught, he lives in music, in the sense that he works in a musical instrument store. He is a person like us all, surely with a talent above the average, and you will hear them listening to these songs that are part of the singles. Indie Pop nineties but also much more, through the tradition especially British, but with a strong Italian melody. There are many things in these two songs, those of you a little older will certainly remember the Italian things in the nineties, and it’s where they come from. Luca writes and plays with care, and all this can be heard in his music. Publish this single is for us an honor.
If you meet him do not ever give him a question about who you prefer between Beatles and Rolling Stone. The answer is obvious.

poj.wlkp – Do Zorzy

[UPL 075]

poj.wlkp

“Do Zorzy”

poj.wlkp’s new album ‘Do Zorzy’ is their 10th and presents their best recordings to date. The wonderful progression continues, as the creative force behind the project, Jan Strach, fine tunes his abilities and really focuses them into a unique and forlorn dreamy atmosphere. Taking 4 years to create, these songs have been excruciatingly crafted and analyzed by an artist who has poured his heart and the secrets of his soul into every sound and lyric. Each song has an interesting structure with layers of ambiance, character and experimentation strewn about the melodies, all while maintaining a core of folk.

The opening song “Zrobilem Sobie Spacer” sets the tone of the album with a wonderfully noodling guitar dancing throughout its ether, ultimately climaxing in howling melody. The album continues triumphantly with peaks and valleys, all weaving in and out of heartfelt lyrics and lush instrumentals. Coming full circle at the end with “Białe Pola,” a beautiful acoustic number reminiscent of the early days of poj.wlkp. Two bonus tracks grace the Unfinite Records release, both of which only add to the album’s allure. On the whole, ‘Do Zorzy’ is a crowning effort waiting to be explored on a rainy day in your heart of hearts.

Jan Strach – Bjurwa Fantomatyczna

[UPL 073]

Jan Strach

“Bjurwa Fantomatyczna”

“Absolutely uncategorizable combination of rock, casio-electronics, lo-fi, majestic pop, punk, post-punk, krautrock, full of colliding samples, guitars, keyboards, whiny effects, but also beautiful melodies and non-dumb lyrics. For lack of a better term called by me “psychedelic chaos-pop”. A work of constantly sleep-deprived madman, made with love and as carefully as the modest setup allowed, so as to depict, as closely as possible, the inside of his tired head.”

menkenkes – anfang august ende september

[djummi.006]

menkenkes

“anfang august ende september”

(…) An album, recorded quasi overnight, when check lists, fault-finder and top producer sleep. Thus escaping forward, handbrake released and handluggage only: A bunch of broke, a fistfull of wire brush chords, a cup of dreamy speckles, the bass unleashed during walking, the drums dashed downstairs with rumble, outside in front of the door after all everything spontaneously and happily exaled with a deep sigh. Various – Into The Rift Volume Two

Various – Into The Rift Volume Two
[CAAN0002]

Various

“Into The Rift Volume Two”

The theme “World Wide Storms” for Into The Rift Volume Two, was inspired by looking at the world around us, the events and issues that are facing us. Whether those events are political, social, environmental, or something else, everyone has been touched by some looming storm in front of us.

Part of the fun in making a theme like this was that it left the artists open to interpretation. It could be literal, metaphor, allegory, or any of other ideas that the artists had in mind. And there are fifteen very different perspectives on the storms in our world today.

But there is also a consistency to this release. It’s not just a collection of recordings thrown together. Each artist has contributed a work that fits within the theme, making for a recording that is more experience than it’s predecessor.

The seventeen tracks on Into The Rift Volume Two represent a lot of different thoughts on the world, right now. But, I am optimistic about one thing: this is a work that will transcend current events.

Pk jazz Collective – Safe From Harm

[Netlabel Day 2017]

Pk jazz Collective

“Safe From Harm”

Песня “What If?”

Drunkeninstrumentcorporation – Always The Same 10 Fucking Songs

[IYE20]

Drunkeninstrumentcorporation

“Always The Same 10 Fucking Songs”

Drunkeninstrumentcorporation was born in Saluzzo in 1998, in the deep Cuneo province, to make sense of boredom, the first engine of provincial life. And to run away from boredom, Marco Abba aka Drunkeninstrumentcorporation invented several worlds, and these are just ten beautiful photos that give us through so many genres, from powerpop to the more classic pop, from rock college to lo fi, but it’s really limiting to talk about genres, because here is the joy of making music and the freshness you’ve heard in some disks and you have not found it again. A true provincial masterpiece

Artem Bemba – Cinealarm

[SCL193]

Artem Bemba

“Cinealarm”

Cinealarm – is like you’re sitting at work and suddenly the sirens begin to roar everywhere and on the radio, oldfashion soviet-radio style voice is heard: “Attention! Attention! Cinealarm!”. Then people start panic, although they do not know what to do and it’s unclear where the movie approaches to them. It is not an expensive Hollywood movie. It’s not even the cheap horror of the 80’s. It’s more like some unpopular surrealistic films of not very well-known directors or a collection of short films by these directors.

Bralitz – Bralitz

[BSMX0155]

Bralitz

“Bralitz”

“Bralitz is a one-man-band who plays guitar, drums and percussion, piano, bass, harmonica, ukulele and sings songs he writes himself. He randomly chose the name Bralitz (a small town in North Eastern Germany) for no real reason other than its simplicity and the fact he often goes there to participate in a music festival organized by his friends. Bralitz draws inspiration from classics of various genres, i.e. rock ’n roll, folk, bossa nova, chanson, and manouche, to name a few. Using multi-track recording, he performs all the parts on most of his songs and sings most of the harmonies to his own lead vocals.”

So that’s the official bio. I’ll only add that this little collection of songs packs a melodic punch with thematic ties running throughout. You’ll likely find yourself putting the album on repeat for a while.

A very special thanks to Bralitz for the terrific EP! Welcome to the blocSonic fam!
