about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Kai Engel – Evening Colors

SCL133

Kai Engel

“Evening Colors”

If Kai Engel’s third album showed his abilities as a composer of cinematic soundtracks for historical films, then his new work gets us back to the neoclassical tone of sound, only with far greater versatility and skill. Once again you’ll hear lyrical melodies born in joys and sadnessess of love, inspired by a melancholy in the night, a light sorrow and urban romantics.

Wings of an Angel – Kaleidoscope

Self-Release

Wings of an Angel

“Kaleidoscope”

Constant noise, crude movements we make in order to repress our emotions; we create kaleidoscopes of foreign meanings that have everything to do with hiding from ourselves. And we keep telling lies. What will happen if you stop and freeze yourself in this rat race?
With over 1,000 kaleidoscopes all-around me, my eyes have slowly closed to all incoming stimuli, resulting in an emotional deadlock.
This is the music that I’ve composed in order to break free from this vicious circle. Will you join me on this introspective journey?

Kai Engel – Deathless: The Renaissance

SCL125

Kai Engel

“Deathless: The Renaissance”

Almost three months ago Kai Engel released “Calls and Echoes”, an album that signalled a move towards epic trailer music with the old neoclassical approach. On new album composer went deeply in that direction. Characterized by more dramatic, cinematographic dynamics, the sound of “Deathless: The Renaissance” also incorporated ambient elements, became heavier and darker. Two months of work and nine compositions, almost screaming at you from the headphones: “We’re just made for a movie!”. Have a nice listening.

Wings of an Angel – I Haven’t Expressed My Feelings In Quite A While

Self-Releae

Wings of an Angel

“I Haven’t Expressed My Feelings In Quite A While”

Back to the melting pot reactor of mindfulness, quiet music, dynamic movement onward, intimate spirit dance, peaceful demons that are now metamorphosing into beautiful dancing angels…
This LP is quite simply Emotional Generative Ambient Music that is based on my multitude of reflections on this theater of a lifetime. It is, in my perception, the perfect backdrop to my nocturnal ruminations and meditations. I feel that Wisdom’s meta-language is not growing thanks to spiritual practices or far-fetched ascetic exercises – secret and/or esoteric.. But, when one observes fearlessly unto himself and his environment, frankly and indomitably. When one observes all stimuli, multidimensional frequency receivers, voice, sound, movement, touch, smell, eyesight etc’. And this is the source of my endless moments of monumental inspiration – watching life’s events as though they were and are embryos – looking at them compassionately running somewhere, perhaps to another universe, fading away peacefully and quietly… To another dimension … The memory fades away with time, and with those changes, I sincerely feel that what we lose is far greater than what we acquire along the way…Thus, I feel that my emotionally-intense quasi-random ambient music is the purest representation of a constant present-perfect-dream-time reflection unto the very soul of the world, that is momentary at its very core.

“NN Vol. 3 True Purpose Of The Electronic Distortion”

“There’s no two without three” or “Three is the perfect number”.. you choose which one is more suitable for introducing this third anniversary compilation that every year gives us the opportunity to prepare this special release of previously unreleased tracks by a lot of great artists. This year, the huge compilation features music by professional artists such as Robert Lippok and Herself which goes a special thanks for having participated with other emerging artists that deserve special treatment that Nostress Netlabel reserves. The introduction of new catalogs of physical media supports such as CDs and your kind donations, has offered to us the opportunity to be able to have the necessary funds to organize events and local concerts and for that we are grateful. We continue our work with pride and hope to be able to do more and learn about new artists and music of great interest.

Kai Engel – Calls and Echoes

SCL115

Kai Engel

“Calls and Echoes”

Well, Kai Engel didn’t just sit around doing nothing at all. That kind of person can’t afford to. So, what is his brand new album like? It’s pretty much a soundtrack to a movie that never was and never will be. Yet we can get a glimpse of it by exploring the palette of sounds and listening to every note closely – there are landscapes and images, characters and stories, scenes and moods. There are calls and echoes. So, after all that film probably does exist.

Massimo Ruberti – The city without sun

NN cd002_12_13

Massimo Ruberti

“The city without sun”

“The City Without Sun” is a concept album of instrumental electronic music. An ideal soundtrack for the kid’s novel by Michel Grimaud ‘La ville sans soleil’. A French novel of the 70s, which in the post ’68 era, tell us about of a group of teenager activists against the pollution of their ‘city without sun’ by an unscrupulous local squire.A book that still has not lost his, though simplistic, message of rebellion and hope. A book to be known, to be implemented, to not forget.

Wings of an Angel – Lightworkers Are Us

Self-Release

Wings of an Angel

“Lightworkers Are Us”

“There is a light that shines beyond all things on earth, beyond the highest, the very highest heavens. This is the light that shines in your heart” (Chandogya Upanishad)

“Remember the clear light, the pure clear white light from which everything in the universe comes, to which everything in the universe returns; the original nature of your own mind. The natural state of the universe unmanifest. Let go into the clear light, trust it, merge with it. It is your own true nature, it is home”.
(Tibetan Book of the Dead)

“If you light a lamp for someone else,
it will also brighten your path”.
(Buddah)

“Sometimes our light goes out but is blown again into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light.”
(Albert Schweitzer)

Marc De Blanchard – Activité Animale

D!HR-22

Marc De Blanchard

“Activité Animale”

Activité Animale is an obsessive and heady album organized around nine tracks (and one bonus !) with a crescendo intensity promising a paroxystic transe.

This second opus brings us in a mystical adventure carried by a brutal and heavy bass tainted of an ingenious mixture of stolen animal and sciencefiction sounds. A well orchestrated alternation of organic and synthetic sounds evolving on rhythm form IDM to techno and disco to rockabilly.

Activité Animale tells us about transformation from man to animal, a frightening absurd metamorphosis creating a necessary humility to an open travel where everything is possible. Consider this album as a skillfully build up journey releasing your deeper animal instincts.

In fact Activité Animale is first if all an invitation to discover the « galactic zoo » universe of Marc de Blanchard, kingdom of laser tigers and leopards hearts !
Within this 22nd release, Da ! Heard It Records is promising once again a nice sound and visual adventure. Prepare your grooming to a kicky expedition trough the farthest reaches of your animality.
