René Muñoz Córdova – KOM
René Muñoz Córdova
“KOM”
KOM constitutes one of the most condensed realizations within the artistic trajectory of René Muñoz Córdova. Far from representing a rupture with his previous investigations, the work condenses decades of research into a single sonic piece.
Endowed with a strong physical force, KOM unfolds as a ritual of musique concrète and acousmatic practice, where materials possess density and weight, and the acoustic space acquires a three-dimensional dimension. The instrumental ensemble emerges as a presence that is simultaneously solid and spectral: industrial debris, resonances of metallic strings, voice, electronic synthesis, and the structural role of the bansuri converge in the configuration of a complex and deeply corporeal sonic architecture.
