about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“Don’t Touch My Scotch b/w Hip-Hop Topics”

So last week we introduced you to P.U.C.K. (Previously Unknown Canadian Kids), the project that cheese and Pot-C were both involved with back in the late 90s. Well today they’re back again! This time with a couple great songs that they recorded back in the early 2000s. Could there be more music from them on the horizon? Perhaps.

Thanks again P.U.C.K! Another dope single. Really can’t wait for the album!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

P.U.C.K.

“F*ck You Everybody b/w F*ck Gary Bettman”

Back in the late 90s, our own Cheese N Pot-C were in a group that grabbed a bit of attention in Canada after the 1994-95 NHL lockout. That group, P.U.C.K. (Previously Unknown Canadian Kids), released a fiery anthem that captured the general zeitgeist among Hockey fans at the time. The song, a literal F.U. to Gary Bettman, the NHL Commissioner who insisted on salary caps and was one of the major factors that caused the 104 day lockout to occur. The song was released on the 1999 compilation “Johnny Hanson Presents… Puck Rock Vol. 2” released by Sudden Death Records.

Well today, they arrive here at blocSonic and deliver a couple friendly NSFW ditties… “F*ck You Everybody” and a live version of the infamous “F*ck Gary Bettman”. Consisting of Long John, Cheese, Pot-C, Kenny-K, Dementon aka Tha D, Tha R, Herbal-T, Yuk MC, Qwest-Dogg, Pee Wee & Tha G.M.C… P.U.C.K say hi and want to let you know that there’s more to come. Next week we’ve got single two!

Yo, P.U.C.K.! Welcome back! This is great stuff. Thank you for allowing blocSonic to help you continue the P.U.C.K. legacy! Welcome to the bloc fam! Now we’re waiting for an album. :)

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Special Request – Zero Fucks

Special Request – Zero Fucks

Special Request

“Zero Fucks”

Special Request drops the fourth and final album of 2019. Concentrating purely on the heavyweight original hardcore ethos of taking whatever you want from anywhere, these tracks are made for shelling down dances and losing your marbles.

Those who have been paying close attention will recognise the face-melting drum treatments from those instagram clips, constructed using purpose-built equipment and a healthy amount of irreverence.

Elsewhere we find clock mechanisms worked into the layers of various tracks, the voices of Francis Bacon, David Lynch and others & eventually one such clock speeding up to oblivion, merely hinting at where Special Request is taking you next…

Vinyl editions to follow in 2020 and will be released and deleted on the same day. Pay 0.00 for these downloads. Enjoy life.

SIQMENT.HIDDEN

“MADE IN HEAVEN”

MADE IN HEAVEN is one of a million worlds, one of an infinite number of test sites of Black Flame Corporation.
MADE IN HEAVEN is a reboot stage, it is a wonderful world without us people. Everything previously created by us now serves as a home for all living things that inhabit Earth. Our best technologies have found harmony with nature, creating an ideal and beautiful world with their symbiosis. Subways, terminals, server rooms, skyscrapers: all this came to life as never before. Cities turned into snow-white forests.
This music release gives us a glimpse into an ideal world, where the Earth finally came to harmony

On behalf of our artists and team, we wish you all the best for the new year. A couple of great projects are in the planning which we can’t wait to share with you. Thanks for your support!

Lamont Kohner – Nightly

Lamont Kohner – Nightly

Lamont Kohner

“Nightly”

Lamont Kohner once again graces our catalog with NIGHTLY, another two-track single of oil-slicked techno chug and abandoned factory-floor bass. Backed with CHROMATOSE, these two cuts once again assert that Kohner has the hands of an old master, dominating a dancefloor while remaining just elusive enough to continually reveal hidden peaks and valleys inside the wash of low end and nightlife neon. NIGHTLY recalls a bit of Rhythm & Sound / Main Street classic dub thump before getting impatient and riding some cymbal over a slo-mo house kick and clap. CHROMATOSE spaces out the space even more, with a distant woodblock that could just as easily be heard through a wet drain coming up from a standpipe, and chords doubling the claps that remind us a little of classic Kompakt schaffel and Speicher barnburners. Just a drop on the tongue, you wouldn’t dare take any more of this into your system!
