about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.

“dark inner aspects of toddy drinking”

This is the second part of selected older works. “Dark inner aspects of toddy drinking” contains a collection of dark pieces that develop a suction effect due to their great density, at least if you listen to them appropriately loud or with headphones, and come from a phase of Svanns life that he only remembers darkly.

“Meine liebsten Lieder und Gesänge”

“My Favorite Songs and Chants” is a compilation from 2001. The tracks are a selection of analog recordings (pre-laptop) with a trusty Fostex 4-track cassette recorder produced in the bedroom and kitchen.

The equipment is pure 80s and 90s home recording gear. The instruments are among others the two mini sample keyboards Casio SK-1 and Yamaha VSS-30, the synthesizers Casio CZ-5000 (with the terrific sequencer), the two small Casio CZ-101 and Yamaha DX-100, various sound bodies, drums and drum-like, flutes, voice, radio and TV recordings, noises, piano, a monocord, a ukulele, a modified Dynacord Echocord Super S65, two tape machines – an Uher Variocord 236 and an Uher Royal de luxe -, a dictaphone, tube radio, for one piece also an old Atari with Cubase and an ESI 32 were used.

“Where Are The Game Boys? EP”

Wow! I can’t believe this is finally happening! The day of the EP release is upon us! I have been playing around with combining Game Boy sounds with modern styles of electronic dance music since first discovering the LittleSoundDJ software. Suffice to say I have been wanting to create a release in that combination since forever. Over the last two years I have published most of the songs you can hear on this EP on Soundcloud or Bandcamp compilations, however I was never happy with the production quality. So I added new little elements and reworked and freshly mixed every track on this release. I hope you enjoy listening! ~

Special Thanks:
My girlfriend Lisa, Grizzly Cogs, Max F. (R.I.P.), Tronimal (my mentor), Leo (Brudi), Mom, Dad, Miyu, Maxi K., Klirre, Hardcore Softboy, havocCc, a boy with a ballon, Viktor Kraus, Nada, Shortee, Nils, Niels, Dima Chotin, chiplove, A Bit Of Chiptune, MicroMusicItaly, Chipwrecked, Cheers39, Rocket Beans TV, Johan Kotlinski (LittleSoundDJ), Korg Germany, Ableton, Producer Dojo, Youtube Tutorials and the worldwide chiptune community and everyone who supported me on this lovely journey! <3… more

“ramshackle”

cover art by Claus Poulsen
design by EMERGE

ramshackle is an album composed of 6 files, which rises within the avant-garde music, without time or balance. Only the cinematic sound that transports us to the unstable and decrepit world of sounds processed from synthesis by micro-assembly and convolution techniques. In a world in which the technique is tuned by the intermittency and instability in which chaos prevails. Alternated by deep, fruitful and parameterized sounds through the junction and caustic frequencies.
