about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“I Follow”

I follow subtle seismic ambient vibrations that immerse me in a deep state in-between the world of dreams and the dream about distant worlds covered in a fog of colours.

Rhythmic and slow landscapes.

The sound is sometimes described as slow IDM. The distinct feature of the album is that only a few tracks have real drum samples, however, almost all of them are quite rhythmical. Rhythms are created just the way J. M. Jarre did that on “Zoolook” – using weird sounds, pulsing synths, and very clear melodies. Due to the lack of easily recognized drums, the album is sometimes ascribed to ambient, however, I’d call it “seismic ambient”, because of extremely heavy basslines.

Deltahedron

“Generation of Power”

Energy is harnessed from natural elements by the use of power plants and this industrial EP shines a light on the inner workings of such places. Each power plant has a different feel and process but heavy basslines and tight rhythms will ensure a continuous operation.

Number Eleven – Flying Bricks
[EEM029]

Number Eleven

“Flying Bricks”

A stupidly named EP, with unthinkable cover, and idiotic track names.

This EP includes the very first track of Number Eleven. A sandbox where random ideas and experiments merged into incomplete forms while searching for sounds and compositions, which sometimes became source material for new tracks. From this sandbox emerged the first few ideas of the way the first album Indefinable should reach its end, how the Blur should start, and how Protrusion should sound.

GABRIELE RAGONESI – SOME MORE WHITE NOISE

[IYE25]

GABRIELE RAGONESI

“SOME MORE WHITE NOISE”

We are very happy that Gabriele Ragonesi has chosen In Your Ears as a channel to spread his beautiful music freely. Some More White Noise is a compendium of how you can love music and let it flow in the air. Gabriele gives us a disc full of sweetness and fascinating sound solutions. The genres covered are many, from the lounge to the prog, passing through a very personal and strongly evocative solipsistic electronics.
A passion that turns into love, like the beautiful cover of the disc designed by the Brazilian William Santiago, which makes it very clear what you will hear in your ears.
I have been living in Florence since 1987. I started playing the drums as a teenager and played in various Florentine bands, including Essenza, Ellelunga and Miranda, between the 90s and early 2000s, ranging from an anomalous prog rock, the new wave and the post rock. I hung the chopsticks for a few years, starting again to play alone and to devote myself to home recording around 2005, without live activity, which continues today.
The songs produced for Some More White Noise have been composed, recorded and finished in 2017 with vague references, among others, the album “Islands” by King Crimson, the very first fusion, Brian Eno, the Can and the soundtracks of the 60s films, trying to put together a line that was a small journey and an alternation of different emotions and moods.

Noise Ladder

“Miszka”

Noise Ladder is art project created by Nicolas Lafay in 2015. It explores the field of noise music through performances which confront body with technology and cassette records.

The name was inspired by Jacob’s ladder, the famous moog filter technology as well the chimney sweeps.

Ministik – Meridian

Ministik – Meridian
[EEM027]

Ministik

“Meridian”

Maximal techno and beyond. Filled with polyrhythmic melodies and offscale sounds, precisely controlled bass-lines, massive kicks and sharp percussions.

Scratchy analog electronic ruminations from a quiet veteran Ministik, that ebb and flow like natural processes of evolution, growth or/and decay.

Perception and alienation, with (re)use of techniques, sources, and designs are the main features in his work expressing the world as the artist sees it.

Strange shifting rhythms, finely shaped clouds of noise, and distant techno patterns. Ministik is not a normal DJ. This craftsman will invite you to lose yourself in the depths of the abstract sounds and surreal melodies on concrete based drum patterns.

Number Eleven – Strict

Number Eleven – Strict
[EEM025]

Number Eleven

“Strict”

Damaged with disorders, constant reconstructions, and wrong decisions, while losing the ability to dictate your own rules, Strict falls into a state of attacking everything that could lead to a failure, introducing a crude self-defense mechanism of attacking everything that is interfering with principles of existence. All this has the potential of destroying all bonds and connections, dismissing the opportunities, just to find the cause of disorders, ripping every reason of existence just to have an answer.

Regained, recuperated anger and blasts combined with illogical analytic attacks, resulting in a powerful complex forge of rhythmic structures which are hard to stand and fathom, coupled with the angry synthesis of orchestral and electronic surges of extreme insanity and sadness put at the precision of a scalpel.

ref/inter

“/inter”

/inter is an album based on a certain visuality of sound. It has various sounds in it (field recordings, instrument samples, pure frequencies, and glitch/feedback noise), however, the core of this album was an experiment – an analog connection of sound and image. By sending a sound signal to a screen in such a way as if it were visual information the screens started to show imagery and by testing four different approaches towards using sound and testing how they look in this particular connection /inter was formed.

No(Spin) – From the vaults

No(Spin) – From the vaults
[EEM023]

No(Spin)

“From the vaults”

Hard and fast breaks will drive your mind insane in this new release by hardcore/drumandbass/crossbreed producer No(Spin).

The album is dark and intense, however, there are some bright melodies, and all the rhythms are clear and well structured.

No(Spin) had a long journey through various styles starting from metal, through trip-hop, drum and bass and finally arriving at those hard sounds he’s currently known. As the artist tells himself: “Now everything is mixed in a sick way of harmonic disaster, main tunes correspond with each other in a fashion of spoken words of a tale – a whole tale of everyday-life sickness, love and carnage.”

Alex Mason & The Minor Emotion

“Soul Breaker”

Contemporary classical music album by Russian projects Alex Mason and The Minor Emotion in collaboration. Music that can stop the heart. Music that evokes the most painful memories, the nostalgia of unimaginable power in that place, at that time, over that man. Music that will stir up something in the depths of the soul, in its very darkness, something that can not even be imagined.

Hypercube – Genetic Transplant

Hypercube – Genetic Transplant
[EEM022]

Hypercube

“Genetic Transplant”

Genetic Transplant album by Hypercube can be described as an inner journey into osmotic abstract ambient defining the space over post-humanity evaporated circuits and multi dimensional genetic modified patterns, a way to explore unpredictable forms and intramural visions in relation to life and extinct systems.

The resulting music does at times resemble anxious rhythms and complex configurations of tranquillized expressions.

Number Eleven – Autism

Number Eleven – Autism
[EEM020]

Number Eleven

“Autism”

Autism enters a cold, self-satisfactory state of no response to any attempt to contact, trying to believe there is no possibility for communication. The idea is progressing with a wrong assumption that mute doesn’t mean nonexistent, relying on Autistic thinking, assuming as if it is immune to an emotion. Realizing that it’s wrong leads to a colossal reaction, causing a worsening of the state of existing disorders to a complete malfunction of the whole thinking structure.

Structurally difficult and non-paced attacking rhythms, getting more complex and running from rules dictated by background structures, while those rules fading away, anxious melodies which are trying to compensate the constant urge to lose the control of composition.

“Maddest Sanity”

What happens when a human being spends his whole life in a cave without contact to the outer world and after going out the first thing he does is music? Something like this album happens. It’s mad because beats and melodies are mad – one moment they are drifting far away like a foggy dream, the next moment they are coming back and walk towards you on their massive wolfram pillars. But they’re sane because everything is well structured. Even the seemingly insane rhythmic structures of Innner Peece are quite simple at heart.

Isn’t it too simple? Made with a 10 year old software from basic 10 year old samples? Consider it like a fossil from times when the Matrix was still something new and sensational, and everyone was still listening to trance, not psytrance – the original trance. Like a can with a sample of air conserved with those moments.

Every track is a separate composition, every track has its own unique sound and mood, consider this album a compilation of 10 different stories. And even more – each of them has its own hand-drawn artwork which also is an anachronism in this computer graphic ruled world. Artworks are like impressions that pop into an abstract mind after listening to the sounds.

Split album “Deformation” consists of two “bonus” tracks, which were conceptually dropped from the current project material [mikra] and Izvнe. It turned out that the split all began to sound harmoniously and acquired its completeness.

Sinage

“Labirintas”

One continuous musical journey through Endless City, a dark and twisted place, where thinking differently is considered a Sin. Underneath it all lies a massive labyrinth – the only way to change anything in this world. Find the exit and change the world. If you dare.

Here you will hear aggressive rave beats, distorted synths and other electronic lo-fi sounds, mixed with some vocals here and there – music that will make you wanna lose your mind!

“Machine Learning”

We all hear that machines and AI are going to surpass us soon, but for the time being they have a lot to learn from the meatbags still in control.

This bass heavy, experimental EP of techno-ish trap-like beats presents the process of machine learning in one particular specimen.

Tracks to the album ‘Journey’ were created each as a small story, without a monotonous oomth-oonth-oomth, so they do not tire and will not put you to sleep on the road. Pleasant listening and all – passing wave :)”

[PZO008]

Eugen Bäcker

“Fimfewurdan”

The album is based on five melodic idioms. As any other repeated action their frequency occurs neither with monotony nor with irreflection but with a kind of advertence. This frequency gradually organizes all structures of consciousness, giving birth to genuine contemplation. ‘however, I desire to speak five words with my mind so that I may instruct others also, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue’ (1 Cor. 14:19).
