Smooth Genestar – As if music would not be a message
Ladies & Gentlemen,

as if music would not be a message – We are very sure you know that and will listen. Music, no matter what musical genre you prefer, is always a message – and a language, spoken and understood by all.

Dear music lovers, Smooth Genestar did it again. Nearly 6 years passed since the release of his last album, and so he felt it has become time to cook some new, delicious groove snacks for you.

Within the last 18 months, he worked on a lot of tracks, all of them handcrafted for you with love. He worked obsessed on every little detail and every little feature, of course always with a subtle portion of humor, as you may notice on the one or other title of the tracks.

What can you expect from this brandnew release? Well, a handpicked choice of 22 tracks out of 30 tracks he has produced within the last 18 months. So, get ready for 4 hours and 3 minutes of deep, groovy, melancholic and tasty flavoured Downbeat, Lounge, NuHazz, TripHop and Chillout tunes – spiced with a good portion of retro flavours and deepness.

For that, he did some serious musical research and work to create authentic beatz, deep and rolling basslines and, of course, jazzy chords and dusty, livind pads and background atmospheres. Most of the musical spices is played and recorded live to keep the human touch.

Overall, you can say, his goal was to serve great tracks for your perfect or even unperfect moments. These 22 tracks will fit nearly all of your moods. May it be as background music while sitting with people you love, for doing your studies, for your way home after a hard day on work, for driving at night, for dreaming or just for your new years day chill out session.

Have a nice christmas and a happy new year!

And now… get into the tunez and enjoy the music!

With best wishes from germany,
CYAN

Smooth Genestar dedicates this music in love to Zeynep.

In addition, he pays tribute to Mr. Paul Hardcastle, a man and musician who influenced him absolutely most with his musically smoothness. Thank you for this kind of gentle smoothness!

AR.MA. – Trees and Dew

The forest and water spirits in concert,
glowing, ringing, vibrating,
the rhythm of the wilderness emerges.

The forest scientist Peter Wohlleben has observed, that trees and plants are communicating to each other thanks to the complex mycorrhizal networks.

The album is a contemplation on flora. Its music is a result of hours of walking, exploring and recording electrical impulses found in the wilderness. These impulses, emitted by trees, fungi, grass and bushes, were converted to MIDI signals and fed to various electronic instruments. Almost sixty percent of this record was co-composed and created by riverside vegetation. In addition, all the instruments were tuned to various subsets of the harmonic series.

Recorded and produced in 2024, Warsaw, Poland.

Keywords: experimental, dark, cinematic ambients, mysterious spheres, sensitive, hifi, mysterious, minimalism, sound art, dreamy, mycorrhizal networks, album, mp3, flac, wav, Poland, Europe, Warsaw, 2025

The Third Policeman was recorded live, without any overdubs, using computer, MIDI keyboard, and controller / 2025.

The album is a subtle allusion to Flann O’Brien’s absurdist novel The Third Policeman, reflecting its surreal and enigmatic atmosphere through sound.

Beware the Gremlins – creeping from the shadows of your mind, twisting knobs in the subconscious, and short-circuiting expectations. BRNT delivers a deep, progressive trip laced with psychedelic tension and cinematic textures. Each track buzzes with mischievous energy, engineered to haunt dancefloors and headphones alike. Polish master CJ Art jumps in with a remix that pushes the paranoia further – dark, driving and hypnotic. Plug in. Stay wired. The Gremlins are here.

dESUS – Pomalo
In a fog-drenched city, “POMALO” echoed through abandoned warehouses and midnight alleys. dESUS had woven roots and rhythm into steel and smoke — dubtechno pulsing with heartbeat bass, whispers of ancient drums beneath digital rain. Each track felt like memory reborn: the hum of machines meeting the warmth of earth. People didn’t dance; they drifted — lost between echoes, caught in the timeless loop of roots and reverb. When the last note faded, silence carried the groove, as if the city itself kept breathing POMALO.

“Inside The Rain”

Nigel Sanders – Inside The Rain

The concept of ‘Inside The Rain’ started life with growth and the fragility of life. That space between life and death. The sound of fragility, growth, disintegration and ultimately failure are key to the sonic text of this album.

In terms of instrumentation I had begun to experiment with percussion again as well electronic rhythmic expression set again dark ambient soundscapes. Another significant character of this album was acousmatic masking of instruments evolving them into new sonic entities. Minimalism was also central to these works and focusing on less helped these sound objects breath.

Though all the sound objects were constructed using Apple Logic I still utilised the concepts depicted by Brian ENO of sound painting. Therefore, these works are presented often as in the moment sound collage happenings fused together with different elements to create the whole.

Vejamen is a speech addressed to a person who obtains a university degree. Its first part lists the candidate’s moral, physical, or intellectual defects, and the second part contains an exaggerated praise of his work. Self-invested with the honorary title of noise Feldscher, Uburgrund manufactures this speech (fatrassound) divided into two, following the principle of the Vejamen that becomes by vexation of intent Vexjamen. Recordings in Ubureshti, post-spring 2025.

“Weltraum”

Andreas Davids – Weltraum

released April 6, 2025

Andreas Davids is maybe best known for his electro-industrial project XOTOX with albums released since 1998 gaining quite some attention in his native Germany and around the world. In 2023, for the project’s 25th year anniversary the “Ich Bin Da / Ich Funktioniere” album was released.

On Mahorka Andreas appeared first as one half of the Natura Est dark ambient duo with British electronic producer Tony Young (Autoclav1.1). After their self-titled monolithic debut on Ant-zen in 2018, Mahorka released their “Second” album, a new chapter of colossal, brooding ambient, where light is slowly crushed by shade, within a multi-faceted arena of sound.

In 2020 Andreas Davids released on Mahorka under his real name “7 Jahre vor der Gegenwart” – an emotional rollercoaster running from dark ambient and broken structures to technoid rhythms and sequences, and “Isolation” – his deepest and most personal solo album, also on in a beautiful cassette edition. In 2022 the label also published “Space Ambient Pop”, the genre-defining collaboration album of Andreas Davids + Sven Phalanx, also in cassette edition.

With “Weltraum”, his new solo EP on Mahorka, Andreas Davids deals with one of his favorite motifs: Space. Since his early childhood he has been fascinated by science-fiction and adventures in space, either in books, comics or movies. Somewhere between Ambient, IDM, Berlin School and Electronica, he created a place for the listeners to experience their own adventures.

Created and mastered by Andreas Davids in 2024 at Separate Room, MTH.

sternenspringer

“The deep space”

sternenspringer – The deep space

the soundscapes on “the deep space” are exactly that: deep, vast, immersive. while earlier releases like exoplanet and antipode charted stellar phenomena and inner contrasts, this new work seems to drift further outward — into uncharted dimensions between ambient, industrial atmospheres, intricate electronica, and classic techno/electro motifs. the boundaries dissolve, but the structure remains: each track is a unique constellation, orbiting within a carefully mapped sonic system.
in a time where much of electronic music gravitates toward formula, sternenspringer continue to embrace risk, nuance, and depth. this release is not just another chapter, but a reaffirmation of their commitment to sonic integrity and artistic independence.

and yet another fine tonAtom.net netaudio release.

“The Lipsian Cave”

FAF2 – The Lipsian Cave
In the endless dusk of planet FAF2, The Lipsian Cave hums with low frequencies, echoing ancient rhythms beneath crystalline strata. Formed by sonic erosion, its corridors pulse with dubtechno reverberations—tones not made, but discovered. Seismic basslines sculpt chambers of resonance, each beat shifting tectonic plates of memory and time. No life dwells here, yet the cave listens, records, transforms. A natural archive of vibrations, its atmosphere distorts space, drawing satellites into rhythmic orbit. “The Lipsian Cave” is less a place than a phenomenon—an ambient relic of sound, looping forever, untouched by beings, yet alive with pure frequency and geological groove.

Lindbergh – Loopy

Lindbergh

“Loopy”

Lindbergh – Loopy

In Mr Schulze’s sense, loop is certainly best described as a squiggle (a not exactly drawn ring-shaped curl). Repetition yes, but please with a bump in the wheel! Whether the grooveboxes that were available to Lindbergh for making music in the early 2000s were capable of such inconsistencies remains to be seen. Either way, the songs on “Loopy” fully live up to the album title.

The album is released approximately 20 years after the creation of the songs on it, which until then had only been released as singles or not at all. The music offers a glimpse into a time when electronic music was reinventing itself by merging with indie. A wonderful new experimental field emerged between synthesisers and computers on the one hand and convoluted bands with guitar, drums, and bass, in which the perfect artificial sounds of the machines often blended with human-generated sounds that expressed lovingly cultivated musical inadequacies. And Lindbergh possessed precisely this charm!

Oh yes, Lindbergh is, of course, pop music too! Songs like Mango, Über Milch, and Im Zug nach B, which speak of a life somewhere between shared accommodation, the unbearable lightness of existence, and all-nighters, have the potential to become indie disco hits. And only Mr. Schulze knows why they failed to achieve great success …
