about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Pk Jazz Collective

“Analog”

M.V.A – A Tribute Ting

M.V.A – A Tribute Ting
[BSMX0185]

M.V.A

“A Tribute Ting”

Back in 2008 we released netBloc Vol. 14, as always that compilation was packed with incredible Creative Commons licensed music. Closing it out was Time (Reprise) (Closing Credits), a terrific track by UK artist Virtu-oso. That was the first time we were introduced to the sonic workmanship of that artist. However, it was not the last.

V-Man also remixed songs for a couple blocSonic artists over the years. First, he remixed Badluck’s Case Closed from the maxBloc single of the same name and then he remixed Friends or Whatever’s The Burns We Earn also found on the maxBloc single of the same name.

All of that happened in 2011 and earlier… so what’s he done since you ask? Well, he went on to continue doing solo and collaborative projects as well as remixing for independent UK artists. He also notably produced Homeboy Sandman’s Earth, Wind, Fire, Water from the 2016 Stones Throw Records album Kindness For Weakness and had one of his songs featured on Series 6 of the BBC’s sitcom, Ideal.

Today we’re thrilled to say that he formally arrives at blocSonic with his own project. A personal one that’s sort of a thank you / tribute to friends and music artists that have held him down and inspired him over the years. After all these years, it’s great to be able to release this and welcome him to the blocSonic team!

Yo M.V.A… it’s crazy dope to FINALLY have you on board here at the bloc! Welcome to the fam! Keep the music coming.

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

Unknown Concept

“Enigma EP”

Digital Diamonds proudly presents Unknown Concept’s (AU) debut release. Enigma EP is strikingly exciting in its chunky production, which creates anticipation through seamless composition and layering. From start to finish it doesn’t let up, consistently delivering a big room techno sound that meets a progressive, voyage experience. Your senses will be summoned by laser beam synthesis, dark and stormy effects, forceful bass lines and witty, call and response melodies. We foresee big things to come from this Aussie underdog and his stylish sound. Upon listening a deeper trance will ensue.

Artem Bemba – Agalma

Artem Bemba – Agalma
[SCL202]

Artem Bemba

“Agalma”

Natura Est – Second

Natura Est – Second
[mhrk222]

Natura Est

“Second”

Created for a love of all that is Dark Ambient, British Electronic producer Tony Young (Autoclav1.1) and German Industrial/Noise powerhouse Andreas Davids (xotox); first bore fruits of their labour, with their self-titled, monolithic debut in 2018.

2019, continues the story with “Second”. A new chapter of colossal, brooding ambient; where light is slowly crushed by shade, within a multi-faceted arena of sound.

From the nightmarish journey through dying forests and the ruined vestiges of humanity depicted in their debut; the path now leads across desolate moorland and hilltops to the coast. The sea levels are now rising; and we have to face the inevitable, that all will be consumed.

Once more, Natura Est have produced an album that stands tall within the genre; holding an aural mirror to the world, provoking one question. Nature is all, all is nature; but who really is the beast?

A.Moss – NOBADMON

A.Moss

“NOBADMON”

Yo… get ready… heads are about to be put on to something ILL! Today we drop one more fortyFive by A.Moss before the release of his incredible new EP, Gravel King on July 19th. Side A is a brand new mix of NOBADMON, a MUST HEAR track originally released a few years ago on soundcloud… pure fire. I was a fan of A DOT before he dropped this, but IMO, this one set him apart as a truly versatile EMCEE. Side B is a brand new joint recorded especially for inclusion on one of his fortFives and here we go! For this one, the blocSonic crew pulled out all the stops and made something special happen. Featuring Donnie Ozone, CM aka Creative, Marcus J(sadly, his final recorded verse), C-Doc, cheese, Pot-C and BadluckPosse On Bloc is some of that ol’ BOOM BAP shit. As the name suggests it’s a classic posse cut in the spirit of Marley Marl’sThe Symphony. Five minutes and fifty-one seconds of back to back lyrical skill from a few of blocSonic’s talented squad of MCs. Enjoy.

Mega thanks goes out to A.Moss, C-Doc and the rest of the blocSonic crew! Rest in Power, Marcus J… so glad that you could be part of Posse On Bloc and deliver one of your dopest verses!

Dub Cmd & SistaSara – Deeper Understanding

Dub Cmd & SistaSara – Deeper Understanding
[DPH040]

Dub Cmd & SistaSara

“Deeper Understanding”

This EP is a true child of Dubophonic Records. Both artists released earlier this year their own musical works on the label: SistaSara’s Space Stepper and Dub Cmd’s Moonsteppa. The admiration of each other’s music led to their first collaboration … and they are both working on some more tunes, since SistaSara will be giving a word and a voice on some tracks on Dub Cmd’s upcoming album in 2020.

“Show appreciation, let it glow
Daily introspection, let it flow

Light for every nation you will see
Consciousness expanding
Deeper understanding

Let everyone know life is worth so much more
And the blessings can reveal that for sure
May everyone know life is worth so much more
And the blessings can reveal that for sure

Eventually light will shine on again
Humankind rebirth / Soul-search on earth
Let everyone know life is worth so much more
And the blessings can reveal that for sure”

Podarces – Frozen Journeys

Podarces – Frozen Journeys
[Eg0_214]

Podarces

“Frozen Journeys”

Under the Podarces pseudonym Benoît Rouits (who also plays oboe in Jukpic ) creates experimental improvised music with keyboards. Last year he made us discover one of his old works : “A Frozen Journey”, made in 2009 with virtual synthesizers and inspired by some writings of Philip K. Dick. We enjoyed this album a lot and although it undoubtedly stands on its own we felt its minimalist abstraction could make it a very interesting material to incorporate in new works. We made this suggestion to Benoît and some other collaborators and aquaintances who agreed and accepted to contribute remixes of what is now called “Frozen Journeys”, featuring the original tracks as well as remixes by Humanfobia, Human Koala, Nina Kardec, Anastatsia Vronski, Kecap Tuyul, Nicolas Tourney, Sig Valax, Filmy Ghost, Yann Pillas, Thomas Park, Luciftias, Doedelzak.
