about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“Smailin Ca(r)Ma”

At first the name of this album was Planet B.
These ten short tracks were recorded during the first lockdown and I was imagining music for an alternate planet.
Day after day, however, I realized that this music was born spontaneously to react to the suffering of a separation, my separation.
This music is also perfect for doing daily meditative postural gymnastics exercises. Each track corresponds to an exercise, for a total of ten exercises and twenty minutes of reflection and meditation.

José Gallardo A – Diario de una depresión

José Gallardo A – Diario de una depresión
[pn178]

José Gallardo A

“Diario de una depresión”

Listening to the recent work by José Gallardo is an experience that voids any interruptions and defines its own place.

Everything starts with pulses that resonate at low loudness and frequencies, which peek out from the environment. As time passes, they flatten out until they form a sound background that appears for moments like a figure broken up into accents. Slowly we enter into the trance of a phrase to mutate the idea and the state, all in a slow and fractional way. This step becomes evident when appearing in the center of a new tale.

When sound is clearer and calmerthrough inflections towards distortion, static and noise produced by saturation are integrated as rougher textures that outline part of the limits of each volume.

In “Diario de una depression” (“Diary of a depression”) the musical matter is located between the electric guitar melody and the effects mass, which runs on an independent timeline. These are the two most identifiable layers that structure the total of this work;however, its greatest virtue is not in what is perceived in an apparent way, but in the resonances with which a dialogue is established when listening to it again.

Fernando Bocadillos

“A Day at the Sound Market”

Iniciando 2021 con un lanzamiento muy especial. ♥

Earth.Water”

After a few years of absence, Luís Antero returns to MiMi Records with another field recording record. “Sound. Earth. Water.” is the main theme that served as the soundtrack for the film made in 2020.

Quoting Carlos Alberto Augusto: “Life, the sounds of life, mark the soundscape. As long as there is life, there is sound.”

A 15 minutes track where we connect to Earth through field recordings by Luís Antero and the mastery with which he manipulates the sounds of Nature.

This is the sound of the Earth that we step on, that we feel, that we live, that we long for … This is the primordial element of the landscape, the sound. And the sound is life.

DR – Matrjoschka

DR – Matrjoschka

DR

“Matrjoschka”

DR (Dominic Razlaff) is a sound artist from Germany. He uses synthesizers, acoustic instruments (Ukulele, Cavaquinho, Guitar), field recordings, tape loops and granular synthesis to create soaked in melancholy ambient / drone soundscapes.

A bit after debuting on Mahorka with his highly acclaimed collaboration album with Blanket Swimming (“The Lightning Gallery”) he found an old sketch, unfinished Ukulele piece, which was a little bit boring recording, but had something special to it. Out of it he made some tape loops (with a Fostex x-15) to see what can come out and really liked the results. From these tape loops the three “Matrjoschka” compositions were finished. The release title comes from the “matrjoschkas” that have been around him in his living room, the only decoration that links to his ancestry from his father’s side, born and growing up in east Europe and central Asia.

das_synthikat

“dystopia is fun 2.0”

iGL & Alecho – From A Droplet

iGL & Alecho – From A Droplet
[DPH046]

iGL & Alecho

“From A Droplet”

iGL & ALECHO is an electronic music project from Athens, Greece, consisting of Konstantinos & Alexandra. The duo made its first appearance on Dubophonic Records during its live session at the Lockdown Online Festival, while their track “Time Capsule” was included in the compilation “Explorations In Dub / Lockdown dub” in year 2020.

“From A Droplet” is their debut album release. It is the story of a small atomic structure and ITS journey to the stars. So significant was this molecule’s appearance it would change worlds and be the matrix of life on this planet. It is a conceptual dub album revolving around the journey of life, from the water to the stars, as it is described through the titles of the tracks, but also through the inspiring artwork. A special moment in the album is the track “Limbs”, which includes a melody from Barrington Levy’s “Shine eye Girl”, which is completely reworked. We have also included as a bonus a special remix by Indamouse.

“Grand Chien Sombre”
