Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Listening Satellites

“Everything is a Glitch “

Listening Satellites appears as Guest artist this time with a small four track EP called ‘Everything is a Glitch’. Lots of oldskool sounds and beats and melodies, with modern inspirations.

The name of the music stays the same over the years but the feel and construction evolves and this EP is a good example of todays vibe reflected in retro sounds. Mellow, Air-esque basslines, Sven Vath inspired beats, ambient pads. Dreamy.

Warrego Valles – Botox

Warrego Valles – Botox

Warrego Valles

“Botox “

Stylistically, the music on Botox – a debut full length for Warrego Valles – seems to draw influences from a deep underground electronic dance music, but it is based on its contemporary deconstruction, which results in a dark minimalist abstract post-genre electro and glitchy sonic landscapes. The album’s thematic undercurrents tell a story about the present times: ephemerality of all action and destruction of the planet due to climate change and slavery. A grim vision of a world ruled by psychopaths driven by the will to control, greed and domination.

“How else can the drive for immortality be manifest than as an unstoppable exploitation, an endless extraction of resources, a seemingly limitless growth on a finite planet? In a dystopian post-apocalyptic vision called forth into the present in these abstract sounds with words buried in sombre electronic beats and glitches, there’s no sign of mankind after we’ve lost the red sun, our land and sky. We are loosing and destroying our environment. We are fostering more slavery than ever by refusing immigrants, stuffing them in camps and treating them like animals. In these relationships, humanity is lost while feelings of abandonment, defeat and solitude grow within the personal realm.
Underpinning these tracks is a grim vision of the world ruled by psychopaths, driven by a will to overpower and dominate. Only through submission of one’s own body (and mind) will it be possible to find »success«. The greed, the insensitivity, the lust for profit and power, the ability to kneel and to kill.” — extract from liner notes

Tedium Swing – Reflection

Tedium Swing – Reflection
[WAC07]

Tedium Swing

“Reflection”

Basic Elements

Basic Elements is a renaissance person when it comes to electronic music. For this release he has turned his attention to Electro music. Electronic Landscapes has a decided slant towards Science Fiction. He also manages to work in some references to Berlin School and post Berlin School electronic music to pay homage to electronic music masters, and the master of science fiction.

Pim (Pim van Dorst, aka Basic Elements) has been into a wide array of music from Berlin School Electronic, to hard rock, punk and new beat. He plays drums, piano, a bit of acoustic guitar. Basic Elements

“Drum And Bones”

Basic Elements is back on CerebralAudio with Drum and Bones. The first drum and bass style electronica release on CerebralAudio. It seems that Basic Elements is set on making as many firsts on CererbralAudio as he can, and we approve!

With this release he set out to produce an old school DnB release, harking back to the roots of Jungle music and the influences of producers like LTJ Bukem, Nightmares On Wax and The Prodigy. Breakbeats and Amen break inspired rhythms are the core of this release.

But it is much more. It is a listening experience: you will listen to from start to finish, and add to your playlist. There is not a weak track on this release. Bit this is the way Pim van Dorst works as Basic Elements, if he isn’t satisfied that his music can be listened to from start to finish, he won’t release it. He is a perfectionist, and it shows in his music.

This is a recommended headphone listening release for all lover of DnB and Jungle music styles!

Música Inmobiliaria – Dance

Música Inmobiliaria – Dance
[pn122]

Música Inmobiliaria

“Dance”

“‘Dance’ is almost as old as man on earth. The fetus kicks the belly of its mother with rhythm. Sweet woddles to the meter of the music with the first steps. School partie include typical dances. From child to the older adult, everyone is dancing.

It is in these terms that I understand Música Inmobiliaria’s work – parallel project of José Gallardo -, titled ‘Dance’, as part of human reality, ‘Who could say that they have never danced?’

Now, the currents of dance music are extensive and for all tastes. What summons us is electronic. A rich sound of featuring classic analog sounds, old-fashioned electro along with vocoder, there is glitch, synthesized strings pads, powerful sinusoidal basses, in sawtooth and squares, TR-808 sound and a robotic voice that says ‘I want to dance’… Why not do it? It even has a rumba to Jean Michel closing the album to enthuse you.

An album with taste and flavor, with textures that, in an imaginative way, present us with a different, experimental and successful dance music. All in good time with Música Inmobiliaria.”

Ffiper – VESNA

Ffiper – VESNA
[SCL192]

Ffiper

“VESNA”

Tetarise

“Playing in the Glow”

Once again, as part of the Christmas releases for 2016, Tetarise makes a welcome return to Kahvi! It’s hard to believe that it was a year ago since the last Tetarise release, but he’s back with a five track EP entitled ‘Playing in the Glow’, which contains his usual flare for production and style (with perhaps a touch of Russian industrialism?)

As his previous releases, we’ve got epic and powerful beats, mixed with deep trance and ambient leads. Feel good tracks for the season!

Erich Schall – SONDE

Erich Schall – SONDE
[wuerfel 20]

Erich Schall

“SONDE”

Guerra & Rammsy – Torque EP

Guerra & Rammsy – Torque EP
[pn106]

Guerra & Rammsy

“Torque EP”

Torque EP is the Pueblo Nuevo debut of the Chilean duo Guerra & Rammsy (Álvaro Guerra and Rodrigo Rammsy), renowned musicians and producers from the Santiago rock and electronica scene.

In a little more than 20 minutes and three tracks they take us on a danceable tour with a clear timbral influence in the rhythmic base of a more “classic” cut, this in the still young universe of electronic music, but to advance the disc leaves everything gradually entering a kind of sound tunnel, with some solid bass lines that seem carried from the underworld, to these they add, in a very subtle way, perplexing “pads” and arpeggios that enrich the harmonic palette, carrying us to risky sound moments, which arrive (commonly) to be distant to the style. And I think that’s what I like about Torque EP: that impression that seems at first like everything will go as it should be, but very subtly, without abusing typical resources such as excessive “reverbs” or “delays”, they go placing you in this sound maze and they leave you without an exit, unless you realize and unless you stop dancing.

Very good disc of Guerra & Rammsy, to go losing yourself dancing, without fear.

Francisco Pinto – Retarded

Francisco Pinto – Retarded
[pn105]

Francisco Pinto

“Retarded”

“Francisco Pinto returns to the tracks with “Retarded“, a more defined, more pop, more danceable work, suitable for all music lovers who enjoy quality pop made in Chile.

A flashback to the 80’s with sounds full of synths, highly sticky melodies like in “Los sueños (the dreams)”, with the collaboration of singer Fakuta, or “Mil Noches” (Thousad Nights), with the participation of Elisita Punto (MKRNI), Javier Barría, Diego Ridolfi and La Entrópica.

Faithfully following the national electro pop scene that characterizes us so much, Francisco Pinto manages to find his space with a sound more envelopving , taking us on this journey that we are looking for so often when playing a disc, tracks like “Time to Time”, “Spring Boy” are examples of this.

As a versatile disc, pop, retro, spaciality, and elegance are all elements that make up the formula which after long years Francisco Pinto utilized in his new work, which will surprise more than a few.”

Fernanda Arrau
DJ, Productora / DJ, Producer.
(Santiago, Chile, Abril / April 2016)

“Nearly eight years have passed since the launch of “Boo Boo“, the previous disc of Francisco Pinto. And though that may not mean much in more purist genres, in electronica and on the dance floor it’s an eternity. In 2008, Pinto fit perfectly with the trend of the time, which was looking with admiration to the time that disco music turned from the orchestras to the synthesizers, without losing the sense of melody, the chorus, and the hooks. On this path singer / composers as diverse as Fakuta and Javier Barría accompanied him.

Jump to 2016 and many of his local colleagues, and those around the world, have drifted away from melodies to emphasize the rhythmic or the atmospheric, through concise and reduced releases, born of the times. Because of this, Retarded, Pinto’s new album, seems a strong declaration of principles. It not only has 14 songs – longer than even many LPs of today, but it also does not move the focus a single millimeter from his need for melodic expression, no matter what happens with the rest.

Still more people accompany him here: in addition to the same Fakuta and Barría, other names appear from the local pop scene like Elisita Punto (the voice of MKRNI), Deplasticoverde and La Entrópica. He accompanies himself, either with his own voice or through a vocoder as well. In sound, the references remain in the period between 1975 and 1985: space disco and synth pop. Music that can function as much on the dance floor as at home, a task that much electronic music not only fails to seek, but which it could hardly achieve.

Retarded is a timeless and effective album.”
