about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Special Request – Zero Fucks

Special Request – Zero Fucks

Special Request

“Zero Fucks”

Special Request drops the fourth and final album of 2019. Concentrating purely on the heavyweight original hardcore ethos of taking whatever you want from anywhere, these tracks are made for shelling down dances and losing your marbles.

Those who have been paying close attention will recognise the face-melting drum treatments from those instagram clips, constructed using purpose-built equipment and a healthy amount of irreverence.

Elsewhere we find clock mechanisms worked into the layers of various tracks, the voices of Francis Bacon, David Lynch and others & eventually one such clock speeding up to oblivion, merely hinting at where Special Request is taking you next…

Vinyl editions to follow in 2020 and will be released and deleted on the same day. Pay 0.00 for these downloads. Enjoy life.

A Hundred Drums – A Hundred Drums

A Hundred Drums – A Hundred Drums

A Hundred Drums

“A Hundred Drums”

Denver-based producer A Hundred Drums demonstrates her wide array of instrumental talents and genre diversity on her self-titled album, available this Valentine’s Day on Gravitas Recordings. Sitting comfortably at seven tracks, this album is Gabrielle Watson’s most ambitious project to date.

Detouring from the deep dubstep sounds that first made a splash in the scene, Watson uses A Hundred Drums to create her own sound and break away from familiarity by showcasing her vast musical influences.

The Valentine’s Day release date and self-titled album is a symbol of what A Hundred Drums intends to accomplish: “A Hundred” was chosen for its spiritual and societal primacy, and “Drums” call our hearts to beat in sync. A Hundred Drums aspires to align all listeners’ heartbeats to her BPM, unifying us all in the music. We beat with one collective heart on the day celebrating love.

A tribute to her passion project, “Shakti Sound” sets listeners on a globetrotting journey into mysterious and minimalistic 808s. A Hundred Drums puts a spotlight on her signature hand drums in “Circles,” which blend in an abstract, downtempo experimental soundscape before James Xavier sings of a wicked flame. Dashing down the dark road, A Hundred Drums tells the haunted tale of the “Boogie Man,” slicing through inky blackness with an eerie bassline and haunting whispers.

“Psy.Area” incorporates cascading psytrance as liquid bass is gradually dripped onto the track. Featuring A Hundred Drums’s first official collaboration with fellow Denver artist, Templo, “Apex” rides the wave through a cave of deep dub and metallic beats. Vibe Emissions “Circles” back to offer an energizing remix of the aforementioned song, incorporating various deep dubstep rhythms and textures. Legendary producer Leon Switch remixes “Lord of Tings,” released originally by Heavy Traffic Recordings and featuring Jayne Gray, into a seductive stupor, closing out A Hundred Drums’s self-titled album in a state of bliss.

[KOF #335]

Various Artist

“Super Duper Digi-Punk Split Vol.5: Breakcore Edition”

This is the fifth Volume in the Super Duper Digi-Punk Split series. Eight tracks from seven artists whose work we have incredible respect for! All with very different approaches to the genre. All bringing something unique and important to the table.

This is our third release with Lil Kevo 303. Kevo loves living in Boston, making breakcore, spinning DnB, and selling high quality ice-cream.

Hitori Tori and RiDylan play an enormous role in the Vancouver electro scene. They are both incredibly talented braindance bad boys and we are beyond lucky to live in the same city as them.

Minogame is a pianist and breakcore producer from Colorado who runs one of our all time favourite labels, Bijou Bay.

Bethas from Finland provides us with two tracks that are wildly unique, haunting, and emotional.

Breakbeat Heartbeat is a chiptune / breakcore producer from the UK boasting a gorgeous catalogue of releases worth digging through.

yoxteller from Japan ends this release by absolutely burning it to the ground. Lootcanal (who is hands down the most powerful DJ in the world) brought him over from Japan to play a show and it was one of the best sets we have ever witnessed.

Molez – One Remark

Molez – One Remark

Molez

“One Remark”

After years of experimenting with generative sounds, sonificated timbre, unusual percussion and unique atmosphere, Molez made a backtrack to his musical roots with “One Remark“. He crossed his 2 favorite styles: techstep drum&bass and glitch-hop, trying to put sci-fi nature into a slower tempo but still maintaining the energy of the dancefloor.

No(Spin) – Whispers

No(Spin) – Whispers
[EEM049]

No(Spin)

“Whispers”

Sometimes it’s better to just listen to your inner self. That’s what this album is about: pure primitive emotions with zero sugar coating.

From the first day of DJ-ing every tune was getting heavier and darker, darker and heavier until the drum and bass became crossbreed, crossbreed became hardcore. Now everything is mixed in a sick way of harmonic disaster, main tunes correspond with each other in a fashion of spoken words of a tale – a whole tale of everyday-life sickness, love and carnage.

Number Eleven – Event

Number Eleven – Event
[EEM039]

Number Eleven

“Event”

Complex rhythmic combinations, constantly getting faster to the point of losing the structure and becoming a vast halo of drum-like noise tearing the last orchestral sounds, that couldn’t get ready for an end of a process that didn’t even start, and hopeless melodies that aren’t sure if they are supposed to exist.

Having difficulties to cope with worsening states of disorders, Event leaps to search for an answer by removing the definitions completely and allowing to make connections again, to feel attached to things that were once familiar and welcoming. Knowing that this way of searching for the source of the disorders will lead to a failure, by not being able to relate to those things, renders them strange, wiping all of them away. But one of those gets stuck, resisting to go away and holding everything together. The Event leads itself to disengage from everything that could be described with a definition.

[TERR104]

Giant Gutter From Outer Space

“Charred Memories “

TERR104: The drums-and-bass duo Giant Gutter From Outer Space are back here to tell what’s what with a 6-track ball of fire inspired by suppressed traumas of those affected by the authoritarianism and brutalities committed by the Brazilian State – particularly in the 60’s-80’s.

Recorded in late 2017, the duo broaden their pioneering sound with bits from modular synthesizer territory, courtesy of Curitiba black metal artist Nahtaivel. “Charred Memories” is presented on Terranean Recordings with an exclusive battered mix and graphic design by Luke Lund.

This is a co-release between Sinewave, HNM and MuteAnt Sounds. The original mix is available from them.

No(Spin)

“From the vaults”

Hard and fast breaks will drive your mind insane in this new release by hardcore/drumandbass/crossbreed producer No(Spin).

The album is dark and intense, however, there are some bright melodies, and all the rhythms are clear and well structured.

No(Spin) had a long journey through various styles starting from metal, through trip-hop, drum and bass and finally arriving at those hard sounds he’s currently known. As the artist tells himself: “Now everything is mixed in a sick way of harmonic disaster, main tunes correspond with each other in a fashion of spoken words of a tale – a whole tale of everyday-life sickness, love and carnage.”
