about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

I Neurologici, Ras Moray, Shiny D, Jobba – Unity Riddim

[SDR030]

I Neurologici, Ras Moray, Shiny D, Jobba

“Unity Riddim”

Despite Strato Dischi Notlabel has currently no facility, we do not miss our monthly appointment with Riddim To Riddim.
This is the month of Unity Riddim, in this historical moment that instead brings to light division and social fragmentation.
The first interpretation is Ras Moray. A new mix of this song from his album Out of City and closely linked to the Youth Art Center, a project that the Kenyan artist is funding with its sales.
Following, Shiny D, again with us this time with an organ performance that bears witness to his skills and his deep knowledge of the genre.
Jobba’s vocal track is a new mix of the 7 ” published by Real Rock at the end of 2015 and inspired by the Voice Of The People Sound System’s experience.
The more purely “neurological” version is dominated by the solo guitar of Matteo Minetti, always guitarist and one of the founders of the roman dub collective

I Neurologici, Jobba, Ras Moray, Shiny D – Nuova Resistenza Riddim

[SDR029]

I Neurologici, Jobba, Ras Moray, Shiny D

“Nuova Resistenza Riddim”

The month of April could only be represented by this riddim, which despite being included in the 2009 album “In Dub Vol.2”, continues to inspire soloists and our friend Andrea Real Rock, who has always believed in its strength so much that he printed the Jobba’s interpretation “Stronger Than Them” on vinyl in December of 2015. A new mix of this track opens this fourth round with Riddim To Riddim by I Neurologici.
Following another Ras Moray poetry, from his album “Out Of City” and even this one with a new mix for the occasion.
The third track is shared by two wind instruments: a zampogna by Alessandro Mazziotti, one of the founders of the roman dub collective and a melodica by Shiny D, active for many years as a musician in the ranks of different formations in the roman reggae scene, today at his debut with his own project Seal’d In Vain.
As always the riddim closes the playlist, to be used by anyone who wants to add something of his own

Mr Zebre ft Rebel Legal Rmxs

[DPH024]

Mr Zebre ft Rebel-I

“Legal Rmxs”

The original version of LEGAL has been released back in 2012 in Mexico by Mr Zebre and Rebel-I, receiving some mad feedback everywhere it was played, especially in Latin America. In the frame of the world wide ganja legalisation movement and the new approach that many countries adopt, we decided to re-release the tune for free download, raising awareness ….. but of course we added that extra Dubophonic touch.

This is not the first time that Dubophonic released a remix album, but this is the first time that it was done in such an interactive way. This release is a result of a competition, which has been running for the last two months. Every artist had the opportunity to submit their own version of the song (remix, dub, rework). We received around 40 submissions and we would like to thank everybody for their contribution. Unfortunately we could not put all mixes on the release … but you know that dub music has nothing to do with competition. It has to do with the message we spread and with the vibes, and that big feedback proved that dub music has no borders. It is an international movement, growing stronger day by day. Big up to each and every one for the great vibes and also for the hard times you gave us, till we came to the final decision. Every version we received was unique!

The final selection was done by the Dubophonic crew, Mr Zebre, Rebel-I and a team of djs and selectors from various radio stations, who all casted their votes and compiled the list of the 13 tracks who made the final cut: Heavyweight names like Professor Skank (GR) and Al Breadwinner (UK), Dubophonic residents Mexican Stepper (MEX), Med Dred (CY) and Negritage (ARG), but also fresh rising artists like Zentash Gigawatt (BIH), Djiman (FR), Atlas Dub (FR), Sub Majesty (SUI), Injectah (RO), Dub Riots (GR), SKG’s Dub Alliance (GR), R3di the Dub Hermit (UK/CY), Colonial FX (IRL) and Dj Rastacore (ARG). Let the dub games begin!

Telegraphy – Greening Of Man

[iono-21]

Telegraphy

“Greening Of Man”

Through out time man has created and distorted himself and his surroundings. Just like the changing of the seasons with it’s inherent death and rebirth cycles, we are only to connected to this through observation and practice. Like a story being played out in front of us, we face it’s harsh realities all the time. The one who is at the center of this epic story is the one we call “The Green Man”. The king of rebirth and death is symbolized by a leafy skinned man. Having cast away into a deep slumber in autumn – only to rise again in spring. Green Man is waking up his kingdom with dubly sounds.

Telegraphy shares with us his deep connection with the natural world with awakening beats and atmospheric vibes. Just in time for spring.

I Neurologici, Simone Isidori, Pazmiño, Manicomio – Nuova Gnocca Riddim

[SDR027]

I Neurologici, Simone Isidori, Pazmiño, Manicomio

“Nuova Gnocca Riddim”

Irreverent, cheeky, sassy, provocative. I Neurologici confirmed a collective not granted,
capable of surprising and unpleasant choices.
The third riddim unites more reassuring sounds to less common imaginary, combining
blues, tradition and criticism, arising by the expert capacity of the three performers who
wanted to try their hand with this little challenge.

[SDR026]

I Neurologici, Ras Moray, Miz Brown, Pazmiño, Matrix Dubb

“Get Chicken Riddim”

Second release of the Riddim to Riddim series.
Get Chicken is one of those riddim born a bit for fun during rehearsals and who is given a temporary name … that inevitably sticks to it.
Over time, this riddim has gained the interest of several people who work with the collective, enriched with very differrent interpretations by each of them.
Starting with Ras Moray, who used the riddim for his Out Of City, from the eponymous album launched by the artist during a series of events in Kenya and which will be used to collect funds for the construction of the Youth Art Center.
Follow the debut, in italian dub scene, of Miz Brown, italian recently moved to London and Pazmiño, from Ecuador.
Matrixx Dub has been involved as a musician in various British reggae productions.

I Neurologici, Ras Moray, Jobba – 440 Hz Riddim

[SDR025]

I Neurologici, Ras Moray, Jobba

“440 Hz Riddim”

It’s quite a bit of time that Strato Dischi Notlabel host I Neurologici in its studies. In recent years we have accumulated a lot of material, enriched by the collaboration to the collective of singers and musicians. It has come to the idea, announced by a video ( I Neurologici – Riddim To Riddim), to publish a track per month, in different interpretations went out along the way. So Riddim To Riddim was born, which debuts in this month, January 2016, with the track that best relates to the style of the collective before the more electronic experiences. 440 Hz is in fact the opening track of the 1999 album, selfproduced and pressed on vinyl, which has already seen a newly remastered release on our netlabel.
The riddim was subjected to new production. Opening version starring once again, as seventeen years ago, Alexander Mazziotti’s flute and his quotation of a popular tune. It follows the version sung by Ras Moray, Kenyan-born singer, with his warm and powerful voice. The third version is the interpretation of our friend Jobba (Roberto Addo), italian reggae scene new promis, born from that resource of artists that is Campania.
Enjoy … to the next month with Riddim To Riddim second release

The Dub Vaders – Herbs & Trips

[M18]

The Dub Vaders

“Herbs & Trips”

Review

The Dub Vaders could be one of the best kept secrets of the Chilean electronic scene, offering a spectrum of precious tracks linking current and future urban beats, a deep legacy of Dub and some inclination to the dark side of things, that adds a flirty dose of evil to their music.
Herbs & Trips is a brief but resounding trip, where the first two tracks immerse us into an intoxicating cloud that serves as an instruction manual, preparing us for the closure of this magnificent EP, where they allow us to enjoy one of the best electronic tracks released in this part of the world during the current season.
