about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Tzelalot

“Labyrinth”

Tzelalot – Labyrinth
Tzelalot is a movement of Word Sound and Power, having the explicit intent to communicate the mystical meditation about the Shadow of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, that is the meaning of this Ge’ez word.

In Ge’ez, the ancient churchical language of Ethiopia, Tzelalot means “Shadow”. Shadow is the ultimate shining blackness, generated by the presence of Light. As the Psalm 90 says, giving us freedom from carnal fear: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty”.

“Tzelalot” is an educational phenomenon expressing itself in several ways and sides, aimed to the complete ovastanding of the black mystery surrounding the King and dwelling in His Holy Inner. The crucial importance of this persuasion can be easily seen through an intelligent reading of the Gospel of Mark, chapter 4 verses 30-32: And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the Shadow of it.

The secret of Jah depths, of Jah abyss, we desire. And shrouded by His Cloak we want to rest, knowing Qedamawi Hayle Selassie as the Omega Circle Fullfillment of the Whole I-niverse.
Tzelalot has been founded by Matyas Tekle Selassie upon the solid Rock of the truly Ethiopian, Amharic speaking orthodox and Rastafarian tradition. Its crew is mainly composed by Bro. Kalad, Bro. Yosief and Etan-e Negus, but many more good brethrens and sistrens coopereng with I&I, through I&I spirit of love and ovastanding. Inspiration comes from Livitycal Powers. Big respect Midnite Band for their crucial examples and inspiration.

The fifteen tracks of “Labyrinth” compile only a small image of the works of Tzelalot, putting the best vibes together and showcasing the bright spiritual aura that emerges out of every track. As extra bonus we included two brand new tracks of Tzelalot, “I” and “Ras Amlak”. From the consciousness of the “Wheel” (sung in Amharic and English) and the uplifting vibes of “Cali” to the Nyabinghi influenced chanting on “Jah-I-full”, Tzelalot leads you to an esoteric journey of meditation away from the Babylonian labyrinth of today’s society

“Me, Without A Name”

Telegraphy – Me, Without A Name
Telegraphy’s eighteenth release here on Ionosonde Recordings. Tying our shoes on bubble gum ground is as close as a description for this “shoe gazed” five tracked experimental dubed techno EP. “Me, Without A Name” explores the inner most part of ourselves. The “I” of consciousness is only but a clumsy word that attempts to describe you and me. Without the “I”, how can we have the “ME”. The two must exist. So – “I” Telegraphy give you “Me, Without A Name.” Enjoy!

DubRaJah

“Enkang”

DubRaJah – Enkang
DubRaJah is a project of Sergey Gabbasov, a Russian anthropologist and ethnomusicologist, specialized in the peoples of East Africa and Indonesia and student of “Dhow Countries Music Academy” (Zanzibar, Tanzania). He has made many ethnographical expeditions in different parts of Africa, Asia and Europe, produced several films about indigenous peoples and studied their native music. This is Sergey’s first release on Dubophonic.

“Enkang” means in the Maasai language “homestead” .Maasai is one of the very few tribes who have retained most of their traditions, lifestyle and lore. “Enkang” is also the name of DubRaJah’s EP, which was recorded in the period from Autumn 2013 till Summer/Autumn 2014 in Arusha (Tanzania), Stone Town (Zanzibar, Tanzania), Wete (Pemba, Tanzania) and Moscow (Russia). DubRaJah fuses a deep digital dub style with organic sounds, traditional African melodies and chants from the people of Maasai, Datooga, Hadza, Pemba and Zanzibar, incorporating also samples of Mad Professor on “Eyasi Dub” and “Zanzibar Dub”. Each track has is own magic, from the ritual chants in “Laibon” to the mystical beauty of the “Ngezi” forest, cleansing the body, the mind and the soul.

June or July – Volumen 3
“Volume 3” discusses the inner revolution through the moments when our journey meets conflict, our own or someone else’s, individual or collective and the truth behind it. Numbers and observations meet again in this volume to review, discuss and debate.

The artwork, designed Solange Dalannais shows us a simple pencil drawing done in real time during a dance class. The incomplete capture of moving bodies suggests that fragile but deep part of our human condition that seeks liberation and self- transformation.

Alistair Stray :

Stray has been involved in many areas of experimental and electronic music for the last 20 to 25 years, as well as being a visual artist, filmmaker and animator (8mm through video to digital). ‘Inference’ is his techno and dub techno solo project, the first releases of which ‘Reference’ and ‘Resistance is Mutable’ were released on the Kreislauf netlabel. This release is a new start, going back to the basics of groove programming and subtle modulation that are the roots of Dub Techno while referencing the early Detroit Techno sound and first Irdial label releases aesthetically.

During the 90s, his main project was a film improvisation group called Deconstructed Cinema. He was also a founder member of the Raya Collective who played various venue types from clubs to squats and had a brief residency at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London. Towards the end of the 90’s, Stray formed an improv group called Irritants that mostly played the free party and squat scene as well as at Hugh Metcalfe’s ‘Klinker’ club night in London. In recent times, he has collaborated with his partner Anna Flack (a vocalist and experimental digital musician) under the name Radical Elsewhere, releasing recordings on the DBS Sounds & Kreislauf labels. Stray has also released experimental music under the name Noosign on the HAZE and Zimmer labels as well as on Bandcamp. More recently he has been collaborating with another electronic musician, Dave Clarkson under the name ‘Psychic Frequencies’. They have released two sets so far, ‘Cut Ups and Fold Ins’ on HAZE and ‘Projecting Disorder’ on Test Tube.

“Earth Stereo”

Telegraphy – Earth Stereo
Influenced by the genius renegade electrical engineer and teacher Eric P. Dollard who is better known as the modern day living Tesla. “Earth Stereo”by Telegraphy is a sound journey through the mind of this brilliant inventor. If synthesizers could speak of his work – they would sound like this. Speaking in occult mathematics and higher understanding of fundamental electronics, Telegraphy puts in motion the fundamentals of sound. With a full range of dub techno echos and reverb, each track contains hidden aspects of natural math and tonalities. Pushing the boundaries of the low end spectrum with base and plenty of it (just like with Eric’s experiments) Telegraphy opens up a new door to revel a new direction for dub techno to go in.

Steinregen Dubsystem – Live at Fusion festival 2014
Steinregen Dubsystem combines traditional instruments with digital & analog effects and instruments. This live-recording was made at the Fusion Festival in Germany on the 28th & 29th of June 2014 at the Rootsbase & Dubstation stages and edited, mixed and mastered at the “Studio Einz” in Lahr, Germany. The concept of the live-setup is, that every sound source can be affected by several people in a digital or analog way, to achieve the possibility to improvise with the material that is played. Be shure to listen with speakers that can play heavy bass frequencies ! – See more at: http://www.lclweb.org/audio_lp_lcl43.htm#sthash.xlWLEQHJ.dpuf
