about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Invisible Illusion – Curse Of Knowledge

[LCNLP213]

Invisible Illusion

“Curse Of Knowledge”

The Necrophile Hummingbird netlabel presents Curse Of Knowledge by Invisible Illusion.
Analogic musical improvisation recorded live in the 5th December 2024 at the Cave Haven in Foucherans. (The Cave Haven is dead but The Possible Field is back…)

Special Thanks to Wilhelm Richard Wagner for the music.
And to Poussière d’étoile d’araignée, our home rabbit, who drew the artwork.

In December 2024 it was no more possible to download the netlabel albums on internet archive. So I added all my 5 Bandcamp profiles here https://www.horsnorme.org (Also if you are not afraid by the changes you may check Subvert the own by artists alternative…) It’s fixed since but it was quite heavy to our little musical community to do not know the future at this time. Sad. Not the better days. Thanks so much for your interest in Free Music.

Dedicated to the team and the donators who are keeping the Internet Archive alive.

In May 2025 I moved from Foucherans to Dole, not that far, but really different. I’m still running Radio Free Albemuthorsnorme audioblog despite it’s now open to name your price and pay what you want zero include albums. And the web radio will be back on air in a few days…

Invisible Illusion – A Hole In The Blast Furnace

[LCNLP207]

Invisible Illusion

“A Hole In The Blast Furnace”

The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel presents A Hole In The Blast Furnace by Invisible Illusion.

“Resistance Music for Genocided People”

Saved In The Clouds.
I wish children didn’t die. I wish they would be temporarily elevated to the skies until the war ends. Then they would return home safe, and when their parents would ask them: “where were you?”, they would say: “we were playing in the clouds, we were playing in the clouds…”

Ghassan Kanafani

More than one year after the recording of this album Israel government is still killing people.
I’m sick about this never ending horror, lot of people are just looking elsewhere, like asking “please die in silence”. But it’s a fucking genocide.
And USA & Germany are selling the weapons, in theory France not, but when you dig… You find.

A word about this music, this is an improvised live recording, I mean spontaneous music, there is nearly no edit (mostly few glitches removed), there is no mix and no overdubs. For most of my recording I just descent into the Cave Haven turn on the devices by pressing the energy button and let the music come. But sometime to make it more comfortable to the listener I cut out the tracks to make them shorter. For example for Coexistence track I would have taken the ending part to mix it with the beginning and make a half shorter track, but finally I think it’s a bad habit. I prefer keep it as it is, I mean it’s mantrawave, the repetition inducing a hypnotic trance effect, it’s better to do not mutilate the tracks for a so silly idea than to fit with short attention span… Also for Resistance Is A Struggle and Standing Up Against The Genocide, these tracks could seem overlong but are really relevant that way to make the listener feel how it seems never ending tasks.
Thanks for being You and being different of the mainstream people.

Tracks 1 & 11 with poetry by Ghassan Kanafani.

Tracks 1 to 11 : A Hole In The Blast Furnace A-Side
Tracks 12 to 18 : A Hole In The Blast Furnace B-Side

An anecdote about the album cover, I took the photo inside a blast furnace and what you don’t see is the dead dog someone had left there. There is always something hidden beneath the surface of things.

Dedicated to the victims killed by Benjamin Netanyahou government, as well as the Armenian or all victims of other genocides.

The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel presents Bukowski A-Go-Go

“Electro-Post-Punk for Beat Generation Lovers”

Years ago while creating toward the Beat Generation I did only one track with his poetry The Last Days Of Suicide Kids on Back Of The Beat Generation, which was quite unfair so this time I get back to made this little tribute to Bukowski’s poetry.
Musical Improvisation recorded live in September 2024 at the Cave Heaven in Foucherans. Voice lyrics overdub. Charles Bukowski poetry on all tracks, self reading on track 3.

Dedicated to all the hurt people who try to heal themselves by healing others.

Artwork is a mix of bleach photographies with an AI generated visual.

Paul* Hermansen – act

Paul* Hermansen

“act”

Worked on this on and off for about 2 years, because I occasionally felt nostalgic for bass wobbles, wonky beats and lofi atmos.
This schizophrenic EP sits uncomfortably somewhere in between early 2000s UK dubstep and the kind of computer music I normally do.
The last tune is a “proper rinsin” dubstep banger, whereas the rest of the pieces of this EP refract the idiomatic timbres and rhythms of dubstep through an abstracting prism.
Although download is free, please consider paying something, because Saoirse and I are very poor, and in order to make music, we have to eat something.

“Post Illbient Music for Dark Ambient Lovers”

Improvisation session recorded the 29th january 2023 at the Cave Haven in Foucherans.
Members :
Master of Ceremony : Psyché Pelik
Disc Jockey : Yoshiwaku Mushotoku

Tracks titles are loosely based on the films of David Lynch & Gaspar Noé.

I can imagine what a lazy Artificial Intelligence or a crazy netlabel runner would say to explain how this album really brought the language of dreams or nightmares to the ears like if these both directors did it :

Every listener is going to get a different thing. That’s the thing about music. Illbient is like a car, a vehicle that allows you to go within. It’s a mental technique. You don’t need a special place to meditate. You can transcend anywhere in the world. The unified field is here, and there, and everywhere. We will not develop the transcendental way the nihilist spirit can upleavel oneself to certain zen spirit. Of course it won’t make disappear the civilians bodies massacred by bombs, but sometime like these days the world is so dark that you need this kind of dark meditation to heal your soul… The current from beyond dictate everything, you have to be true to that or you’re dead.

Life is a short game. If you want to be bisexual, pansexual, do it. Every single life is about construction and destruction. We are happy persons. When happy persons make dark music, it becomes funny. The truth is that… if you put any idea out there that’s kind of flashy, you have many, many people that are going to be copying it. This happens whether you do movies, paintings or music. Death is not evil. Death can be good news. It all depends. Some people come to this world and live in hell so birth is not always positive. Death can sometimes be positive.

Dedicated to those forced to commit unassisted suicides.

An interesting release by Latvian artist noskovsolegs that combines sounds from brostep and IDM with bizarre lo-fi samples of commercials and broadcasts from their home country to create an album that’s equal parts danceable as it is discomforting.

Bass& Delayer – The Way Out

Bass& Delayer – The Way Out
[mhrk322]

Bass& Delayer

“The Way Out”

Bass&Delayer is a duo based in the North of Italy formed by two friends producers, Bassound and Mas&Delayer (who has notably also appeared solo and remixed others on Mahorka), with a common passion for bass music, especially drum&bass and dubstep sounds.

“THE WAY OUT” is a 140 bpm bass music project inspired by dark atmospheres. In this third EP of them together as Bass&Delayer (after debut on Ephedrina Netlabel in 2014 and “Signal from our Earth” on Typekonnection) they made a careful upgrade of their sounds, composed it from distance and finalized it in nearness, “looking for the perfect beat”.

Released October 30, 2022 as free (cc) digital download and limited (50pcs) cassette edition.
