about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

DzEta – We Hope For A Happy Ending

DzEta – We Hope For A Happy Ending
[IYE36]

DzEta

“We Hope For A Happy Ending”

DzEta is NiCo (Limoges, France) solo musical project.
Inspired by instrumental music, post-rock and ambient music, by artists such as Ez3kiel, Slowdive, Mogwai… He create organic instrumental tracks that I stack to create a solid foundation for inspired aerial melodies. Playing both guitar and effects, mixing textures for misty atmospheres that reveal themselves towards the luminous.

Immersion in the landscape is one of the effects of listening to the DzEta songs: they are virtual visions, but with real sensations, thanks to a peculiar approach to the songs: a known form, halfway between post rock and shoegaze. Composed entirely in solitary, this ep plays with melodies in drawing landscapes that outline along hypothetical and hypnotic winter roads or following a flight of birds over mountains and still lifes.

[Eg0_212]

Ayato & Naoki Ishida

“Momenta”

Ayato & Naoki Ishida have been working together by file exchange since the early 2010s. On Momenta they explore a more melodic and accessible style than on their previous releases on eg0cide( “Red_control rec.played” which focused on field recordings and the split album “Tapes Outtakes” based on tapes manipulations). This time they ofter 14 instrumental tracks blending elements of post-rock, dub, and ambient, using many different instruments and field recordings. The compositions are smooth and catchy, but never simplistic – they deserve many listenings that will let you discover their depth and subtelties.

Sai – Random Motion Of Particles

Sai

“Random Motion Of Particles”

Sai, the dedicated studio project of Yasen Penchev, has been evolving a lot throughout the years, including since his debut album “Perspective seen from different point of view” was released in the summer of 2016, but the core of the project remains in experimentation with analogue and digital recording techniques and extensive use of various string instruments, with results varying from minimalistic ambient atmospheres and melancholic soundscapes to furious polyrhythmic drum patterns syncopated with loads of guitars and progressive rhythmic and melodic structures, music that has usually been fitted under Post rock, Math rock, Ambient and Trip rock and such.

3 years after releasing his outstanding debut Mahorka proudly presents “Random motion of particles”, Sai’s second masterpiece for the label and a notable milestone in the project’s evolution. Keeping the polymetric and polyrhytmic structural approaches and unique sound production techniques, he further extends and builds upon, this time less processed, even clean, guitars, less distortion, more melodic and harmonic compositions, more cinematic and atmospheric overall feeling with more and lusher ambient passages that include even whole tracks on their own.

“Random motion of particles” comes as free (cc) digital download and a precious limited edition (50 pcs) cassette release with outstanding design by Angel Draganov and Yasen Penchev himself. The tape has a different version of the album where the tracks have been redone in different edits and fused together by the artist for two side-long (30 minutes each) trips.

Friends and Enemies – Santa Rosa de Lima (2012)

Friends and Enemies – Santa Rosa de Lima (2012)
[MYRL002]

Friends and Enemies

“Santa Rosa de Lima (2012)”

A melodic, chaotic, deep and melancholic maxi-single, slow at its beginning but becomes faster and cheerful. Lyrics are just basically phrases they came out with while they played the songs. Distraught shrieking is just a background texture.

This album is a result of bad days as human beings, and some kind of catharsis for all. ‘Santa Rosa de Lima’ is a reminder that life goes on while we are sitting here, waiting for something to happen.

DISCONTINUATION OF TREATMENT

“A DEEP REMORSE”

Discontinuation Of Treatment is the creative project of Giuseppe D’aiuto. Behind this moniker he needs to get close the dark and deep sounds and treat them as a bad memory…when it’s gone, the past will remain in the past.
His urgent creative needs are mostly influenced by mental illness and behavioural disorders…Post-punk!

I confide in your ability to push back the obscure and noisy nightmare.

Many many thanks to Gufo Records !!! https://archive.org/details/guforecords

Gabriele Ragonesi

“Dark Passenger”

The wonderful comeback of Gabriele Ragonesi for Florence, one of the most interesting musician out there. His first opus with In Your Ears , was one of the most downloaded in our history.
This work is amazing, plenty of music form prog to rock, from post rock to jazz. Gabriele plays every instruments, is the producer and the recorder, and plays a gentle and affascinating music.Dark Passenger is the perfect journey, take the ride.

The artwork is, like the first work, of the talented William Santiago from his serie “ Zabele “. All is well with Gabriele.

A special thanks to Gabriele Ragonesi, one of the people that is why we are on this.

Go Ask Alice

“Go Ask Alice – Ten little dreams (and one bonus nightmare)”

Humankind has always looked to the stars as its own destiny. For this reason, indefatigable and willful, it has always climbed the highest peaks to get as close as possible. It knows that this is impossible, but it has the courage to try the same. This is written in the sign: the capricorn.

[Eg0_196]

Ayato & Kecap Tuyul

“The shaman won’t come back”

“The shaman won’t come back” is a new file-exchange based collaborative album of Ayato & Kecap Tuyul, It was recorded and mixed in various places between 2015 and 2018. Ayato played guitar with live looping made with a Revox reel to reel tape player, and Kecap Tuyul later overdubbed these hypnotic tracks with various sounds, building dense and trippy soundscapes.
This work can be considered as the 3rd part of a trilogy started with “Waiting for the shaman” , published 6 years ago. For the moment, the 2nd part of this trilogy exists only in the head of the listener.

Minus Pilots

“South Late Winter Dream / My Stars, My Perfect Silence”

Minus Pilots is percussionist Matt Pittori and bassist Adam Barringer. Together they weave sparse textures, crumbling atmospheres and fractured drones with currents of gentle crackle. Between post-rock and ambient, their music incline towards a form of refined abstraction, but always keeps a strong emotional side. And once again, on their new EP South Late Winter Dream/My Stars, My Perfect Silence, the duo masterfully mixes dreamy melodies with a complex work on sound textures and rhythmic micro-events.
