about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“Rebound [Mix]”

Progressive house/trance/techno is on the playlist, mixed live on my MX-8000 for everyone’s listening pleasure. We start with “Yesterday’s Hopeful”, a dance-y house track from my EP “Yesterdayland”, followed by the happy and beautiful “A3”, before moving slightly into trance territory with a favorite of mine: the gorgeous “Plazma Kluster” by Tanto. We continue alternating between beautifule, emotive tunes and darker tracks (the “rebounds”). All tracks I love and play quite often: Sasha Muller’s “The Book Writer”, Roger M’s “Photon”, Micronoise Paranoic Sound’s incredible “Feromono”, Max Cavalerra’s amazing tracks and remixes… Until we get to Manu Bermejo’s exceptional “Monsieur”. Things get serious from there, as we enter the more techno-oriented part of the mix (expection made of Indi-K’s “d’Aubergine” maybe, which tends to the tech-house imho).
Play it loud, play it everywhere, and most importantly enjoy it as much as you like!

Mixed live on my Denon MX8000. No edits, just some mastering on the final result.

Most of these tracks (if not all) are available on the Internet Archive (wink wink), and a couple are from the wonderful Broque label (www.broque.de/ – major respect, dudes!)

Marie Wilhelmine Anders – Travels

Marie Wilhelmine Anders – Travels
[brq 136]

Marie Wilhelmine Anders

“Travels”

KNARZ Maschine – Acid KNARZ EP

KNARZ Maschine – Acid KNARZ EP
[P099]

KNARZ Maschine

“Acid KNARZ EP”

Next up on the ever busy digital imprint that is known as Psychocandies is the “Acid Knarz EP”, the latest three track single by the somewhat mysterious producer named Knarz Maschine. Opening with “Acid Knarz 3” we see Knarz Maschine on a slightly psychedelic, tripped out Techno tip accompanied by weird, creepy soundscapes seeping through from the offset otherworld whereas the subsequent “Acid Knarz 2” pulls off a somewhat warped and wobbling, eerily shifting variation of Broken Techno both reminiscent of psycho horror and a hyperdark variation of early Knarz tracks brought forward by the (sub)genres inventor Thomas P. Heckmann before the final cut aptly named “Acid Knarz 1” brings on hounded, relentless and well whipping uptempo Techno for rave floors lit by strobes on maximum speed, sending punters to a new dimension with the addition of a whirling, ever spiralling PsychoAcid sequence which introduces the next level of intensity at its first appearance around mid-track and therefore turns this final one into our favorite cut out of the three featured on this single.

Sami Konzo

“Stick”

House Community Movement alive.
To break the other chain of infection.
Hope returns in cycles.

Surprisingly Sami Konzo did send a life sign, after three years. And we welcome it a lot and so we can present a different view into Sami his music making. This time we can feel a five track trip into deep tech house, that let’s us dream of nice festival events in the woods or at the sea. The perfect moment, when the crowds are together as one. The artwork and the tracks spread signs of hope, while not forgetting the shadows. It is very welcome to publish the tracks as our spring release. Have a good and hopeful time!

Various Gorge Bootists – GORGE OUT “HERE” 2022

Various Gorge Bootists – GORGE OUT “HERE” 2022

Various Gorge Bootists

“GORGE OUT “HERE” 2022”

GORGE.IN has completed its 10th anniversary compilation “GORGE OUT “HERE” 2022″. The total number of tracks is 45, and the total time is over 2 hours and 40 minutes. A terrifying adventure of madness is enclosed here.

This monster compilation proves it. The bootists (as the artists who create gorges are called) came from 20 regions across Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, and from abroad, including Germany, the U.S., Argentina, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Nepal, and many other countries. Gorge is a mix of gorges from every region of the world, a music that can be found anywhere in the world and nowhere else in the world.

The backgrounds of the participants are diverse. Techno, Dubstep, Hip-hop, Ondo, GQOM, Rock, Noise, Punk ・・・・. All kinds of genres coexist here, swallowed up on the extremely open and vast wildness of Gorge music.

You may be asking, “Is this real?” Despite being active since the early days of Gorge, the recordings include bootists DJ Nanga, MVVM, and others whose existence is in doubt. George Jukemura is deceased, and his sound files came to us by fax. “Isn’t this fictional?” I would like to answer, “The truth is that music exists here”. The existence of this 45-tracks of awesome vibration is unquestionably real. What other information do we need?

Gorge’s last ten years have been “embryo”. With this album, Gorge’s true story has finally begun to unfold. What comes next? Please listen to this album and look forward to it.

88756 – TOOLKIT II

88756 – TOOLKIT II

88756

“TOOLKIT II”

Twelve moons following the initial provision of it’s stripped-back techno tooling, the 88756 project returns with a sequel. As far as we’re concerned, an upgrade – the manual coercion of it’s output towards this overly hypnotic, functional sound is proving easier with each release.

Limbo in both name and nature, the opening track; a relentless polyrhythmic whirlpool of sound and 909s; has been stuck in the release backlog for a considerable time now, and is finally making it’s way out of the project’s DJ sets and into your gleeful little hands. The Void tells the story of a solitary synth line caught up in the perpetuity of existence, whilst Space Whirlpool swirls in a smug, self-satisfactory manner. Latent Reality is, to the best of our knowledge, a genuine attempt at interplanetary communication, and finally, Come Get It closes out the extended EP with an invitation of physical violence.

As always, these mechanical outputs are free to download straight from Bandcamp. Your support keeps us safe, and additional commentary is welcomed.
