about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Sundialll – HUB

[YESNO 115]

Sundialll

“HUB”

儀式 振動 招魂術

A co-release between WV Sorcerer and Yes No Wave Music.

Sundialll is a contemporary music group based in Taipei and Bandung, featuring vocalist/feedback artist Alica Han and multi-instrumentalist/electronic musician Rama Saputra. Coming from distinct musical backgrounds, they explore new sonic landscapes beyond their borders, embarking on fictional journeys through music. Their process begins with deconstructing rhyme, rhythm, and noise, drawing inspiration from their roots and folklore.

HUB is an eight-part live album built on free improvisation, centered around the fictional theme of social ritual. It is inspired by gratitude as a transition through the chaos of urban life and the organic social cohesion that emerges from improvisational language. Celebrating the convergence of diverse identities and places, Sundialll collaborates with sound improvisers Hong-Yu Chen (Xiao, Suona, Suling, Clarinet, Chinese Flute) and Dutch E Germ (Drums, Gong, Percussions), alongside dance improvisers Yu-Ting Tu, Naau Wang, and Ouro Yang. With a slow and silent gaze, we extend a welcoming gesture—“Come in, for the boundaries have been opened” (Bubuka).

Erik Strauss – FTUR

Erik Strauss

“FTUR”

FTUR is made of something different, more ambient, dreamscape, soundtrack style than previous releases.

FTUR could be your future or the one of the planet but, even if written, you cannot really understand and/or change it. It’s not tangible.

I’ve decided to make this journey without a plan and a destination and let the beat and the melody flow.

iCe303 – Echoes Of The Void

[mi335]

iCe303

“Echoes Of The Void”

Echoes Of The Void, by the Portuguese project iCe303, is a deep journey through the realm of cinematic music and ambient, evoking soundscapes that resonate in the emptiness of space and soul.

With subtle textures and immersive atmospheres, the album echoes the legacy of Brian Eno, blending minimalism with restrained emotion. The tracks are not merely music, but echoes—fragments of sound adrift in a contemplative void.

A hypnotic, meditative, and exquisitely produced work.

With such emotional precision in his work, we hope to journey further into iCe303’s musical universe later this year.

Ciudad de Tar – Liminal

[pn243]

Ciudad de Tar

“Liminal”

They say that somewhere, an impossible city exists. That its inhabitants never fully reveal themselves. In “Liminal”, this new album, amid mists and flashes, Ciudad de Tar appears and disappears. Marco Avilez and José Tomás Molina trace coordinates toward a place that doesn’t appear on any map.

Marco ’s guitars echo like radio signals lost in time, drifting through distortion and reverberation, while José Tomás’s keys, synthesizers, clarinet, and percussion shape shifting landscapes—sometimes minimal, sometimes monumental. What they create isn’t just music; it’s the reconstruction of a myth, the search for a lost geography.

This album is a threshold between worlds. Those who have seen them live know there’s something more—something that eludes the obvious. It’s not just musical synergy; it’s the understanding of those who share a secret.

Perhaps Ciudad de Tar does exist. Perhaps Marco and José Tomás have been there, have walked it’s impossible streets, have heard its murmur. But in a world that pushes us toward predictable paths, that binds us to the tangible, finding it is no easy task. Maybe their music is the only way to remind us it’s still there, waiting for those who dare to seek it.

Iliaque – Ombelle

[153]

Iliaque

“Ombelle”

The amphibian human gazes dreamily at the love of his life,
the petrified fossils grow patiently into the eons,
the water constantly granulates.

Let’s put our feet in the sand, the sea is calling! Net label musician Iliaque from the Normandy gives us a little, relaxed and artistic time-out, full of droning fluidity that invites us to imagine. Happy resurrection! Happy living on.

We can already find Iliaque’s music on the net labels Enough, Picpack, Bump Foot and Mahorka, among others. And soon two great songs by him on the Phonocake birthday compilation that will finally be released on June 1st, this one with only a two-year delay.

Circuitnoise & 480billion – Mal was Neues

[ACP 1446]

Circuitnoise & 480billion

“Mal was Neues”

Mal was Neues by 480billion and Circuitnoise – a bold sonic journey that unites opposites: wild cut-ups and apprupt changes meets, constant, machine-like coldness. The album takes listeners into an unpredictable world of modular experiments, live vocal cut-ups, chiptunes, and dystopian feelings. A challenging release, a soundtrack embracing the unknown.

nosomoso – rift

[mi334]

nosomoso

“rift”

Japanese artist nosomoso delivers a work of ambient electronic music marked by subtlety and depth. Drawing from the click and cuts universe and structured around slow-paced rhythms, the album builds minimalist soundscapes where each sound seems to emerge organically and precisely. Rhythmic elements are discreet, almost imperceptible, yet essential to the flow of the compositions.

There are echoes of introspective IDM, with textured glitches and ethereal melodies blending naturally into the stillness. Rather than aiming for tension or climax, Rift embraces calmness as a driving force, allowing motion to unfold through the smallest details – clicks, noises, electronic breaths.

The result is a contemplative and sensitive album, where the natural movement of sounds arises from silence, revealing a mature and refined piece of work that values space and time as core sonic elements.

Bourbon Military – Tanked

[phokes152]

Bourbon Military

“Tanked”

The clocks tick,
into the expanding vortex,
points of light flash in the darkness.

We’re back to IDM, algorithmic, wild, like in a dark and dangerous jungle on an unexplored island, where one suddenly finds the remains of an ancient high tech civilization.

Film music maker Bourbon Military dedicates the album to his friends in his city and was created in an unusual way for him, for once without a concept.

The album was created in the context of problematic neighborhoods and the demonic abysses that surround us while the world keeps turning and we just want to have a good life with good moments. What arrogance of a few sours that for us?

We must persevere. And hope that the culture of violence of the 20th century will soon disappear.
