Orde107 from Scotland comes here with his new album “Distant Storm” and gives us an unbelievable journey over 72 minutes that has it all. Deepest echoes and delays that never want to end and settle like thick clouds over space and time. 9 tracks that go deeper than you’ve known before, and you want to delve even deeper into his carpet of sound, which is so sensitive and floating that you can’t escape it to embark on this journey with him.
Fog settles over the dense forest. A certain silence spreads, which is traversed by deep echoes and so floats through the leaves of the trees. You look through the clearings down into the gorge and here it echoes back on the rock walls. Driving winds spread the sound throughout the area, weaving it into a dense cloud of pads and chords.

“A life in minor” – no matter, if you feel minor or major – is the latest collection of 27 brand new tracks by Smooth who worked on the last 14 months with lots of love and passion. Dubtechno in many forms and variations, but also influences by other musical genres inbetween.
Expect deep and atmospheric Dubtechno in many facets with intense build-ups and long fading outros to give you a relaxing and calming listening experience. All tracks have been handcrafted with lots of details and put together without interruptions between the tracks, so you can enjoy the music completely in a single flow.
The intention on this release was to give melancholy and the feeling of minor a musical face. There is the background noise of life besides emotions fading like delays and reverbs within the music.

PLOT
The third and last album of ARABIA SAUDADE completes the sad story of their Arab Character. Arrived in Brazil with big luggage full of Saudade on the first album (Americ) our character started loving the carnival frenzy of its new home (Le Petit Senegallia) and now is ready to discover all the countries of South America. His trip driven by Wikipedia info leads him to unconditional love for the continent. But when the joy reaches the apex it is time to go back home. As Joao Gilberto taught us: joy has an end and sadness doesn’t.
ALBUM:
The 12 new tracks recorded by ARABIA SAUDADE are one for each South American country (except Brazil which was the main theme of the previous albums). Each lyrics is focused on something taken from the Wikipedia page and then explored live by the Italian band. It took four years to check all the news with real intercontinental trips. During these trips Arabia Saudade embedded Cazzurillo because their Portuguese was still translated with Google Translate, and she was the only one that could understand our sad guys.
REFERENCE:
The travelling helped Arabia Saudade to discover tons of new music and evolve their arabpunk sound. We can sum up in these references:

It’s not our usual psychedelic noise, it can be perturbing first, far further into the darkjazz neverland, but once you shift with it, you’ll reach this reality like a kind of parallel universe of Thomas Ruggles Pynchon novels. If Hum Antenna was the psychedelic side, here come the neo-noir.

This release, entitled Blue Green Earth, is a set of ambient love poems I have created for one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, a unique combination of desert and mountains unlike anywhere else, with an aura of peacefulness and solace unmatched. I simply adore the place.
Intended listening is from the front porch, watching the sun turn the sea of rabbitbrush to gold. I hope you find this album rewarding!
The Beacon EP is a hark back to Bolus’s 2014 EP “perceived redness of an evening sky” and the track “Pump”, utilizing rhythmic drones and sequenced soundscapes and culminating in a more percussive departure from his usual sound in the final track “Gottingen”.
Once again, these compositions represent Bolus’s take on soundtrack work but this time with actual films in mind:
“Martyrs” was perceived for the 2008 film of the same name, “Black Light” for the “Leviathan Configuration” of the LeMarchand box as it rotates above the labyrinth in Hellraiser II, and “Gottingen” for “A Beautiful Mind”, channelling Bernhard Riemann, a 19th century mathematician and alma mater of the University of Gottingen, Germany.
