about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

This license is the most restrictive of our six main licenses, only allowing others to download your works and share them with others as long as they credit you, but they can’t change them in any way or use them commercially.

“Sound Places: Serra do Açor, Vol. 1”

Luís Antero – Sound Places: Serra do Açor, Vol. 1

This sound work was produced based on field recordings performed in the Serra do Açor, namely in the Mata da Margaraça – protected area of the Serra do Açor –and in the villages of Monte Frio, Porto Silvado, Pomares and Gramaça, belonging to the counties of Arganil and Oliveira do Hospital, respectively.
Sound Places: Serra do Açor, Vol. 1, as the name indicates, is the first work of a series dedicated to the Serra do Açor and some of its villages.
The landscapes and sound frames that constitute them, which are part of them and give them identity, are the groundwork for this series, following the artistic work of the archive and the sound documentation that I have been developing since 2008, also appealing to the creative listening of the places which are part of this territory and to a sensitive awareness of them.
Thus, once again, one gets to know Beira Serra through the art of sounds, in its multiplicity and sound dynamics. A Sonorous Rurality that one can feel.

V.A. – One Hundred
Audioexit Records celebrates its 9th birthday this November and this date marks another milestone at our label. The upcoming release – AE100 – will be our latest release as a netlabel and we plan it to hit hard.

Audioexit was established in 2007. After the initial 3-sublabel structure we kept only techno as this is our main profile originally. The label could manage to stay underground and uncompromising during the years. This was our initial goal so we can say we achieved it.
Our releases were widely recognized in the scene, played by many DJ’s and radios. We also had monthy podcasts and mixseries.

We would like to thank you for your support and also ask you to stay tuned, because we will have news coming soon.

First of all, no time should be more important than another. Fireproof Poetics is forged precisely in each and every one of those moments.

Our only aim was to sit and play in front of our instruments and let ourselves be surprised by our own sounds, using a gallant dialogue and attentive listening.

This work is the testimony of that time, which after the process of naming, is painted with that fireproof film, which from now on will protect you from the intense heat that the time lays on the past.

Safe Place – Lifecutter

Safe Place – Lifecutter

Safe Place

“Lifecutter”

Safe Place – Lifecutter
The music for Safe Place was initially written for accompanying a video project by Iztok Klančar. It evolved over time through cooperation with sharing different ideas, visions and video material. It was written and made to mimic the same lurking darkness that both artists, Lifecutter (Domen Učakar) and Iztok Klančar are familiar with through different relations to their own existence. It was written to intensify the murky atmosphere somewhere beneath and to give extra weight to images that convey the inner anxious conflict states. The images are clean, realistic, yet shot so that one would think that someone has staged the entire nature. It seems as if Klančar filmed imaginary moving paintings set to push the spectator into his inner hidden places.

Iztok Klančar’s words about Safe Place project:

»I retreat. I do that whenever external forces act on me. I create a mental space. There, I can play.

It is when you have a bad dream, a violent one. It is not the one when you are being chased into an abyss by all sorts of beasts. It is the one when you have to defend yourself, when you strike back and crush somebody’s scull. Or just shout back until there is no voice left in you, when your throat gets soar, when your tears are gone because you’re dry on the inside. Or just destroy things around you. And there is blood. Until you see only blood, only red.

At the moment, my core is so intense that I feel I might have a breakdown. I feel my nervous system is over capacity, burning, heating up. Again, I observe the world from within, from a hidden place, unaffected, not wanting to be affected. Darkness has always been lurking deep in my mind. This darkness inside me is merging with that of our current world.

I am at a threshold. The world seems to be ripping apart and shredding itself. And I simply try to be a neutral observer of it all.«

“Fields”

Various – Fields
Here at Kahvi we’re exceptionally proud of our yearly compilation release – and here, finally, is the VA release for 2016! It’s been a mammoth undertaking, collecting tracks, compiling the release, mastering, creating the cover artwork but finally we can announce that “Fields’ is here!

This year, we have 40 of the best tracks from some familiar faces, along with many guest artists that submitted their tracks for inclusion. We’re especially proud to include a track from the legendary Richard Devine!

Some really amazing talent is out there with very little exposure, and the VA is our chance to redress the balance.

Fantastic cover artwork is created by our resident VA artist ‘Anto’ and mastering is by Mnemonic. Enjoy this years VA and Merry Christmas!

Red Star Martyrs

“Red Star Martyrs”

Red Star Martyrs – Red Star Martyrs
The UK producer Stanley Woodfield, better known under the project-name Red Star Martyrs, has been one of the most active artists since the start of our label. After having released two EPs, “I & I” (2013) and “Time for Tea” (2014) and contributing in the compilation “United as One (2014), there was a silence for nearly 2 years. It has been a constructive silence … and today we are happy to announce his first long player. We have been saving this one for you to be our last release of 2016.

The self-titled digital LP includes 14 brand new tracks of total length of 63 minutes from the producer who has managed to set his own sound-mark on our label. Rootikal vibes with a twist and melodic dubwise sounds with live instruments played mainly by Stanley himself are the key ingredients of his style. Guest appearances by I-Rebel, Don Goliath, Madi Simmons, Tallis, Trinity, Kontent, Squidgy Black and Penti from Senti. Give thanks! R.I.P. Fidel, Hasta la Victoria Siempre!

All tracks written, produced and programmed by Stanley Wood. Guitars, bass, keyboards, melodica and live percussion by Stanley Wood, Flute on Suede Head by Andy Williamson, Artwork by Ruth Calder Murphy and Savvas Thomas.

Feminine

“Lorelei”

Feminine – Lorelei
Lorelei is the debut album from duo Feminine (Giampiero Riggio and Francesco Cipriano). A wave manifesto against the deeply rooted reverence for the logic of genres. “Lorelei” develops on two complementary levels: one archaic and passionate, troubled by the many contradictions of a land like Sicily and the other, accurate and bewitching, is a prelude to teutonic Stuttgard. A countless number of bytes which they shared and exchanged remotely. This work is romantic and brave at the same time, constantly immersed into a very deep atmosphere, never trite,
fooled by the certainty that there is no dream which cannot be described.
