about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Rafael Cheuquelaf – Camino interior

Rafael Cheuquelaf – Camino interior

Rafael Cheuquelaf

“Camino interior”

During the Pandemic that we have all lived through, we have had to modify our habitual behaviors and adapt to circumstances that, until not so long ago, seemed to only exist in the most dystopian imagination. Each one of us has dealt with their ghosts in their own way. I have found mine, returning to the habit of leaving the city to photograph whatever the Magellanic landscape could offer me. And I photographed the most solitary places of the steppe, going into those interior paths that few people travel. There are no human beings in these images, but there is the mark they have left, in the form of abandoned buildings corroded by time. Old houses and empty sheep stalls. Little shrines raised on the side of the road in memory of people who never returned home. Machine gun nests where soldiers waited for a war that never came. Remains of a forest burned by ranchers decades ago. And in the midst of all this, the non-human inhabitants who continue their eternal wandering through the land of the Aonikenk, today crossed by barbed wire that the guanacos jump until they get entangled and die.

Today I share with you the result of a creative exercise: composing and recording music inspired by this photographic record of Magellanic solitude, in a very short time and only using synthesizers, electric bass and an electroacoustic guitar. By doing this I wanted to draw a more complete vision of how I see my habitat and what catches my attention about it. With images and sounds I can express in a deeper way than with words the sensation of strangeness and melancholy that certain places produce in me. And thus reveal new textures under the hard light that illuminates this boundary. I hope you enjoy this brief visual and sonic pass through places where it is easy to imagine that the world has already ended. Because I believe that what would come after our disappearance will be just as calm as that interior path I love to lose myself on.

Spiedkiks – Mary Poppin’ Medicine

Spiedkiks – Mary Poppin' Medicine
[BSOG0117]

Spiedkiks

“Mary Poppin’ Medicine”

It’s been just over two years since we last heard from our German friends, Spiedkiks. In that time they’ve been hard at work preparing today’s fantastic release, their new album “Mary Poppin’ Medicine”. Thirteen tracks deep, it takes you on a sonic journey through trip-hop, rap and beyond. Although hard to categorize into a genre, it’s a memorable selection of songs that you’ll find yourself returning to over and over.

For this one they decided to reach out to a few friends to help make the medicine happen. Folks like our good friend Pot-C (from Cheese N Pot-C) who lends his vocal dexterity to not one, not two… but THREE songs. Donnie Ozone also stops by to drop rhymes over beats. Also lending a hand are Niki Jäger, Johannes Hehrmann, Martin Bogren, Jero Castella & Thurgood Bartholomew. Last, but certainly, not least, Josh & Juliette from Louis Lingg & The Bombs, too!

Anyway, enough reading… go ahead and download it. Enjoy. I’m sure you will.

Hey Spiedkiks and everyone involved in this spectacular album… thank you all so much for such a terrific sonic journey!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

Ouranoise And Ed End – Darkness Is Knocking At My Door

Ouranoise And Ed End – Darkness Is Knocking At My Door
[LCNLP148]

Ouranoise And Ed End

“Darkness Is Knocking At My Door”

The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel presents Darkness is knocking at my door by Ouranoise and Ed End.

“Witch Rock for Unborn People”.

About the surface of this album :

Do you remember ?
When the first time you really met another being.
No shapes matter.
I notice that sometime with very sensitive people, some may call this people empaths, it’s like we’ve never been severed.
This kind of unborn children may be still linked to everything, like perhaps before the birth. I can be wrong, but it seems the case of Ouranoise.
Also seems it’s my own case and maybe that’s half why, since my name is Ed End I feel non-binary, darkness and light melt in an inextricable way, the other half may be because of how the patriarchal society is violent against the women as well sometime disallow elementary right as well to own their bodies.
Or it’s just the fruit of my imagination. Indeed, like so many, my father was violent and my mother for example was unable to say or show that she loved me.
Anyway, that’s not the plot. So what would be music if not a fundamental element of the meeting process. The vibrations finding their phases. Tuning. Perhaps the result of love and life melt is o and i overlaid. One of the symbolism analysis possible is that the other dot is replicated inside the o becoming 2.
And again and again each time we meet someone. Sounds crazy ? I don’t know.
I’m walking through life with my eyes blinded to keep my other sens wide open.
No rational process in action. Only fluid moves thru the possible fields.
So Ouranoise musical universe met my musical universe and I’m so happy to share this music with you.

About the depths of this album :

Perhaps it would be not that far in the style index of death rock or darkwave or postpunk…
Let’s dig this with a little of the story about this improvised track. Many of the last tracks recorded are far too long for usual listeners habits.
So first I extracted the most significant parts of them or reduced them to the essential.
Thinking myself that I’m often listening to shorter tracks. But next because I like to think the long time listeners of the netlabel are really open mind, and also that I enjoy these tracks for the trance inducing repetitive effect, so I chose to do not mutilate them, thinking it could coin a new style : Mantra Wave.

Actually, this one is more created like a sort of 45 rpm Single track which really do not care of any limitations.

Last few days ago I was reading Twilight of the idols and was so disappointed with what it shows about Nietzsche, being very different of what I thought when I read Also Sprach Zarathustra…
I realized to what level it’s possible that a book can be far different of the writer thoughts behind. So I choose to keep sharing my point of view,
but I’m warning you to never forget that the music matter more than any of my words.
Or for this release my opinion is the more relevant thing to do is to really listen the poetry of Ouranoise :

An ode to the darkness

The obsessive compulsive of the literal captive disorder of tales and boiling horns lying on its side looks at you so that you smile and see your face in the
you caress with your voices the dream come true where the sweet sacred darkness kneels while kissing its hands of ether until the light appeared
faint whisper of the little birds that wake up to sing those who are being born among the trees their eyes of different colors twinkle to find the infinite seed of the sky and a fresh wind enters my soul to remember that my arms learned to fly like them
now the moon shines for me
now the sun does me good
I love you now and I will love you forever
I just want to be inside you and feel your soul melt with mine
those dreams that come true in the darkness so clear and full of your eyes

looking for delirium the mind closed looking for the void the present is felt and in a sung verse the sun grows as if it were the first day of life
through your hands the oracle of the magicians makes me read the creativity that I possess I am the sweet firmament of the golden in the sunset
I am the full cup of the magician and the heavenly love of lovers
I am that sky full of stars that become light to go through you and kiss you while I rise with you to the imagination of life.

Good listen & thanks a lot for the support.

Invisible Illusion – Thee Mystery Unveiled

Invisible Illusion – Thee Mystery Unveiled
[LCNLP147]

Invisible Illusion

“Thee Mystery Unveiled”

The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel presents Thee Mystery Unveiled by Invisible Illusion.
“Esoteric Music for Illuminated People”.

About the surface of this album :

“What the caterpillar calls the end, the rest of the world calls a butterfly.” (Fake Lao Tzu quote, which might come from Chuang Tzu talking about the transformation of things )
Unthinkable, like in the psychedelic experience when you touch something and are unable to be bring it back in human consciousness, letting us with the question : from where this is coming ?
Indeed, the trademark of this netlabel…
Really the fruit of many changes. Another Invisible Illusion’s album more noise was planned to be release first but it’s now in standby, maybe because it’s too long for my actual tastes. Also, because despite there is a plan I try my best to learn and it seems the split form of the two first albums is not so relevant. Finally, I prefer the form we used with the two sides of Beyond Magick Dreams A-Side & B-Side by Multiple Personality 3 for example. This record could sounds like the right next after OVER CAN, but in fact it’s the opposite, we achieved it just before to worked out OVER CAN.
So, don’t be surprise if the borderline between Invisible Illusion and Pirate Tapes is actually very thin : it’s a collaboration with Studio 112.

About the depths of this album :

Perhaps I could talk about the super ego in Isis Unveiled by H.P Blavatsky. And so explain that the mysterious signal, that many sensitive persons or precogs, like would say Philip K. Dick, is only coming from another part of each one hidden beyond a veil. Because of the latency, some do not understand that it creates a kind of reflection of our acts. So if instead to use it like any feedback system, we try to follow these orders we just get insane, the same way that someone looking into the mirror will fall into a mise en abîme…
I could…
But I may already talked about it in the presentation of the Necktar 2017 v2 related to this book… or somewhere else. And it’s definitively better to understand it by yourself than to read it from someone else.
If not, at that point you could feel close to face a magician showing his tricks…
What’s the point to live, if we can’t experiment by ourself ?

Good listen & thanks a lot for the support.

Jorge Grela – SCRUM

Jorge Grela – SCRUM
[pn204]

Jorge Grela

“SCRUM”

Dance and music since prehistoric times have developed hand in hand as a form of ritual, and it is from this bodily connection that music becomes so decisive in many dance works. Jorge Grela from Argentina, is the musician who scored part of the dance work “Manada” by Julieta Rodríguez Grumberg, which premiered virtually in 2021 in Buenos Aires. The sound result is compiled in the 4 track EP “SCRUM”, composed completely for corporal movement, with ambient rhythms that will delight us, making us participants in a flock, in a very profound auditory experience that proceeds from evolution to resistance, with musical arrangements of voices, guitars, bass, drums and synthesizers, passing through instrumental music to electronic music, which will undoubtedly make us feel the dance in our ears.

Fields Ohio – Neopagans

Fields Ohio – Neopagans
[BSOG0116]

Fields Ohio

“Neopagans”

Today we’re incredibly thrilled to be able to bring you new music by the intriguing and talented Fields Ohio, the long distance collaboration of Christine Annarino in Ohio and Eddie Palmer in New York. Their sound can best be described as trip-noire, consisting of lofi beats, banjo, ukulele, guitar, bass, percussion, synths & keys. Over the past 9 plus years, they’ve released ten albums packed with hypnotic and funky sonic adventures and now they bring blocSonic listeners new music!

With the new album “Neopagans”, Fields Ohio had so much in them to get out that they ended up with two albums worth of material ready to go. That’s right, twenty-six tracks and none of it filler. This is both moody and funky music that you’ll likely play all day in loop mode. Enjoy.

Hey Christine and Eddie, thank you both for allowing blocSonic to release such a fantastic release! Oh… Christine, welcome to the blocSonic family!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Glog – Visum et Repertum

Glog

“Visum et Repertum”

a vampiric drone sound journey

One of the most important sources for the history of vampirism is the report Visum et Repertum written and attested by military surgeons in Serbia on January 26, 1732. It was sent to the authorities in Belgrade and Vienna, and copied by envoys of foreign governments. Foremost it was distributed in various versions to newspapers and scientific periodicals throughout Europe causing a public as well as scientific sensation in many European countries throughout the year 1732. In fact, had it not been for this report, the word vampire and the stories of these supposedly blood drinking corpses would probably not have become known, and consequently the popular vampire of authors like John William Polidori and Bram Stoker, as well as the vampire of 20th and 21st century popular media would not have come into existence.

Eduardo Only – Todo Lo que Extrañas Ya No Existe!
[pn203]

Eduardo Only

“Todo Lo que Extrañas Ya No Existe!”

“Todo Lo que Extrañas Ya No Existe!” (“Everything You Miss No Longer Exists!”) is the second release for Pueblo Nuevo by Concepción based artist Eduardo Jofré Carrera aka Eduardo Only. A 4-track Glitch-Hop / Hip-Hop and IDM exercise in which we can enjoy nebulous, random and ethereal melodies, FM synthetic pads of exquisite taste, sampled drum hits and rhythms that combine perfectly with the evocative and cinematic turntable inserts. Possessing the mastery of a grainy, glitch-loving songwriter, this early human Jedi conceived this EP by means hardware-based one-take jam recordings, which were only tweaked with software at the time of mastering. Special mention is the tribute to the Chilean graffiti artist Masek, a personal friend of the musician, in precisely the track that bears his name. In short, if you like artists who sound like the future, who handle downtempo, trip-hop and master their tools with originality and skill, I recommend this work, without any doubt.
