Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Anastasia Vronski – Estrangements (volume1)

Anastasia Vronski – Estrangements (volume1)
[Eg0_192]

Anastasia Vronski

“Estrangements (volume1)”

Anastatsia Vronski is a versatile experimental musician from Perm, Russia. Since years she has been creating an impressive and quite diverse body of work. Many of her tracks can be classified as “drone “or “noise”, but they always have a specific, often intriguing qualities. Above all, she’s not an artist who will do the same twice, and maybe that’s why some of her pieces are sometimes self-published isolately. Since we thought many of them deserved more exposure, we decided to make a selection of such works in a compilation album : Estrangements, that will be published in two volumes. The first volume gathers tracks composed in 2013 & 2014 (selected with the artist’s approval) that seem to share some kind of minimalist mood, although they are very diverse. For each of them, Vronski has written a few words about the specific methodologies and ideas (see below) involved in the composition. But this doesn’t make her music less mysterious. Each track seems inhabited by a mysterious and poetic spirit whose intrinsic qualities will appear to attentive listeners even without reading anything. The 2nd volume will be published in 2019

[BSOG0081]

aitänna77

“Memory Lane”

Spanish musician Mikel Martínez began his journey as aitänna77 in 2007. From that year on to 2012 the journey took him from folktronica to bedroom pop to cloud-rap. In 2015, after three years of focus and study, he returned with Patterns For Smartness, a collection of dreamy and ethereal songs (much in the same vein as Boards of Canada and Broadcast). Then in 2017, that sound collided with the raw and organic beat-making technique of producers like Madlib or RZA on Any Place But Here. Today he returns with the hazy and moody Memory Lane… an album that continues exploring both sonic worlds.

bloc heads get ready for some of that smokey, laid back, ill stuff… this one will likely be on repeat for a while.

Thanks for a terrific blocSonic debut release, Mikel! Welcome to the blocSonic fam!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

InO – Magali Albespy – 2017/2018

InO – Magali Albespy – 2017/2018
[Eg0_191]

InO – Magali Albespy

“2017/2018”

InO is the acronym for “Interpenetration and non-Obstruction”, one of the principles that John Cage used to create music that was anarchic (against the structures of most of musical traditions) and in the same time encouraging new possibilities of coexistence. Magali Albespy, a french artist rooted in dance and performance, took inspiration from this for a methodology of real time composition dance practice focused on sound. “2017/2018” is made of excerpts of the sessions recorded during the first year of these weekly events.

These recordings can be considered as documents of this practice. Indeed they are such documents, especially for people who were involved in the sessions. But we think that they also have a fragile and surprising beauty of their own that deserve an independent life for your listening. This unexpected musicality has been discreetly stressed by the editing choices, which we can consider like a delicate work of “a posteriori composition”, a work made with respect for the uniqueness of each sound event and their kind of abstract narrative power. That’s why we hope that you will enjoy these atypical works.

Recorded and edited by Magali Albespy.

Featured performers :
Magali Albespy, Jean Bloch-Laroque, Suzanne Cotto, Antoine Freychet, Chloé Garat, Flora Gaudin, Camilla Gliozzi, Virgine Gouband, Emmanuelle Huchet, Paul Kauffmann, Guillaume Lecamus, Laurence Luminet, Blandine Minot, Stéphanie Moitrel, Martine Muffat-Joly, Anne-Catherine Nicoladzé, Olivier Pelletier, Stéphanie Puechavy, Regina Ramsl, Anne Savelli, Kecap Tuyul, Donata d’Urso, Sig Valax, Mandoline Whittlesey

Magali Albespy is a dancer and performer. She likes to question the borders between formats and artistic disciplines. She explores real-time composition with body, video and sound. As a musician, she also plays in M.A.K.T. Sono and Mesce Basse.

Gerardo Figueroa Rodriguez – #soloshow

Gerardo Figueroa Rodriguez – #soloshow
[pn136]

Gerardo Figueroa Rodriguez

“#soloshow”

“Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel is always honored to present. This time it’s my honor -and I really mean it- to present #soloshow, recorded by the very talented Gerardo Figueroa.

The story begins when Lorena López Araya, Chilean artist based in Villa Alemana, gave Gerardo a series of audio files containing readings of poems of her own to “do as he pleased”. This was 2016. A couple of years later, he selected fragments of one of those files and decided experimenting with them at a very special occasion: an improvised live-act in the context of a poetry festival in Padre Hurtado, where he shared his choices using a DJ software (Mixxx).

#soloshow is mainly and strictly organized around the poem, so each and every sound/noise in it is nothing but a mixed-up/looped/reversed/accelerated/paused single female voice. Volume goes up and down sometimes, speed and pitch also swing. Sometimes, words mingle in unison, becoming strange and detached, with no clear message behind.

Inside Inside Inside Inside is repeated several times, while words like hurting, crack, pouring pouring and oscillating are heard louder. Deconstructed and reconstructed verses, ordering/disordering patterns, altering the way we are used to listen to poetry. Words tend to disappear, resurfacing reversed, in seductive, odd-to-listen, hard-to-write utterances.

Sewing machines, a Ford factory with a row of ladies working, alienated; a rusty, slow truck down the countryside, an electric hammer breaking up some hard cement, a plane moving propeller before taking off, a minimal music electronic party or an Atari machine stuck in the middle of a game are some of the sounds this record seems to evoke, in seamless fashion.

It is not an easy record, this one: #soloshow is a poem turning into a sound piece, mixed and remixed using a limited amount of effects, turning prose into a journey through noise, in a deep sea, full of different textures, where voice becomes something so disparate you can’t even trace the source, a poem crowned with an powerful, alluring image:

D I R T Y B L O O D.”

Federico Dal Pozzo is an Italian sound artist , electroacoustic composer and musician. His works are based upon concrete objects and the transfiguration and perception of the sound and audio- spatialization . He works with Max/Msp. He does compositions for dance and theatre companies , audio-Installations and concerts.
Today we are proud to publish his latest piece Untitled_PaHaD , a mysterious and subtly progressive composition, where where liquid textures swirl like a delicate swarm of otherwordly voices. In this new work, once again Dal Pozzo’s use of digital tools is very fluid and organic, completely at the service of a higly personal musical vision.Credits:

“Realtime Experiments (2018)”

There are occasions when we are jamming together without presetting any genre or style. In real time we choose the wave synthesizer, samples or connected microphones. On the fly we modify the source sound adding equalization, effects chains and compression keeping in mind the arrangement of a noisy musical flow and interacting with each other. We record the master mix and then cut the best parts out of many hours of raw jams, sort them and cut out odd sounds, re-compose track, equalize, normalize and finally publish an album. Proud to share with you selected experimental electronics of 2k15-18 period by 303 / “Trio Three”.

Gaetano Fontanazza

“The Grandpa Lullabies”

This right here is not an album. This right here is not an EP.
This right here is a gift.
The best gift that a musician can receive.
The gift of inspiration.
A gift so overwhelming that needs to be given back in some kind of shape or form.
A gift of life, of love, turned into music.
Eight moments to lull you to sleep, to drive you home safe and sound, to hold you and warm you.
Lullabies are meant to make you close your eyes and numb your body, waiting for sleep to come and take away your weariness.
Lullabies are blankets, tales, emotions, caves, rays of light, windows, reassurances, and calm sands.
No rhythms whatsoever here, just flowing guitars, and sounds. To make you feel like a newborn child in the warmest embrace you can imagine, surrounded by the gentle sound of a grandfather playing you to sleep.
Sleep well child, sleep well you who listen, ‘cause someone is looking after you and he is eager to take the greatest gift of all and give it back to you.
To all of you.

Aiggom Gaudium – Alea iacta est

Aiggom Gaudium – Alea iacta est
[pn135]

Aiggom Gaudium

“Alea iacta est”

“Alea iacta est, luck or chance, may well be the ideas navigated by the musical work of Aiggom Gaudium (pseudonym Sebastian Moggia), in his first publication in Pueblo Nuevo, who does justice to the name of this EP in a way that is mysterious and almost cryptic.

Translated into English, the title of the album means ‘the luck is cast’, probably in reference to the artistic courage of trying to control the uncontrollable through music. The development, a mixture between the past and that which ensues through time, are shown here in an amalgam of references through which the author moves -and has moved before-, comfortably, as much in the mixture of styles with denomination of origin, as in the resulting sonorities and a musicality of neat technical style.

Links with the ambient, tints of arrangements with origins in traditional instrumental music, abundant in thick beds, classical pianos and electronic sequences, real or simulated violins and jazzy drums, these make up this group of four compositions with kind and sometimes melancholic melodies, they provide glimpses of finely intertwined electronic treatments; they are sonic layers that advance in atmospheres and unimagined landscapes, that through multiple listens necessarily evoke a different time, as if Aiggom Gaudium had tempted luck, taking it by the horns and submitting it to his musical will.”

Claudio Pérez P.
Artista visual / Músico (Lars & iO, A+, C+, Usted No!)
(Santiago, Chile. Septiembre / September 2018)

“From Viña arrives to Pueblo Nuevo the interesting project Aiggom Gaudium, the intellectual property of the musician and producer Sebastián Moggia, whose name has been hitherto unknown in the small world of electronic music, and who makes his official debut with this collection of 4 tracks entitled ‘Alea Iacta Est’.

Sebastian, as he himself has defined it, travels in this EP through past lives in different personal projects and styles, as much within electronic music and outside it, including techno, house, psytrance, drum & bass, chill-out, jazz and classical music. In this work he constructs with delicate electronic and acoustic elements musical passages of an instrumental nature that ignite in distinct moments, and with varied textures, the omnipresent and conceptual darkness of the author.

We move here through different scenes and sensibilities in an environment that is dark, but developed with “plot and drama”, with an emphasis on the subtlety of well-produced and mixed synthetic sounds, orchestrated environments, dancing to the sound of good beats and percussion loops. Sebastian here presents stories, with developments and a kind of script with distinct scenes in a single musical tour, as in his beautiful track ‘I’m Late’, which delights with its pianos, synthesizers and voices processed through a path with different nuances and breaks.

‘Canto en Púrpura (Song in Purple)’ is another mysterious story of the composer, with good rhythmic movement from electronic and real drum loops, a bit like Massive Attack on their Mezzanine album, which holds warm touches of synthesized pads. An almost cinematic view of a desolate landscape, but exciting to contemplate.

Completing this work are the pieces ‘Quasi una Fantasía’ and ‘Cycling’, which comprise a more intense rhythmic attunement, coated with processed analog sounds, acoustic pianos and voices from a heartfelt, ceremonial, and distant song, as in a revealing dream. As the composer tells us in his title, ‘The luck is cast’, because on a personal level this adventurous soloist has started on the right foot, and I wish him the best in his creation and new pathways. Enjoy.”
