Orde107 from Scotland comes here with his new album “Distant Storm” and gives us an unbelievable journey over 72 minutes that has it all. Deepest echoes and delays that never want to end and settle like thick clouds over space and time. 9 tracks that go deeper than you’ve known before, and you want to delve even deeper into his carpet of sound, which is so sensitive and floating that you can’t escape it to embark on this journey with him.
Fog settles over the dense forest. A certain silence spreads, which is traversed by deep echoes and so floats through the leaves of the trees. You look through the clearings down into the gorge and here it echoes back on the rock walls. Driving winds spread the sound throughout the area, weaving it into a dense cloud of pads and chords.

“A life in minor” – no matter, if you feel minor or major – is the latest collection of 27 brand new tracks by Smooth who worked on the last 14 months with lots of love and passion. Dubtechno in many forms and variations, but also influences by other musical genres inbetween.
Expect deep and atmospheric Dubtechno in many facets with intense build-ups and long fading outros to give you a relaxing and calming listening experience. All tracks have been handcrafted with lots of details and put together without interruptions between the tracks, so you can enjoy the music completely in a single flow.
The intention on this release was to give melancholy and the feeling of minor a musical face. There is the background noise of life besides emotions fading like delays and reverbs within the music.
This album needs time to listen to, so please take your time! Overall, you will find over 8 hours of music to explore…

Imago (lat. ‘image’, ‘likeness’) is on the one hand a term “the last stage an insect attains during its metamorphosis” on the other hand “the unconsciously emerging first image of relationship persons, usually of father or mother” (Wikipedia). Both may apply here, because a certain programmatic aspect is definitely present in the music in connection with the speaking titles. Perhaps not necessarily planned from the beginning, as much seems to have arisen spontaneously and intuitively. But in the further course of the tracks they quite stringently follow the first inspiration and develop in itself coherently. At the end then maximum irritation, alienation, guesswork: If only you knew „was der macht in Nacht“.
