about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“O.O.S.”

Jan Strach – O.O.S.
Jan Strach returns with a collection of songs gathered from his short lived “Out of Strach” project which presented each month a new short film, photos, a short story and two pieces of music. The songs were recorded between January and May and due to the time constraints JS had to go with the first inspiring thought that he got at the moment – whichgave some great and varied results. The opening track is based on the reversed melody of “Frere Jacques” but ends in a stoner feakout. There are atmospheric pieces about being followed by a woman driver and the death of dr Greene from the hit tv series “E.R.”; a tribute to Opel Astra over 5 different melodies in 3 different genres. Apparent are irregular rhythms and non-obvious melodies which JS has much love for, and equally much amateur passion and diy spirit, as always on the Underpolen netlabel.

“Eddie Huragan” is dedicated to mr Eddie Palmer of the tremendous The Fucked Up Beat, who fought the hurricane.

“Suddenly a bird” was written to graduate the online songwriting course at Berkeley music school.

Burning House – Burning House
Artist: Burning House
Title: Burning House
Genre: Shoegaze
Country: UK
Format: MP3 [320 kbps; stereo; 44,1 kHz]

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Burning House have created a sepia-tinted sound that is both pastoral and psychedelic. The glacial arpeggios, the guttural feedback that owe’s much to the cinema of Andrei Tarkovsky, as it does to the likes of Red House Painters and My Bloody Valentine.
The music truly takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions which evolves a certain sadness, elation, but also black humor.

+LET’S DISINFECT!+ – +LET’S DISINFECT!+

+LET’S DISINFECT!+ – +LET’S DISINFECT!+
[TWG007]

+LET’S DISINFECT!+

“+LET’S DISINFECT!+”

+LET’S DISINFECT!+ – +LET’S DISINFECT!+
Chiptune’s greatest and most prolific horrorpunkster ‘+Let’s Disinfect!+’ is gracing TWG with a self-titled album, three years in the making, and his usual bouts of anthemic chippunk.
Continuing our tradition of showcasing chiptune with experimental or ‘out of the ordinary’ applications, Sean Monistat, aka +Let’s Disinfect!+, produces his most diverse album yet. Whilst tracks like ‘My Life Hurts’ and the title track delve into that familiar upbeat +LD!+ sound, this debut full-length sees an expansion of Let’s Disinfect’s repertoire, drawing on post-punk sounds on ‘Melted Ice Cream’, prog metal meanderings in ‘A Garden of Mutants’ and nods to chipthrash in ‘Buy My Lawnmower!’. This all adds up to the most diverse Let’s Disinfect release to date.

As with most releases here on TWG, ‘+Let’s Disinfect!+’ is a grower, and repeat listens will let those punk pop-lined hooks dig only deeper into the brain, until every single lyric is engraved into natural impulse. And if the adhesive motifs weren’t enough, the vibrancy of textures and styles coated with that trademark ‘less-is-more’ chip (in this case DS) programming and crowd-chanting shouts of frontman Sean leave this release in the stratosphere when comparing it to vocal/chip albums of the past. From the plodding determination of ‘Contact!’ to the ferocious outburst of the title track, Let’s Disinfect! continues to cement himself as an essential forward thinker within an often saturated scene, and an extremely talented one at that.

Tracklist:
01. Contact!
02. Winter
03. Melted Ice Cream
04. My Life Hurts
05. The Case of Matsuo Fujimoto
06. Bleachbrain Zombie
07. Buy My Lawnmower!
08. A Garden of Mutants
09. Let’s Disinfect!
10. The Me I Must Protect

Nick Rivera – The Wasp and the Butcher…and the Bird / Coma (single)
This is the single from the new Nick Rivera’s album called “Zamalek“.
Zamalek is an island in Cairo in the middle of the Nile. But also a neighbourhood, something in between. This album is about the sky you can’t see from this island and the things that swim in it.
Zamalek is a warm cuddle from your trusted friend, a fist in the nape from your best enemy.

“Zeit ist eine Illusion”

Die Leere im Kern Deiner Hoffnung – Zeit ist eine Illusion
A huge guy with heavy glasses and a drop tuned electric guitar, a woman 10 feet tall, computer beats and synth basses. Post industrial beats, stoner bass loops, metal riffs and german lyrics. Guitars cannot be to loud, drum patterns never to stoical, bass licks never to dark, lyrics never to sealed.

„Their songs are precise, concise in the best sense, and in use of the sometimes minimalistic means highly effective. And damn powerful. Even if their message is disenchanting, their sound gives pleasure“ (Felix Klopotek, Stadtrevue Cologne magazine 4/2013)

Wacky Southern Current

“Argonautica”

Wacky Southern Current – Argonautica
Marco Cervellin, the force behind Wacky Southern Current, returns with his third album on No-Source. Argonautica continues the trend of high quality instrumental albums from Marco. To give Wacky Southern Current one genre is to sell the music short. A wide range of influences fill up each release from Marco. Argonautica is no exception. This is a more guitar-centric album with Kraut influences, particularly on the track “We Are Argonauts.” “French Radio” is a short burst of experimental soundscape, while “Blues in A” is an excellent seven minute jazz workout. Wacky Southern Current heads is new directions with such musicianship that it’s hard to believe they haven’t been there all along. Argonautica is: Marco Cervellin – guitars, bass, keyboards. Gianni “Ian” Garbo – guitars. Giacomo Gatti – drums.

“Jan Strach Otwiera Szafkę”

Jan Strach – Jan Strach Otwiera Szafkę
Inspired by a bout of nostalgia, Jan Strach dove into his archive of a few dozens cassette tapes full of songs recorded between ages of 16-20. After digging through a few hundred tunes, he selected the most interesting to present to you, dear listeners. From regular songs with acoustic guitar in the style of early poj.wlkp, through experiments with two cassette players, casio-created ambient, sampled rock tunes and mandolin instrumentals, Jan Strach shows creations, in perspective maybe sometimes naive, but always honest, authentic and melodically interesting.

“La logica delle Falene”

Echonaif – La logica delle Falene

Echonaif is a southern italian instrumental rock band: bass, guitar and drums. On 2011 their first EP called “primo” with five songs , features sounds close to the psychedelic rock of the ’70s. The second work now released on Nostress Netlabel is a newest EP called “la logica delle falene”. Five new and more aggressive tracks with a complex and sometimes noisy structures, frequently change of dynamics woven with guitar riffs, all originated from the immediacy of instinct creative jam that turn into songs. The recordings have an approach almost live-concert with few overdubs and post production.

“At Dusk I Painted Your Lips EP”

Deftechnixks – At Dusk I Painted Your Lips EP
Just like the last one, this Deftechnixks album was recorded based on Deaf Techniques, this time techniques DT01 (recorded without hearing the recorded track and without looking at the instrument) and to a larger extent DT11 (recorded without hearing the recorded track). This resulted in 12 songs, which, after a long consideration, were reduced to a six-track EP in order to not torture the listener too much. The lyrics were again written based on a stream of consciousness; the title and the look of the cover were selected out of all lyrics by a random number generator, as well as track order. The placement of cover elements were selected by another random generator, a two-year old.

“Proiekt Massage EP”

Proiekt Massage – Proiekt Massage EP
Proiekt Massage was a short lived project from 2002 – 2003. The Slovenian band consisted of Yoshi (kruh), Samo (Automassage), and Rok (Neuf Meuf, Automassage, kruh). In that year they produced only one EP. No-Source is pleased to be able to share this archived work with you. The music is experimental and lo-fi in composition and sound. Electronica, ambient, post rock, noise influence throughout. Melody and noise compete throughout. There is definitely some similarities between Proiekt Massage and other projects by band member Rok. Share and enjoy.
